Sheryl ( I believe that is how you spell her name) was a very nice woman that knew what she was talking about! I believe she said she was the owner of the shop. They have been servicing the Clear lake area for about 15 years! So back to the shoe experience. I was able to tell Sheryl my needs , what my problem with my current shoes (average lower tier brand running shoes) and how I keep having or needing sports message or chiropractic adjustment on my lower back. She asked me to take off my shoes , measured my foot (width , height and arch support needed) , asked me to walk up and down the store and she immediately knew what kind of shoe would be best for me. It was so refreshing to know that she knew what I needed out of a shoe! She looked at my old running shoes to verify my step. She went to the back of the store and came back about 5 min later with 3 choices of shoes. She had me try on the first , walk in it and then try the next pair. One by one I would talk about how they felt and in moments she gave me her recommendation. I was really impressed with the owner and the store. You can tell the running gurus come here for a reason. They seemed to have several folks in the store helping people and I paid about $125 for the running shoes. They do have a rewards program so if you buy seven pairs of shoes the 7th one is free. After using the Brooks shoes on my first run it felt immediately different. No longer were my feet killing me getting off the treadmill or my feet and legs feeling just used up and sore the next day. My knees didn't hurt and my lower back felt fine. The cushioning and support on the shoe was what I needed. I can't say enough how happy I am with them. Thank you On the Run!!! I run for health reasons and I'm in no way shape or form a pro runner. Nor did I use to run track or cross section. I'm just an average guy that was looking for a change of the normal "running" shoe. The young lady storekeeper has been well trained in the business of the store, but lacks customer relations skills. I paid a premium price for a job (with an additional debit card fee!) and the job was not done as requested. I received no apology for the mistake, no compensation for inconvenience, and a poor attitude towards me as if I had made the mistake! Not even an offer for a fix. I refused to leave with the botched job. They finally (reluctantly) agreed to an accommodation. Had I known this would be the case upon pickup, I would not have spent so much additional money shopping for goods in their store. I would not recommend them.

Although I made it so close to closing, there was not one moment where I felt rushed. I already had an idea of what I wanted, but they still brought out three other pairs of shoes to try. They asked me questions, were very attentive to my needs, and offered suggestions. Apparently, I had been getting the wrong sized shoes for years. After their help with proper sizing and fitting, the shoes I purchased are the most comfortable walking/running shoes I have ever owned. Im not a runner and I'm a bit out of shape, but I have been taking walks in the shoes and I can feel myself wanting to run because the shoes are so comfortable. Fast forward a week after my purchase I saw my shoes were on sale and saw on the card that they offered price matching. I called the store and they immediately honored the price match from the phone call as I sat comfortably at home! I am very satisfied with my purchase. This is an expensive store, shoes are still good for the price, quality and .... compliments... It is a men's store. Just for fun I tried on a pair of XC4 waterproof shoes. I liked them. Afterall, I have a weird shape feet and find it soo hard to find closed shoes that work for me. I found them comfortable but big. I asked Maya to help me out with a smaller size. She did not have those. One thing about the store, if you don't see something on display its more than likely they don't have it. She did not carry a smaller size, but got me loafers and told me they were unisex. I loved them. Neural brown, criss cross stitch and posh looking . I didn't want a display piece so ordered one which will come home. The staff- especially Maya was very patient and friendly. It was a good experience especially considering that now I know, I can wear men's shoes too and feel absolutely comfy ! ;) These shoes last long. And being men's, the option in colors is pretty much limited to black, shades of brown and blue. So, that's a relief, I won't be visiting them anytime soon - saved my pocket . Lol... There is a great selection of just about everything you would want. Prices are lower than usual store but still generally higher than if you went to say, Marshall's/TJMAXX. For instance $160 Nikes were $100 here but you can find them for $80 at the Nike Clearance store. I was shocked that some of the prices were basically the same as "normal". $32 for a kid's Rockets T-shirt. No thank you. Luckily, they had signs that said if there is a "2" on the price sticker, the item is an additional 50% off which makes some items a GREAT deal. I left empty handed BUT will definitely come back and look when I have more time.
