I had overheard someone outside the store say that this store was one of the better Goodwills in the Bay Area for both quality of merchandise and how much volume the store would sell. It felt like a real find and how lucky we all were to have this store in West Portal. But now, all of the jewelry, merchandising, and consideration for how people want to shop is all gone. Now there is hardly any good stuff; it's just racks and racks of sub-par clothes. It's hard to walk around in the store or find anything. You want to spend less and less time in there. As a result I haven't purchased anything in there in ages. It needs to be re-named because it's not a boutique anymore. It's a mess.

I usually peruse the sci-fi/fantasy section and never come away disappointed. i've also noticed some graphic novels and comics, a children's section and a calendar of community events centered around reading. what a wonderful and welcome addition to the area.
