This is a place that has a huge selection of flowers, plants, and veggies only in season (think…read moreMay-July). It does not have the selection of bushes or trees that other places have, but what it does have is very reasonable in cost and abundant in selection. We buy our seasonal baskets of flowers, some veggies, and some perennials like Hydrangeas --which are $20 less per basket than say, The Growing Place. So it's like Home Depot prices with a lot of selection. I think their main clients are landscapers and wealthy home owners, as I see trucks of stuff pull away. Avoid the knick Knack area. I bought a very pretty metal water fountain for birds one year for over a hundred, and it immediately rusted (threw out). I think some of their garden decorations are decades old. Stick to the plants.

They helped me to repot my bonsai and they have a huge selection of bonsai tree's and pots. They also have tools for gardening and fertilizer. all in all it was an amazing experience seeing someone turn their home into a store. Unfortunately, during our visit last week we experienced an extremely rude cashier. After the gentleman wrote down our inventory, we took the paper to the cashier. Instead of greeting us, she proceeds to snatch the paper out of my Mother's hand and begins to ring up the order. She doesn't say "Hi" or "Welcome to Luurs", nothing. I did notice after we left she greeted the next customer. Having said that, I don't know why she was so rude to us. The other workers were friendly. However, this employee needs to be trained on how to conduct good customer service to ALL patrons if she will be front facing to customers.
