Such a gem in a quiet area! During a work trip to Alamogordo, we drove up the mountain to sight see and try some pizza. I'm so glad we did! It was literally about 30° cooler on the mountain (thank goodness) and the restaurant was cool too. The Greek pizza was fresh and full of flavor... I ate about half and brought the rest home for lunch the next day! I don't drink so I can't comment on the beer, but everyone seems to love it. Would definitely consider this a hangout spot if I was local to the area. Hoping work brings me back to NM again so I can return for more delicious pizza:) read more

Third visit here. Cannot understand or defend the lack of consistency in the service. We waited 45 min for our pizza, which we were forewarned of, but did not get drinks or sauce while we waited. After multiple requests, still got half of what we ordered and a bill was dropped off and picked up without a single word spoken. I understand we're not in a busy metropolitan area here but given the simple and straightforward menu and atmospheres, I expect the service follow that model. It would be a better place if you ordered at a counter and grabbed your own table, allow for self service. read more

The pizzas might as well be on top places of my favorite ones ever. They are very sought after and I can see it why now. The whole experience was deserving of a five star review. The waiting times on weekends and holidays can be very long but very much worth it. The service went above and beyond to get our food fast and have a good time. There's not exactly a lot to do in Cloudcroft, but there are definitely a couple awesome places to eat, and this is one of them!! While it may seem small on the outside, it has a cozy bar and sitting area (w/ fireplace), and extends further into the back for a larger atrium, large table/bench seating and an outdoor area! During summer time, live music is performed. The pizza menu may seem small, but the flavor packs a wallop! Their homemade tomato sauce is killer! This is a great place to go to after hiking the Cloudcroft trail. Let me warn you that the pizzas come in 12" sizes. It's more like a personal pizza. We ordered the margherita and the sweet & salty pizzas. Both were good and the dough tasted fresh. I did order the adobe beer. Not really a big fan as it was a little too tart for me. read more

I never believed my friend when he told me that this pizza was amazing until I tried it myself, now every time my wife and I visit CloudCroft we stop here for some good wood oven pizza, the service was really good and we got seated in less than 5 min of arriving. We got seated outside and even when it was cold the heaters did an amazing job keeping us warm, I will always recommend this place to everyone I know. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect rating (although it deserves it) is because I feel like some more food options on the menu would do this place even more good. I had heard good things about this brewpub. I met two friends there before venturing with them on a three-day camping trip in the Lincoln Mountains. One of my friends and I like to try craft beer when we travel. The brewery resembles a ski lodge, with lots of heavy wood inside. It's nicely laid out. I must say I was disappointed, though. It was a Friday night, Con Sal y Limon was playing on stage and the music was piped into the entire building. This is a good band, but the music was too darn loud! The brewery was packed and we were told there was a 40 minute wait. We each ordered a beer and waited in the bar. It was so loud, we could barely hear each other. When a table became free, we were seated outside in front of the stage. It was chilly out, and there were no heaters near us. We weren't even asked if our seats were OK. Children were running around outside and one bumped hard into me. It was like Late night daycare with parents who told their kids to run around and leave them alone. I had a Hotshot Hefe and it was awful. Hefe's ABV shouldn't be above 6%; this beer is 6.8% and lacked flavor. I ordered this beer from the bar and the beer pourer automatically tipped himself with my change. The brewery was out of the Adobe Wheat, so my second beer was a smooth Alien Vanilla Milk Stout brewed by the Sierra Blanca Brewing Company. My one friend had a De La Vega's Pecan Beer also brewed by Sierra Blanca My other friend doesn't drink beer and ordered a Pepsi. The big disappointment was the pizza. Either there is a new pizza maker there, but the Greek Pizza and gluten-free Peperoni pizza were both way too salty. It's as if the pizza maker went crazy with the salt shaker. We were so hungry we ate it all, though. But "great pizza" it was not. I had starved myself all day for a meal and beer at the Cloudcroft Brewing company and left disappointed. I would give this place a second chance, but only for the beer and then only when loud music isn't blaring throughout the dining area. read more

All the 5 star reviews that you read about this place - believe them all. My wife and I stopped by for lunch - and we are vegetarian. No problem at all. We started off with beers (I had a flight, while she had a stout). Every single beer choice was superb. But that was just the beginning. The salad was very good, and the pizza was excellent - the crust was just right and the garlic pesto sauce was goooooooood. We live in California, or we would be regulars at this place. Stop by. Not bad! The pizza is super good here! It's thin crust and crunchy. The cheese and pepperoni meshed well together. It's a bit greasy but not too bad. The pizza tasted even better when I added crushed pepper and parmesan cheese. They have a QR code that lets you check out which beers they currently have on tap from other New Mexican breweries. I missed this before ordering one of their beers made in house! I would've liked having a black cherry or orange cider instead of a stout I ordered. I wasn't a fan of the one I ordered at all. It was too strong tasting and bitter for me. It tasted like black coffee but much stronger. The after taste was worse. I wasn't able to finish it. I drank half of it. I'm into light, crisp beers. I knew better but still ordered it! Lol. The waitress wasn't that friendly and took awhile to serve/check on us. She checked on us once when our mouths were full. I think we went at a peak time so maybe she was frustrated. We sat outside under a bench/wooden table and umbrella in their patio area. I loved it! The weather was perfect! It was about 75 degrees. I'll take it! I overheard a lady saying it was too hot lately. I can't say that I agree! El Paso recently hit 108 degrees. The patio area is really nice. They even have a stage for live music. I saw a couple of pretty orange butterflies nearby. Even though I wasn't thrilled with the service or beer this time, I would come back for the pizza. On a cold and snowy day in Cloudcroft, we had a fantastic meal at Cloudcroft Brewing. There was a wait for this popular spot, but the phone/text waitlist was very convenient. I had a couple of great local beers, and the pizzas were absolutely great. My kids went at the pepperoni pies like savage animals, barely pausing for air. We stumbled upon this place while in Cloudcroft after a long day of exploring the area including white sands National park. And boy we are glad we did- we love breweries and this one did not disappoint. The pizza was good and the beer was even better. I had the pickle beer which I've been wanting to try and have never seen on any of the breweries we've been to - menus before now. My man had an IPA- like he always does, which he said was good. The atmosphere is nice here and their outside patio is dog friendly. Wishing it was dog friendly in the state area which was enclosed but always appeared to be outside - it was very nice out there. Love the heaters! We were here in June but it's cold up there - so those heaters were appreciated for the moment we were able to check out the stage area. A little disorganized start but a good one! We were told an hour wait so we grabbed three beers at the bar along with chips, salsa and guacamole and poof - table was ready which was a 15 minute wait and it was pretty busy on a Wednesday afternoon during week after Christmas. Beers were the amber ale, red spike or red rail and the java stout - all yummy and all were mighty tasty beers. Once seated, we ordered two pizzas both equally yummy - one build your own and the other was the Zia. Their crust was crusting and was amazing, even the next day for leftovers. Highly recommend! Our new favorite spot in Cloudcroft! We come up often from El Paso to hike and enjoy the outdoors, and decided to try CBC. So worth it! Good beer, delicious pizza, and a great venue. My partner and I drove in from Dallas to celebrate my 30th and this was our first stop. I love craft beer, pizza and the mountains so I knew this would be a slam dunk of a spot to check out but my expectations were exceeded. Working at a restaurant myself during COVID I am always interested in how other places are handling it. Cloudcroft Brewing was crushing it, everyone had masks on, there was tons of signs to let guests know the rules, there was plenty of space between tables and the staff was just really doing a great job at making sure tables were cleaned off properly between parties. Besides COVID procedures this place is just down right awesome. We tried several of their beers and loved everyone of the them, the pizza was delicious and the staff couldn't have been kinder. We loved it so much we came back two more times during our trip and had to bring home some beer with us. The Irish Red was probably our favorite. If there is a wait it's absolutely worth it! I've visited breweries all over the country and this is definitely in my top ten! The food and beer were great. The environment and style of the place is first-rate. Cloudcroft is a fun place and this place is great. They have a lot of variety in beers they make and a number of other regional beers offerred daily and it changes from time to time. The pizza variety is creative and they are served quickly. My only complaint is we dined in the indoor dining area next to the bar and we did not have a server for 5+ minutes. A server from the other area finally came in after several requests. When visiting cloudcroft, there aren't a ton of places to eat, so it feels like pretty much everyone eats here. They were hopping when we visited and we waited out in the car for a bit for a table. They have flights of beer, which is always awesome, and theirs comes on a cute little beer Ferris wheel kind of thing. We enjoyed a pizza and some chili and generally had a nice time.
