Long overdue review on my end for the best boarding/daycare we have ever used. My dog is an only child so we have been taking him to daycare sporadically so he can socialize and I know he loves it! When we go out of town we have been boarding him and upon drop off you can see how much care is given, my dog is happy to go back with the greeter and I get the cutest pictures throughout his stay. I have always worried when I'm on a trip but I honestly no longer do because my little Lewis is in great hands! I go out more now with no puppy guilt. read more

My Initial Expectations; This was my first time using Paddock's Paws. The facility was conveniently located near the venue where I needed to be, and I only required my dog to be cared for one day. I was informed that I would receive pictures of my dog during his stay. After registering for the app, I checked throughout the night but did not receive any photos. Concerns During Pickup; While the lack of pictures was disappointing, what truly frustrated me was the condition of my dog upon pickup. He had urinated on his blanket. Although my dog is not perfect, I am familiar with his behaviors--he consistently holds his urine until he is let outside and will whimper to signal his needs. It was clear that he was not let out before bedtime or during the night, which led him to urinate in his bed. This issue was not addressed until shortly before I arrived to pick him up at 10:00 AM. His Bedding was provided to me in a a double garbage bag with his soaking wet blanket. Water Availability; Another major issue was the apparent lack of water in his cage. Before drop-off, I ensured my dog was hydrated, took him to the bathroom, and prepared him for his stay. When I picked him up the next morning, he immediately drank two bottles of water and tried to ask for more. I had to wait before giving him additional water to prevent him from getting sick. Overall Impression; I am extremely disappointed with the experience and do not plan to return to Paddock's Paws. After speaking with Ashland, the manager, I believed the facility would be a good fit for my dog. However, ignoring an animal's needs while being paid for care is unacceptable. I paid $79 for him to stay overnight without water or bathroom breaks, which is not the level of care I expected. A very displeased former one-time customer. read more

My girlfriend and I have a rambunctious chihuahua, who despite his affinity to be an affectionate lap companion, had troubles separating from us any time we needed to leave. The shrieks he would emit were enough for us to receive noise complaints from our neighbors. Being at our wit's end, we came to Paddock's and found our Trainer, Khrystian, who went above and beyond to help us find a path forward that worked for us and our little Elway.I certainly won't say it was easy as it took a lot of training on both our parts, but the care and thoroughness of Khrystian and those who work at Paddock's was evident even from our first evaluation. In town for a less than fun occasion and was in need of help with my husky/shep pup while i take care of other things and was so excited to find these guys as a daycare option. The crew was SO nice and gave loki and i what felt like special attention, but i could see while in the lobby that all guests are given that level of care which is awesome. I got a tour of the facility and the walked me through how they work with the pups. We love Paddock's Paws. I was worried about finding a good groomer once we moved here since a lot of the times they leave my binx's hair leaving uneven. Every time we leave Paddock's, my binx looks so beautiful(and even)! He gets stopped every time we're on a walk and he's complimented on how cute he is. It's all thanks to paddocks! They leave him looking like a little puppy angel instead of the homeless stray he goes in looking like we recently started taking him to day camp and started at PetSmart but have now moved onto Paddocks Paws day camp at their new location and we love it. it's nice and big and even has a little outside area for them. binx comes back soooooo tired and walks right up to their place when we arrive. he has a lot of anxiety and going to Paddock's has already helped him tremendously. I strongly recommend. Only thing that can make this place even better is if there was a way to tune into what the dogs do during the day camp or get a little picture update. About two weeks after our initial review, we received a call from Paddock Paws and set up a time with a trainer to meet and have our boxer accessed to determine if he was aggressive or simply in need of some obedience training. After our first meeting with Alyssa and Khrystian we were relieved to know that Wall-E just needed to build his confidence, learn some obedience commands and be socialized in smaller groups that do not overwhelm his senses. Wall-E has been attending training and day camp on a regular basis. He is a much more content and calm dog. We receive progress reports each time we pick him up & suggestions to aid in his continual training also lots of pictures of our sweet boy on the web portal. There's not enough great that I can say about the entire crew at Paddock's Paws. So I'll just share our most recent experience. We went on an anniversary cruise and needed to board our 3 pups ( none are actually puppies) for 10 days! This is the longest we will have been apart. We have been boarding with them since they were at the old location, so we were comfortable doing so. Still, we knew we'd be missing them. Paddock's is great though. While away they were patient and informative with updates while taking our calls as we checked in, as well as uploading pics of our babies to see. When we finally picked them up they were all happy and healthy, as we knew they would be. But still, as a pet parent we would worry. My dog is special needs and has never had a groomer refuse to cut her hair. This place refused and charged way too much for the small amount of work that they did do. EDIT: Refund was granted. If you have a dog with special needs I would recommend getting a consultation with the groomer before committing to this business. We love Paddock Paws! We've been taking our 5 month old puppy Winnie here for training with Khrystian and it's been going very well. Winnie is a pit and super stubborn but Khrystian doesn't put up with her antics and gets results! We recently boarded our two dogs here while we went out of town for about 4-5 days. My dogs are anxious (both rescued) so I dropped off a note stating how to feed them if they were anxious, but to call if they weren't eating. After the first day and a half I haven't heard anything so I called and I was told everything was fine and they were doing great. The lady said she was just about to walk them and would send me a picture, but my fiancé and I never got the pictures, which we weren't upset about..just happy to hear they were okay. We didn't get pictures the whole time which is fine but probably would have helped our anxiety about leaving them. When we brought them home we noticed my boxer had only gone through half of her food. I was pretty upset because I had told them and written on the note to call if she wasn't eating, and they didn't mention that on the phone when I had called. We are always able to get her to eat and I know if they had just called I could have given them strategies to try with her. I figured she was nervous so I wasn't going to make a big deal, but then I saw she had a bad mark on her lip that occurred while she was boarded. I'm not even sure if they had social time with other dogs because we didn't get an update, so I'm not sure where or how she got it. My two dogs boarded in the same room so it could have been from my other dog, but the fact that they didn't notice or did notice and didn't tell me is troubling. It appears this place does great with dog training and grooming so I don't want to take away from that but I did want to send this review just in case others have anxious dogs and are considering staying here. And the ladies at the desk were always so nice and personable. Like I said, I do know my dogs are both anxious and they may have not been easy to watch but if we had just been updated a couple times throughout the stay I'm sure things would be different. read more

Our rescue pup had never been socialized and demonstrated dog aggression. Jereme spent hours educating us on dog behavior, helping us to establish rules and customized training to Max's needs. He came to our home so Max was in familiar surroundings which was also super convenient. He was a calming presence for Max and put us at ease as well. He uses positive reinforcement training which we were a little skeptical about at first; we thought our meathead was too stubborn to respond to it yet he did from the beginning! I adopted a new dog named Hiro in April and we quickly found out that he is pretty dog aggressive & has also become very aggressive towards people that he is unfamiliar with- especially inside our house. This place did good the first couple times with my dogs....until my german short haired pointer came home with pee all down the front of her legs and when i called for an explanation i was told "oh i don't know" and wasn't offered another cleaning or anything. My older poodle goes there as well and we warned them MANY times he may bite but you CAN muzzle him. The last time we picked him up after 4 HOURS.....he was cut on his neck and all they said was "he bit me" YEAH NO WAY not like we warned you a million times. Shit. Id bite someone too if they cut my neck. Never again. read more

I'm so glad I found this place, even with it being a little bit out of the way for me. I adopted a dog who was very skittish and wouldn't even respond to his own name. Jereme met with Rusty and I and was able to identify things that I needed to work on with Rusty and the training class that we took was educational and intimate with smaller class size. I've felt completely comfortable going to any of the staff when I've had a concern about Rusty's behavior or how to be a better pet owner. Rusty also has had issues being ok with other dogs at times but any time I've had a need to take him to the day camp he's done really well with the other dogs there and it's been a great way to socialize him. I've even taken him there for socializing days and they're always excited to see him. Don't let the bare ness of the area around it deter you, these people are amazing with the dogs and truly are dog lovers that just want the best and happiness of our pets. read more

I adopted a dog from the Maricopa County shelter this past spring. He was an owner surrendered "project dog" and had been in the shelter for 4 months. He's a Labrador mix and he's about 70 pounds, very athletic and strong. When my family and I met him at the shelter, he was calm and non-reactive to anything including people, other dogs and cats. He didn't really show any emotion or a lot of interest in anything but he liked affection and he was in perfect health. We didn't pick up any signs of aggression or dominance issues so we were happy to take him home. The first two weeks he lived with us he showed some signs of anxiety- a little wary of almost anything new such as the ceiling fan turning on, a new noise made by crumpling a paper bag, the AC turning on. His anxiety issues became forefront within a month and he showed his aggression towards dogs and strange people by growling and lunging and in one unfortunate case biting another dog and causing a severe injury. We were on the brink of trying to re-home him, fearing that we didn't have the time to commit to training and re-habbing him, but then Jereme came into the picture. Jereme assessed our dog's issues and began working with him while showing all of us how to train our problem dog and how to cope with his specific type of anxiety-induced aggression. We committed to it and Jereme showed us that it's not the time you spend training it's the quality of time training and the bond that you build with your dog. I'm pleased to say that our formerly terrible dog has lived with us now for 7 months and he has shown incredible improvement and he has become a different dog. His personality shines now, he wags his tail, he can show us that he's happy and it's the structure and the routines that Jereme helped us with that makes our dog so fulfilled. He loves going on a walk, but we don't just walk him and let him roam wherever- we train him to sit when we stop walking, to ignore other dogs and people, to not chase birds. It's that kind of "work" which Jereme showed us, that he really loves and he's now thriving. Certain breeds need more than love and affection and the discipline that our dog needed has helped him grow while keeping his traits and qualities intact. He's loyal and loving with our family while being protective and he's a smart, excellent listener all thanks to Jereme's work and what Jereme taught us about dog behavior and tendencies. We have a lot more work to do but he's always improving. Jereme might actually love dogs a little too much. If you told me that he slept at night with 10 dogs in his bed and ate his own dinner out of a dog bowl on all fours, I'd believe you. If you have a dog in need of training or correction of some really bad behavior, especially if you have a restricted breed such as a Rottie, Pit, Dobie, Shepherd, etc. please reach out to Jereme. You will be happy that you made the call. *Please do whatever you can to be your pet's caretaker as well as family member and make it a lifelong commitment. I would like to submit a short update..... Jeremy the owner reached out to me personally to apologize about the entire situation. He explained that he was currently away at a shelter (I'm assuming doing training on aggressive dogs) and that he was truly apologetic about the entire stay (I honestly fully believed him) he made no excuses for his employees and said this is no way how he expects his company to be ran in his absence. I explained to him that I would probably never be back and he completely understood and appreciated my decision and even offered to make some recommendations for boarding and training. It says a lot about a man's character to step up and take ownership of a mistake of this nature but that's exactly what he did and I must commend him for it. He truly seems like an individual who cares about animals and felt horrible about what happened.
