    Chicago dog.

I was in town to see a show at the 40 Watt. Downtown Athens always has a good meal to be found somewhere. Today I wanted to have a burger. Some of the more well known places down here I don't like so much for one reason or another. I have been walking past Clocked for years an never tried it. Well, today was going to be the day! I was seated quickly by a friendly staffer. The vibe here is Athens collage restaurant. Which I like. Rather than a burger today I chose the Chicago dog with some cheese fries. This is not a Chicago dog, the bun was toasted and not soft with poppy seeds. Bit it was good. The fries were freshly cooked, crispy, and hot. Cheese sauce was excellent. I go to a 40 Watt or Foundry show about once a month. I will be back to Clocked again to try a burger. I like this place.

The kids enjoyed it ... that's about it! Visited as a family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). We were seated fairly quickly, but that is where the enjoyable evening ended. The service was slow, she got our order wrong, and never offered refills. The kids enjoyed their 'basic' grill cheese and burger. As adults, we sent our food back! The food appeared old, under a heat lamp for hours, as if recycled, probably from taking so long to be served. A main reason I sent my food back was, as we waited for service I excused myself to use thw restroom. After seeing the restroom condition (see picture) and also you can see into the kitchen (it was not any cleaner!), when I returned to my table I could not imagine eating there. The bathroom and kitchen were nasty, dirty floors, dishes, appeared to have no organization. I don't see how anyone rates this place more than a 1 star!

Best burger AND tots AND shakes in Athens! You MUST order the Cajun tots with the secret sauce - it's a game changer! The blackberry milkshake was amazing (I've had it with and without alc in it and I thought without was actually better!) Would highly recommend trying this spot out while in Athens

Cannot have enough of the mushroom Swiss burger with the impossible patty! Best burger spot in Athens hands down. If you're wondering what kind of side to get- definitely try the Cajun fries with the feta sauce! Unbelievably delicious!

When in A thens..... so we stopped here for a Burger and a beer, both were very good. Place is nothing fancy, college town vibe, super casual. Lots of burger options and staff was quite friendly. We ordered sides of fries, regular and sweet potato. In my opinion the fries servings were on the meager side, I mean they're potatoes.... But overall a fine spot!

I was in town during UGA's spring break for a show. We were looking for a spot to eat lunch the next day and with so many options no one could make a decision. We finally settled on Clocked since we were talking about burgers and it was on a list of recommendations from a friend. We arrive around 1:30 on a Wednesday and were told it would be about 30 minutes for a table. There was a record store right next store so we shopped there until our table was ready. Once we sat we placed our drink orders and took some time to look at the menu. They have many vegan and vegetarian options including beyond burgers, tempeh bacon, black bean burgers, falafel, and even tofu hot dogs. We ordered burgers, fried pickles, onion rings and parmesan fries with a ton of dipping sauces. Beyond burgers aren't my favorite but they did it right, not sure what made theirs so special but I really loved the beyond burger here. They had so many different options for toppings, my partner got the one with peanut butter and he really liked his as well. The tempeh bacon had great flavor and were sliced thin. The fried pickles were also sliced thin but covered in batter and really crispy. I really enjoyed how much breading was everywhere, but they were also light and airy. The onion rings were huge slices of onions with the same airy breading as the pickles. The parmesan fries were the way to go. I love fries and the addition of the cheese and garlic really elevated them. I dipped everything in honey mustard and ranch and all the sauces were great. Service was good, food came out fast, and lots of options for drinks including cocktails and draft beers. If you're looking for a burger joint Clocked will not disappoint!

Great menu with vegetarian options. And unique ambience. Very Athens and Bohemian. Try the Mushroom Grilled Cheese sandwich.

Clocked is a very solid four-star place. The stingy undoubtedly jiggger bourbon pours at $9.00 a throw and the 4% "Non Cash Fee" took it out of the running for five stars in my book. Interpret that as you will. Anyway. . . . The food was really really good. By the numbers: - Pimiento Cheeseburger 5/5. This was hands down one of the best Cheeseburgers I've ever had. It's built with what seemed to me fresh, top notch ingredients. If you like Pimiento Cheese, this is the burger to get. - Tots 5/5. I couldn't find fault with them, so five stars. - Fried pickle chips 5/5. I couldn't find fault with them either, so five stars. The service was good. Despite it being a busy Saturday night all over town, we were seated in about ten minutes outside at a nice table. The weather was nice, so being seated outside was a plus. It's full bar with a good selection of beers, so they have all of your booze groups covered. I washed the food down with a Creature Comforts Tropicalia, as one does. Cheers!

    Mushroom Swiss and fries!

My favorite burger out there! I always get the mushroom Swiss and it never disappoints! The fries are crispy and the sauces are a great addition! I recommend the raspberry habanero! The meat is always perfectly juicy, the cheese perfectly melted, and the mushrooms are smokey. I would recommend getting the secret sauce on the side, though, to keep the bun from getting soggy!

Ring of Fire burger was good, just no heat. My onion rings were 80% batter. The upside was the beer.

They got a table ready for a party of 6 pretty quickly which was great! They have two dining areas inside and outside seating available. I ordered the peach french toast with potatoes, another person ordered the cinnamon roll to start and the a biscuit with gravy. My husband ordered the pulled pork bowl on grits and a side of fried chicken . The kids had french toast with fruit. My potatoes I can tell were from a bag and not fresh cut potatoes. They were tiny and probably what you can purchase at the grocery store, so they were crunch and hard to eat. The french toast didn't have the best taste, and the peaches seemed canned. Presentation was nice but I wouldn't order that again. My husband did not enjoy his pulled pork bowl either, he said it lacked a bit of flavor. The cinnamon roll was a little hard like it had been sitting for a bit. Now for the good, the fried chicken was some of the best chicken I had tasted so whatever is being done there keep it up! The biscuits with the jam available on the table were amazing! The kids enjoyed their kids meal as well. If in Athens again we would definitely get the chicken and biscuit but skip the other items we previously ordered.

We were seated immediately at a bar next to the front porch with a view of milledge. We both ordered mocktails, a fresh lemonade and cherry lime spritz, both were delicious and although we don't drink I can bet my bottom dollar their cocktails are crafted and amazing. We started with corn fritters, raw oysters and seasonal peach salad. The only thing I didn't like was the chili in the peach salad, I heard another table request it without so I guess that's an option but I believe in tasting it how it's served. For entrees we did the fresh pasta dish and the fish. Both were creative and divine. The filling for the pasta was silky and the touch of nutmeg or cinnamon in the sauce made it next level. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the coconut sauce. For dessert we chose a cherry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate cake with grape jelly ice cream. I'm not sure if they have a pastry chef but it's been some time since I've had a dessert crafted with so much love. The quality latte we drank with them was the cherry on top. Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.
