If you rely on professionals to help you navigate confusing home repairs, like myself, these aren't your guys. I think this situation came down to a lack of communication that unfortunately left me in a difficult position. I only reached out to Adam directly later, after another contractor told me the closet could have been saved and that the removal was "unnecessarily destructive." Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. because I wasn't given the chance to find out. To clarify, the note about the built-ins wasn't hidden in "fine print," but it was only mentioned once in the "Other Notes" section. It was never discussed verbally, by email, or over the phone, and it wasn't included in the detailed action items. I don't think a single mention buried in a notes section qualifies as meaningful disclosure, especially when no one pointed it out or explained its implications. Perhaps Adam does. Lastly, the other points raised, like the quality of the closet materials, water damage, or insurance support, are not relevant to my concern. They took away the dumpsters when filled, workers were respectful of both our property and ourselves, and they kept the worksite clean by straightening up every evening. When the project was done (we are 95 percent done), I saw them out with a magnet to pick up loose nails and screws, as well as sweeping up debris. The home is 100 percent improved and neighbors have commented positively. One visitor even asked if our home was new construction (it's not!).

At the end, you pay for any items they needed to purchase to compete your job. I opted for all three items to be completed and also asked for additional things to be added throughout the projects (trim, baseboards, crown molding, paint) and they accommodated every aspect (with additional cost, of course). 2 guys were here for about a week and they were both extremely respectful of the property (booties, cleaned everything, busted ass)..they even asked to use the bathroom every time even though I don't think that was necessary (there was a language barrier of Ukrainian/Russian, so made it a bit hard to know closet meant bathroom lol). Giertsen Restoration Services Company delivers a level of customer service reminiscent of the days when businesses cared about the customer My issue was a 40+ foot long brick wall with a severe case of efflorescence (think 99 on a 1-10 scale). This case of efflorescence was not only severe and extensive, but also very stubborn and difficult to remove. Fortunately, the Giertsen Restoration Services Company team was up to the challenge! The initial estimating visit by supervisor Krystian was thorough, efficient, and respectful of my home (carries shoe-booties in his pocket and uses them!). The most impressive aspect was Krystian's listening skills - he heard my criteria and passed them on to the rest of the Giertsen Restoration Services Company team. An estimate was emailed to me that afternoon.
