Upon arriving in the women's department, we asked Ann where we should go for alterations. Ann couldn't be bothered to show us where to go, she instead pointed to a nearby fitting room. We then asked Deborah, and she took the dress, found a fitting room for my friend and promptly called the alterations department. Thank you Deborah. After the alterations were complete, it was suggested to my friend that she open a Nordstrom credit card in order to get back the alteration fee in Nordstrom notes. Deborah so kindly started the process. 45 minutes later, after being transferred around to four or five different departments on the phone, Deborah called for a manager. Kurtis, the manager, was finally able to finish the process. Had the alteration fee not been so steep ,we would have walked away. Truly, ridiculous. Kurtis did provide us a free lunch in the Bistro, for all the time wasted. While waiting for the approval process, I wandered into the lingerie department to look for a specific brand of underwear. There was no one working in the department. I had to find someone from another area and of course the sales person immediately said that wasn't their department. What has happened to Nordstrom and their sales team? Nordstrom was always the gold standard for customer service. Perhaps they should take a lesson from Von Maur- There are always plenty of people working and you are always asked if you need help. I am not sure why I would go back to Nordstrom.

The whole experience feels like shopping in someone else's closet - there's some quality stuff mixed in with the regular department store brands, but you're never quite sure if what you're looking at is a good deal or if you're convincing yourself it is because you drove out there. The staff is nice enough, but they're not going to chase you around the store or give you styling advice, so you're pretty much on your own trying to navigate through racks of clothes that seem to be organized more by size than any logical system. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find a designer piece that makes you feel like you scored big, but more often you're standing in the fitting room questioning whether that $28 sweater is worth it when you could probably find something similar and brand new for $35, and by the time you've thought about it that long, you've usually talked yourself out of buying anything at all. read more

The people working there are pleasant enough and will help you if you ask. Still, they're not exactly fashion experts who can tell you about the brands or help you put together an outfit, so you're mostly on your own trying to figure out if that blazer is actually a good deal or just looks fancy. It's one of those places you keep meaning to check out when you're already running errands in the area, and sometimes you'll leave with something decent that makes you feel good about shopping sustainably, but more often than not you'll walk out empty-handed wondering if you should have just gone to Target instead. read more

I love this place! It's a quality consignment shop that is not over run my junior brands( if that's what your looking for check out platos closet next door). My last trip I scored a Marc Jacobs blazer for $25 and a brand new with tags j crew dress ( retail 200) for $25 and a gorgeous bcbg maxazaria top for $12.They don't but anything stained, worn, or outdated so your not shoveling thru trash. read more
