After posting my review, the manager took the time to personally call me and send an Email providing a detailed explanation addressing the reason for the significant price increase. Because of the way CLT Appliance handled my concerns, I want to update my previous review. My original concern was regarding the pricing of a repair and the inconsistent explanations I received about why the cost had increased significantly compared with my previous repair and a recent quote from the company. I want to be clear that my concern was not with the technician. He was professional, courteous, arrived on time, and completed the repair well. After reviewing my feedback, the manager from CLT Appliance reached out to discuss my concerns. I appreciate that the company took the time to listen and address the situation rather than dismissing my feedback. I also appreciated that my initial conversation with the manager's assistant was escalated and handled promptly. The manager reviewed my concerns, provided additional clarification regarding the pricing, acknowledged my frustration, and worked with me to resolve the issue. CLT Appliance ultimately refunded the $125 difference that was the source of my concern. I appreciate a company that is willing to listen to customers, take accountability, and make things right. While my initial experience left me frustrated, the way CLT Appliance responded afterward demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction. I also want to again recognize the technician who performed the repair. He was professional and did excellent work. Thank you to CLT Appliance for taking my feedback seriously, following up, and resolving my concerns.

He carefully explained the problem to me and was able to clear it up at this visit. I might add that my issue was with a dryer vent that vents to the ROOF of my house. The tech had to go up there on a sweltering hot day....never said a word about how terrible it must have been in that attic. I'll use them again!

The part came in a day later than expected but they communicated promptly. They scheduled to come out as soon as they had the part and service was quick and the problem was fixed. I love that they text to let you know they're on their way, along with a picture of the tech. The tech was professional and polite. I will definitely use them again if needed. When I called they said they could definitely do that and scheduled me. The person they sent was AWFUL!!! He had no idea what he was doing, pretended like he did until he got the whole dryer taken apart and then said "oh you can't side vent this because there's not a hole here" when there is a knock out clearly marked and it says it in the manual that you can do it. Then he tried to charge me $79 for not knowing what he was doing. When I refused he got very aggressive and more rude. He called me stupid and threatened me when he left, repeatedly saying he "would see me soon". As a women it was TERRIFYING. Im really glad my husband was here but I would be so scared if he was in the house with a woman by himself. Frankly, call literally ANYONE ELSE before you call these horrible people. Also, in case they try to say the dryer isn't four way venting the model is GTD58EBPVDG It literally says it in the manual.

    I have a warranty through Lowe's with Assurant Claims, and a repair request was filed for my…read moreappliance. The owner of Carolina Appliances, Billy, came out to service the order and advised that he would order the part and contact me once it arrived. After waiting, I called multiple times to check the status and was repeatedly told someone would call me back, but I never received a response. Eventually, I was informed that my order had been closed and that I would need to submit a new service request. By that time, my warranty had expired. I contacted Carolina Appliances to ask how I could escalate the issue and was told, "How can you escalate above the boss?" Unfortunately, the customer service experience was very disappointing. I normally do not write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so this does not happen to someone else. If a company tells a customer that a part has been ordered, consumers should be able to trust the technician's word. Mistakes can happen, but as a business, the company should take responsibility, make it right, and reorder the part rather than leaving the customer without support after the warranty expires. Luckily for me, I called Lowe's and they resolved the issue.
