The day I brought my car to him, it was raining so he suggested we not try top speeds in the rain and asked if I could leave the car with him. The next day he text me immediately to update me on the condition of the car and what needed to be done. One issue was the front tires needed replacing (they don't do tires) so he gave me recommendations on where to get cost effective replacements and advised me on other possible replacements. When I inquired around what could wait vs. immediate needs he was transparent and told me what was a now fix even if it didn't put money in his pocket (like the tires). I'd definitely trust him with any future work. He seems to care more about your safety than just making a buck. Never tried to upsell me on anything and explained each step. Transparent. Ethical. Jon's found several deficiencies, including bad rear shocks, worn out front control arms, a bad battery, and a timing belt tensioner that had not been replaced when the timing belt was. After renegotiating the purchase price, I brought the vehicle back and they made all the repairs and had the vehicle back to me the next day. Upon picking up the vehicle, they showed me all of the parts they took off as well as all of the boxes that the new parts came in to ensure me that everything had been replaced. He also recommended an alignment because of the new parts but does not do alignments at his shop. That implies that his concern for the upkeep of the vehicle extends past his personal profits from work being done. So far, I'm happy with the work that was performed, and the amount of time it took to perform it. He quoted the price up front, it was the same price when the work was done.
