    Lettuce Tomato and Mayo Cheeseburger
    Claire P.

I'm actually really impressed with this place from seeing all the reviews. I've tried twice in the same week and so far so good or should I say awesome! I've only gone through the the Drive Thru but you can go inside and order. The best part is they take Debit/Credit cards, a lot of these family owned burger places here usually take cash or checks from what I've noticed. Friendly staff and food is out really fast. It's not cheap but you get your money's worth that's for sure! It takes me 10 minutes to get home and our fries are still scalding hot and crispy! Not only are they delicious but you get a huge portion! The burgers we ordered (chili cheese burger and a regular lettuce, mayo and tomato cheeseburger) were not only superb in flavor but huge! My kids had the chicken finger platter that they can share between them. They were scalding hot, crispy, and packed with lots of flavor! ORDER THEIR RANCH! It's amazing! Go here with an empty stomach, trust me!

Philly chicken sandwich is really good. My mom got the barbecue sandwich plate and it was a lot of food.

Save your money and go up the road to the real clock. Lack of service (rude staff) = a no for me idc how good your food is.

The Clock has been here for over forty years. Longer than most marriages. Longer, certainly, than…read morethe one my parents had, which lasted closer to thirty years and ended, according to my father, because of a disagreement about a sectional sofa. I think about that sometimes. I think about it now, pulling into the parking lot, because there is something about a place that has simply endured that feels like a rebuke to everything that hasn't. Inside, locals from near and nearer move through the dining room, shaking hands with people who have been eating here for years. Years. I can't keep a houseplant alive for six months, and these people have been coming back, reliably, to this same place, to order the same food, for years. Chili cheeseburger after chili cheeseburger that creates a sense of togetherness and, at times, heart attacks. There's something almost painful about that kind of loyalty. Or maybe I'm just projecting. I find myself staring at the alternating layers of patty, chili, cheese, and I think onions for a moment before eating, the way you might stare at a word you've written too many times until it stops looking like a word. It is good. It is genuinely, embarrassingly good, in the way that things are good when they have not been overthought. And it was delicious in spite of health value. If you're eating at The Clock for health value, I direct you to the salads with prejudice. The menu runs from salads, to tacos, to hot dogs to a meat and three (or for those in Greer, a meat and four), which is not a range you encounter often in a single establishment. It is the culinary equivalent of a man who says he can fix anything. You are skeptical, and then you watch him fix the thing, and you don't know whether to be impressed or slightly ashamed of your own limitations. Ask anyone around town and they'll tell you about roller skating car hops, late night gatherings after high school games, real ice cream milkshakes. Nobody tells you stories like that about a place they didn't love. They're not telling you about the food. They're telling you about who they were when they ate it. I order the sweet tea. It arrives cold and correct. I'm certain my dentist has a handshake agreement with Jimmy that both will keep each other in business a long time. I will come back here, but not as often as I should. We all have our faults. The Clock has few.

The ambience was clean, modern, and fit the country club vibe. The golf course views on Greer Golf Course were great. What a bonus for the restaurant to be located on a golf course. The spring rolls and double smashed bacon cheeseburger were delicious. The flavors blended well together. My only objection was the noise level. It was difficult to block out the noise. I recommend this restaurant, and I will return again. Chef's kiss!

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly by the hostess. Although there was a slight wait for our server to arrive, it was not a big issue. This restaurant is famous for its house-made pasta, and they certainly lived up to that reputation. We both ordered pasta dishes; however, I found the limoncello dish a tad sweet for my liking, though the pasta itself was fresh and cooked to perfection. If you plan to visit, be ready to relax and enjoy conversation, as the food can take some time to arrive. They mention that their signature whole chicken requires a 20-minute cook time, but in reality, expect a wait of about 25 minutes for any entree. The standout dish of the evening was the Seafood Gumbo, which was simply fantastic! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the experience. I'm eager to return to White Wine & Butter for another meal soon!
