100% would recommend Clover Canine! Let me start by saying they are our 3rd trainer we hired and thankfully our last! Our boys had a good knowledge of the basic commands but choose when they wanted to listen. They were very spoiled and knew how to manipulates us for sure. The more rules we tried to enforce in the house- after the Vet told us they needed to go diets- the more the pups pushed back. They are litter mates and were always very close till just after their 3rd birthday & this new diet thing. They started to get weird around each other. They went from sharing everything to being standoffish & growling at each other. During a tense situation at home one night they got into a fight- We were completely shocked but thought it was a one time thing. The next day we went on our normal walk, got home took the collars off- gave them their treats - one dropped and a fight broke out. It was a bad, the little one ended up needed surgery- lots of stitches and a drain from his spine to his stomach. We were upset & scared to have the boys back together. We didn't know if they could live together happily again. SO instead of calling one of the other 2 trainers we used before I knew we needed someone who actually connected with our dogs and us. I wanted a HANDS ON trainer that would BOND with our pups. I mean they are like our kids I would not just leave them with anyone. Our previous trainers did not leave us feeling confident or knowledgeable on how to deal with the situation we found ourselves facing now. Our first trainer was actually pretty bad and a waste of money- We took notes half the lessons and he never learned our dogs names & we never had a lesson outside of the house... Wasted $2000. Second trainer was fine but we choose not to use the E collars all day and only used them for walks. So they quickly learned how to behave when they had the collars on. SO we asked around and a friend referred Clover Canine and we're so happy they did! There are so many things we like about Clover Canine I'll just list them instead of making this review even longer... 1. I called upset and desperate. Garrett took plenty of time to answer all my questions and made an app to come visit us with in the next few days. 2. He came to our home to meet us- Koda our bigger pup almost instantly wanted to stay by his side- and did during our whole consultation! No other trainer ever did that. 3. He didn't make us feel bad for taking up so much of his time with our endless questions. 4. I randomly called and asked for a tour of their facility, they said, when do you want to come by? Anytime is good! I loved that. 5. His own dogs are very well behaved, loving and still have personality. 6. They have plenty of space and different areas for the dogs to play and train. 7. You get lessons during and after the board & train program. 8. They train the dogs in all kinds of situations- taking them to stores- out to eat- hiking- parks. 9. The training classes for the owners were very informative and much better then previous classes we took. I really felt good when I had to go home and do it on my own. 10. They have a boarding program you can take advantage of after graduating - only Clover Canine trained pups can go. Hopefully a dog park coming soon there too- hehe! So we've been home a little over 2 days now since picking up our pups and I have to say we're EXTREMELY HAPPY and feel it was a huge SUCCESS! NYE FIreworks storm outside for hours and our dogs were all together resting peacefully! They weren't scared and shaking like in the past during fireworks, they even went outside to do their business in it! They haven't ran to the door to bark at any delivery people/ or barking at every noise they hear. They look to us now for commands instead of just doing what they want and life just feels easier these past few days. The dogs are still very fun loving but they actually listen every time now! We took our little Lola that we rescued from the pound. They did awesome, she seemed so happy while she was there. They trained her and us how to keep up with her discipline. Took my Doberman puppy here for 2 weeks when she was 4 months old. The difference in her was amazing. She heels, stays in "place," and is much more calm. She no longer barks like a maniac when anything moves or to come inside. She stays in her kennel until she's released and she sits before going outdoors and when she wants in. She also sits as soon as she is allowed inside. She does grab for treats (leave it) until she's told she can. She's going back next month for another 3 weeks and I'm working on a list of behaviors I haven't been able to teach her like not jumping! This place is amazing, I took my dog Jack there, for training and WOW, what a difference in him, he's still the same sweet dog I took up there but so much more behaved, he just came home yesterday and I took him for a walk this morning and holy cow, what a difference...he didn't react to a cat (which he does not like) any of the birds, rabbits or other dogs, he was just perfect. After researching a few local training programs, we decided to enroll our 9-month-old Yellow Lab "Maggie" in Clover Canine's 4-week training camp. We were not disappointed! Our little Blu just finished his 4 week ecollar program with Clover Canine and we couldn't be happier. Clover Canine is a WELL run business and a great experience for any pup. The property is well kept, and they thought about pretty much everything when starting the business. Garrett has two climate controlled kennel rooms, clean relief areas with sprayers to keep the dogs cool, a grassy front area for training and playing, and a training field in the back for weekly lessons. Blu was a little over 4 months old when we dropped him off. In just 4 weeks we have seen amazing results. Blu has shown great bathroom, kennel, walking, and house manners since we've had him home. We just got a one year old German Shepherd. Was thinking to find a good trainer to teach him some manners and obedience. I did some research and very fortunately I found Clover Canine. My dog Cory attended the three weeks boot camp training. At the first demo session, Garrett taught me some skills and how to give commands to my dog. We had an awesome experience with clover canine. Our puppy just completed 3 weeks getting hands on training at the facility. At first, I was a little concerned leaving a puppy at a new place but I did my research and talked with Garrett and his team. They were empathetic, patience and very attentive all the way through the process. Walter (the puppy) came home healthy and with a catalog of behaviors he now demonstrates consistently. What an amazing and great experience! We sent our dog to training with Clover Canine for a month and it was the best decision we made. The trainers there really got to know our dog, found out what motivates her and works for her, and did an incredible job training her. Prior to training, our dog was pulling on walks, had a hard time staying in place, did not listen to her name or come when called, and got into mischief such as digging in the backyard etc. After Clover Canine, she still remains the same sweet, loving and playful dog but has now learned commands, is able to stay in place at extremely large distances or when we are not in the room, comes when her name is called, is amazing at walks (heels, does not pull, sits right by us whenever we stop walking, does not get distracted by cars, other animals, etc), has learned how to greet people, how to go walk through doors appropriately (sits and waits until we usher her forward instead of running at the door and jumping on it), and much more. The trainers are incredibly warm and loving towards our dog as if she was their own. She learned how to interact with different people and with other dogs while there. One of the reasons we chose Clover Canine was because it was in a home setting rather than a large kennel with only 12-15 dogs at a time rather than 30+ and it felt very personal. Some of the great trainers we got to know included Garret and Shanoya but I am sure all were amazing. In addition, we were able to come for two lessons, one at the 2 week mark and one at the end of the month. In these lessons, the trainers worked with and our dog for 2+ hours on learning how to continue training at home. In addition, in the first two weeks they were great in picking up our many phone calls to check in on her and never made us feel bad or uncomfortable for calling too much. Overall, this was the best decision we made for our dog and it was a great price. Can't praise this place and their trainers enough. Highly recommend. Excited to go to group lessons now with our dog for the next few weeks and I know she will be excited to go back as well. Brought our two mini Aussies to Clover Canine for the board and train program while we were on vacation. Garrett, Shania, and Alicia did a great job with them. They took them all over the place and socialized them, and when we got them back they were amazing. We have continued with group training and Canine Good Citizen training with Clover. Clover Canine has helped us tremendously with our two adopted dogs (Dobby and Luna). I wish we would not have waited so long to get them trained! Prior to Clover Canine, both our pups pulled horribly on the leash even pulling me down at one point, were reactive on leash with lunging, slept in our bed, and did not know basic commands such as sit, down, stay, etc. We did not know what else to do after trying some basic training classes at a local pet store and ultimately we were just dealing with the behavior. After 4 weeks at Clover Canine, our pups sleep in their "houses" at night, know basic commands and are extraordinarily better during walks. They heel well on walks and are easily corrected. When they do have moments of reactivity we are much more able to safely control their behavior and feel confident in our ability to walk our dogs. The staff is very professional and have lots of experience, in fact because of Clover Canine we were made aware of a neurological problem for our Dobby and they took him to the vet promptly. Not only are we happier but Dobby and Luna now have more structure and I think they are happier too. They are both still cuddly, loving and have not lost any of their personality!
