They were out of everything at 8:30am. Breakfast burrito (only thing left) wasn't very good, and the oatmeal was basically oat soup.

Came here Saturday morning, I saw the pictures on Yelp of the breakfast food they had but they didn't have anymore for the day. The dude actually started recommending other places in a very nice way and I was like wow thats refreshing to see. I knew their was hype around the coffee so I took one for the team and had breakfast at McDonalds (walking distance) and came back. 2nd day of Fall, so I ordered as most basic folks would, a Pumpkin Spice latte. Ordered a medium for the ride up to Yosemite and it lasted me a few hours and it was still warm in the cup. Definitely recommend getting your coffee fix prior to going up the road. read more

Stopped by on my way home from Yosemite hoping for decent coffee and was thrilled to find my iced latte on par with any of the best coffee spots in California's major cities. You could tell on the first sip this was delicious and smooth. Looked like they use beans from a local roaster called Reverent. Wish I had purchased some beans too. Highly recommend if you are anywhere nearby. Staff is also super friendly and helpful. read more

Cool Bean Cafe has the most beautiful employee. This lanky boy's snasty beard and rugged looks make him the feature of the town. Watching him count out the beans for my pour over was more satisfying than the glorious coffee itself. 10/10, would recommend. Wow! This cafe is a gem. Incredible baristas with great breakfast options. Coffee: The barista recommended the chordata. It's a shot of espresso and equal parts milk with a rim of cinnamon & sugar. Served in a shot glass. UNREAL. DELECTABLE. INCREDIBLE. Breakfast: We got 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 spinach quiche on a jalapeño bagel with artichoke spread & 1 chicken sausage quiche on a jalapeño bagel with artichoke spread. AMAZING. If I was forced to only pick one sandwich I would pick the chicken sausage quiche bagel however, both were superb. & I also must mention it's organic too. Whaaaaat. All in all this place is a must go. It's got a cool vibe inside with some fun seating & art work on the wall. The outdoor seating area is nice & roomy too. I don't drink coffee, so let me start with that. When my friend asked me to meet her there I agreed, already figuring I wasn't going to find anything. BUT I DID. This place is so charming, the staff is absolutely wonderful; so kind and informative. I ordered something called The Gatsby (I think that's what it was), which was a lovely earthy tea with hot milk stirred into it. I almost didn't order it because I often try to avoid dairy, but they had a variety of alternative milks! Definitely impressed with this little gem. read more

It's cute, they have cute drinks (think Gloria Jeans), and a small selection of bites. I got a pumpkin spice latte and I don't care if you judge me for it. It was great. No regrets there. The 3 other people in my party who got drip coffee felt quite different about their cups o' joe and regretted not getting something more artificial like I had. 3 of us got food as well and it seems like they use a single microwave to heat everything up so our quick pit-stop ended up taking a whole lot longer than we'd initially planned. I can say that my quiche was pretty good and even though we were there for closer to 30-minutes than the initial 5-10 minutes we'd hoped to be around for. Ordering was more difficult than expected as the guy taking our order would acknowledge what we ordered and then immediately forget in the time it took him to change from eye contact to looking at the register. I had to repeat each of the 2 items I ordered 4 times. No joke. If it hadn't been December, I would've thought it was April fools day. read more

My latte was perfect and delicious. Staff are kind and accommodating, and they have a super cute shaded outdoor seating area (indoor is great too, with cushions and outlets and many cozy corners for studying). Most importantly, this is the only small coffee shop in town so support it! read more

This place really is "cool". Everyone knew everyone and it was like the town hang out during our most recent trip to Oakhurst. On our vacations we try to find one funky coffee shop, and this was it. Their menu featured items like Smore's and Snickers latte, and their baked goods looked delectable. Not one for sweet, I opted for a classic espresso and their famous sausage quiche. That thing was good! The egg was so dense and it was packed with lots of flavor, definitely a hearty breakfast in preparation for a busy day in Yosemite. Great coffee after hiking in Yosemite all weekend. The crowd was great, you can tell there is a community there. Good check in offer and they offer a pleathers if typical coffee pastries. I avoid gluten and dairy so you may have some trouble finding something satiating but the coffee options are great. Definitely will be back. I want to move to Oakhurst specifically so that I can come to this coffee shop for breakfast every morning! While driving the long stretch from OC to Yosemite, my friend and I were in desperate need for a caffeine pick-me-up around 730am. We started driving through Oakhurst keeping our eyes peeled for a Starbucks (not by choice, but by convenience) and a sign that read "Local Coffee" caught our eye. Immediately we busted a U-turn and headed straight to The Cool Bean Cafe. I always try to support local shops and restaurants, especially as tourists passing through. We walked up to the counter and were immediately greeted with the warmest smiles and an actual "Thank you" for stopping in. The place seemed to be filling up with local friendly faces and everyone was SO incredibly nice, especially because you could so blatantly tell that we weren't from there. Of course, the coffee and breakfast sandwiches were DELICIOUS; however, it really made our morning to be treated as longtime friends at a place we'd never been. Thank you for the hospitality, Cool Bean, and please know we will be stopping by on all of our trips up to Yosemite! read more

This little coffee shop was the perfect little pick-me-up we needed in the middle of an afternoon. We had just come from a full day of hiking in Yosemite and were both in desperate need of a good cup of coffee and a snack. It's tucked into a small shopping center a bit off of 41, so you have to know what to look for. It's located next to a pizza place, in case you need another marker. The owners of this shop have a good sense of coffee. They offer an array of kitschy beverages, but they do have a pour over bar. Pretty cool to see in a small town like Oakhurst. I ordered an iced coffee and a caprese sandwich. My wife had some tea. Everything was simple and good. Not much more to report. The shop seems like a trusty spot to work from or have a meeting. Its vibe is pretty dated, but I really dig it. Glad we had a chance to stop in. read more
