Overall, the campground gave the feeling of a neglected public work. It was probably intended as a boon for tourism, but it looked shady enough to this outsider that I decided to drive another hour to Sugar Bay. Maybe it's less shady in June and July when there are more tourists??

I didn't have high hopes for this campground after reading the other review, but we needed somewhere to stay in this vicinity. The women's bathroom was well stocked with toilet paper and paper towels and even had a couple of soap dispensers. (I can't speak for the men's). There was was a shower as well. There were a billion mosquitoes, so definitely bring bug repellent. Each site was mowed and cozy. The distance to the bathroom from our site (the farthest one) was very far, and a little creepy to walk through the neighborhood at night. It was a little loud, with barking dogs and an intermittent train. All in all, a great campsite for a quick stay, but maybe not worth staying more than a night or so.

Typical fitness center for a Fairfield (some treadmills, elliptical, two benches, dumbbell rack, exercise ball). Indoor pool is right next to the fitness center. The quiche that they served for the free breakfast was FIREEE but I know they change up their breakfast every day so it's not always available. I will absolutely be staying here again next time I come to Duluth.

In a time when air travel can be a huge pain and it seems that so many other airports have forgotten the customer experience the Duluth International Airport is taking a different approach. From the time you arrive at Duluth International Airport you are greeted with ample parking including covered parking in the parking ramp. There is also a covered Skywalk from the parking ramp to the beautiful James L. Oberstar terminal building. Inside, the terminal is bright and open with a whole wall of windows allowing sunlight. The lines at check-in always are quick and easy for dropping off any checked baggage and the staff is friendly. Then, it's time to go upstairs to the security checkpoint which may be the fastest security line I have ever used in an airport. In the gate area there is comfortable seating prior to boarding as well as charging stations for your electronics. There is also the new Club DLH available for a charge for those who need to do some work or some quiet relaxation prior to your flight. Sometimes it is a little more expensive to fly into Duluth as opposed to MSP, but if you can make it work, it's always worth it. Here's hoping the cost differential of the drive down 35 continues to get closer so that more people can take advantage of all that Duluth International Airport has to offer!

The whole time we were here staff were very nice , helpful and event gave us tooth brushes because I forgot to pack them. They allow up to two pets per unit. Theres a lot of spaces outside to walk your dog and let them relive themselves . No shortage of trash bins and two dog stations. Only downside is that there were a lot of dogs and people not picking up after their dogs. Not the hotel's fault. It's problem you see everywhere so just be careful when walking your dogs for landlines .

She has an artist's eye, because the suite was beautifully decorated as well as impeccably clean. She let us into the suite after a just a quick card tap and no paperwork to fill out. A note inside the suite asked us to simply leave the key in the place as we left. So easy. The suite includes one queen bed and a sleeper sofa, plus a kitchenette with two kinds of coffee makers and some coffee grounds available, plus all needed dishes. Even scissors to help open packages. Eileen thought of everything. My relative loved the extra shelf in the bathroom to set down her shower things, so unlike other hotels. The parking area was spacious. And even though there were residents in the other suite, we never heard them talking or any electronic device in the background, so the walls are thick. In addition, the Stardust is near to several restaurants, even within walking distance. Will definitely stay there again if we come to Floodwood.

Trails were well groomed, but markings are inconsistent and don't always match old map. Blue trail is not terribly scenic. There is a skijoring trail, but it is only for members.
