We camped in Sierra National Forest for a few days and needed to work a little bit, PERFECT place!. Delicious breakfast sandwich with the artichoke spread,everything bagel, Quiche. I tried the Mayan Mocha , though it was delicious it was a bit sweet for my usual taste. If you like sweet, that is a great choice !! Nice space,plugs,Wifi,great coffee and delicious yums! My girlfriend and I stopped in for breakfast on our way to Nelder Grove. It was recommended to us by the bartender of the Inn we were staying at so we felt confident going to a place a local recommended. I had a chai tea latte which was deliciously creamy and had a great spice to it. It was a bit too sweet for my taste so if we are ever there again I'll ask for it less sweet. We both had the grilled paninis. Hers was the ham and cheese and mine was the mozzarella, tomato and spinach. Both with the artichoke spread. We loved them! Warm and gooey on the inside and the bread was grilled to be just soft enough and yet had that crunch. It's tucked back a bit in a plaza so it's easy to miss, but maybe thats a good thing? Locals deserve their space away from us tourists but they definitely treated us like their own. read more

The staff knew their stuff in terms of coffee. If you aren't sure what you want, they are happy to make some recommendations and even give a little background on every roast. It takes a little more time to get your drink than at a Starbucks, but the wait is worth it. I love this place and wish I had a place like this at home. This establishment is a very nice and local alternative to the Starbucks that is around the corner. The coffee was good, strong and sweet and the atmosphere made me want to hang out at the coffee shop all day. If you are looking for a Starbucks, there is one in town, but if you are looking for something that is local and has some excellent coffee, this is the place to go to. read more

Wonderful customer service and coffee! We stopped there for drip coffee to take with us to Yosemite. They had a medium roast and I prefer dark so they suggested a couple of blends for a pour over. Went with a Peru blend which was absolutely delicious! They even went the extra mile and steamed the cream for me. Would absolutely recommend for anyone passing through on way to Yosemite to stop. read more

Loved this place! We were visiting the area from Arizona for a week in July. The Mayan Mocha was so good and they have some of the best cold brew I've ever had! Cool Bean Cafe is an amazingly awesome coffee house! We got coffee here twice during our recent stay in Oakhurst and were blown away by the excellent customer service and delicious coffee/drinks. Organic coffee...not that easy to find, especially in the rural town of Oakhurst. The are closed Sundays, so plan accordingly. Super-friendly staff, and they really care about your experience. By far the best place for coffee in the Yosemite area...Keep up the great work Cool Bean Staff! We love you. read more

When Casey and Alyssa are present, this place is awesome. Friendly greeting, with a warm welcome, quick service with a smile and your food & beverages brought to your table. When they are gone, the staff becomes more interested in chatting, they don't offer the same level of service that occurs when the owners are present, the delcine is service is precipitous. The drinks have gone downhill of late, without any consistency. One never knows whether the drink that has been ordered will taste the same as what one has come to expect. We've started to turn to Starbucks, only because we get what we want and it tastes as we expect it to. I love the hang out spot, but some serious issues need to be addressed for it not to fall out of favor with the locals. read more

I was once a barista at starbucks, and a die hard fan... but I've left starbucks for The Cool Bean Cafe, and if you'd know me that's really saying something! This majestic local shop is instantly inviting the moment you see it, the staff are friendly and welcoming, eager to make your experience delightful, and the shop and outdoor patio are sensational and peaceful. They support their local artists, and love their community and customers. The owner recently blew me away with superior customer service and care that I've never experienced before in my life! My husky service dog is always welcomed, and he gets to enjoy a cup full of whip cream when he comes in, and LOVES being there relaxing with me, and seeing his favorite staff. It's my favorite getaway spot, their treats and drinks exceptional, and they even serve gluten free!
