Instructors are great (special mention to Paige, Karina, Joyce). The front desk is an ever revolving door though and even with autopay they have messed up a merch purchase for me - gave me wrong total but proceeded charging my card with the higher amount, put my classes on hold for a $20 bank charge that wasn't my fault to begin with. With the ever changing front desk, you can get charged for a no show even though you attended the class. read more

I've been going to Club Pilates Monrovia for close to 4 years now. In the beginning, I went to Club Pilates to help me with back pain due to work related issues. Then it evolved to looking my best in wedding dress. Fast forward to today, 3 months post partum, my new reason is to feel like myself again. One of the things I appreciate most about this location is the ample parking. I usually book the CP Reformer Flow class through ClassPass and arrive about 10 minutes early. Grip socks are required, and first-time visitors will need to complete a waiver before class. The studio itself is well-equipped and welcoming. The lobby features cubbies for personal belongings, a water refill station, and a selection of apparel and accessories for purchase. Inside the studio, there are 12 reformers along with TRX straps, mats, and other equipment that instructors incorporate into workouts. This location of Club Pilates is in Duarte-Monrovia area, in the same plaza as a Planet Fitness. There was plenty of parking. I made my reservation for the CP Reformer Flow on ClassPass and arrived 15 minutes early since it was my first time at the studio to sign their waiver. Grip socks required, which is standard operating procedures for reformer pilates classes for safety. In the lobby area there were cubbies, a water refilling station, and clothing and accessories for sale. This studio has 12 reformer pilates machines and fully equipped work out equipment. Club Pilates are always well equipped. The classes are 50 minutes with 10 minutes in between each class for transition. Our class started a couple of minutes late. There was also annoying feedback with their audio system. There was one speaker at the back of class and it was right by my reformer and it was so painful when it scratched in and out I had to point it out to the instructor and she turned it off. Most other studios install their audio along the ceilings so it's not painfully loud at ear level. The overall layout of class was on the easy side for me, since reformer pilates is one normal work out. At times the instructor gave unclear descriptions when we were already laying down and I had to sit up to see what she was trying to describe. Not a matter of volume but a matter of communication clarity. I didn't feel a strong sense of community with the attendees. Not too much socializing. There was a sticker wall to motivate the students. As I am evaluating studios to commit to in the area, I like this location because I was able to do a reformer pilates work out and then head to Planet Fitness to wrap up with cardio and getting in my steps for the day. However I don't feel welcomed by staff or a sense of motivation I like when I look for a new studio to commit to. read more

I love Club Pilates Monrovia! Their classes are challenging, but the exercises are available to people at any level and they are great at giving modifications when needed for any Injuries you might have or any other accommodations you might need, including for those ladies who are pregnant. They have various special cushions as well as modifications for exercises to support every kind of person in their fitness journey. I myself started at Club Pilates Monrovia after having cervical spine surgery for the second time and being advised that I should be limited on what kinds of exercises I do. Pilates allows me to safely exercise to my level of ability giving me a challenging workout without causing impact to my spine. The staff, manager and teachers at our Club Pilates in Monrovia are just fantastic. They're all warm and kind and they sincerely care about their members. There is also a lovely community at Club Pilates Monrovia, where members and staff find time to get to know each other and support each other before and after class. This place has the worst customer service. Also, it's impossible to get into morning classes. I've had to quit bc I can't ever use my credits. The management really doesn't care if you come, if you go, if you can take your classes or not. Only sign up if you want middle of the day classes. The instructors are great. It's just the management and owners that are horrendous. Today they contacted me to sign up, but they didn't address that I was leaving bc it's impossible to get into classes. read more

My friend and I tried Club Pilates on a weekday, and our class was nearly full. The instructor was good, but the studio was okay. My equipment was a smidge sticky and worn, which was fine, but there was quite a bit of dust and hair under my reformer and around the floor, which was quite noticeable when we were on the mat. It was a fairly inexpensive class as I booked through ClassPass, but I'm not sure I'll be back despite how much I enjoyed the class itself. Be sure to bring grip socks! 4.5 stars rounding up to 5. I have been a member of this Club Pilates Monrovia for 2 yrs going on 3 now. Like many, I found this Club Pilates through Class Pass. So I've tried my fair share of different Pilates studios around town and LA. While I liked a few boutique studios, they weren't as convenient as this Club Pilates. I loved the smaller classes of boutique studios with more instructor's attention, and more challenging exercises. But that's moot point if you can't even get into a class. Many boutique studios were too difficult to schedule because of how limited their class size and availability were. But at this Club Pilates, there are classes throughout the day with different levels and varieties. So I usually have no trouble finding a class for any day. I also love the instructors here. They're very encouraging, and they definitely make you break a sweat. So it's always a good workout. This location is super convenient. There are plenty of parking spots, and lots of shops to run my errands after class. And there's even a UPS store here. In fact, I even signed up for a car wash membership next door just because it's right there. Now, the half star deduction is for the dust bunnies collecting under the reformers sometimes. It's kind of gross when I lay down on the mat and see dust clumps right next to me. I think just running a vacuum robot on a nightly schedule would help here. And another thing that is a little annoying is the turnover rate of the front desk staff. It's hard to build a sense of community when the key person you meet as you walk in every time keeps changing. It's like they're gone before you can even learn their names. And it also makes communicating issues, or questions hard to follow up on when the person you talked to just suddenly disappears. So I think management should try a little harder with retention. It really makes a difference to the whole vibe and experience. Overall, it's my studio of choice, and I hope to continue my Pilates journey here. read more

I started taking classes at Club Pilates near my office pre-pandemic and took a break when life got busy. I was thrilled to discover this Club Pilates location near my home over a year ago. I signed up immediately and attend classes regularly. It's been such a positive experience! There's a variety of levels to choose from, at various times throughout the day. The instructors are engaging, hands-on, and incredibly knowledgeable! I continue to learn something new in every class. I was especially thrilled to see that one of my favorite instructors, Ricardo from the Little Tokyo studio in downtown LA, also teaches at the Monrovia location! All the teachers are fabulous, btw! :) The studio offers plenty of free parking (bonus points for that!!), the front desk team is always friendly and available to answer any questions. Morning classes have become something I truly cherish. It's so nice starting the day with familiar faces. We've built a genuine sense of community, cheering one another on and celebrating progress together. It makes the experience not only effective, but incredibly rewarding. The instructors are experienced and really focus on proper form, which makes workouts safe and effective. *****VERY SHADY/SCAM BUSINESS PRACTICES***** TLDR: My wife called the studio to cancel her membership 2 months ago in March and is still getting charged for it in May and the studio does not care/will not do anything about it. Instead they are trying to gaslight us and saying it is our fault. My wife called the Monrovia Studio twice on March 27 and on March 28 to cancel her membership at the end of her next billing cycle which was on April 27. The receptionist on the phone told her that her membership would be cancelled and that April would be her last month. During the call my wife was never told about any cancellation form or 30 day notice from the receptionist I spoke with (this is one of their many policies hidden in your contract agreement). This receptionist told her that she was good to go and shouldn't see the recurring charge anymore and told her there was nothing else on her end that she would need to do. On April 25 my wife noticed that her app had not been updated to show cancelled so she called again to double check why it had not been cancelled and that is when she was finally told about this 30 day cancellation notice form that needed to be filled out. She promptly filled it out the same day and the receptionist told her that she would not be charged for May. But on April 27, I was charged for the month of May. We have called 5 times regarding this issue now and have had no help from anyone. We spoke with the manager today, Yael who did not acknowledge my wife's call records on March 27 and pretty much said that it was my wife's fault for "not being clear enough". How much clearer can she be than "I want to cancel my membership"? She did not try to provide any reasonable customer service in assisting us with this issue and instead tried to gaslight her in saying it was my wife's fault for being unclear. My wife should not be charged for the mistake of an untrained receptionist for giving her misinformation for cancelling her membership. She even told my wife that her app should be updated without ever mentioning that I needed to fill out a 30-day notice form, nor with that ever being sent out to her. It really is a shame that it came down to this, because we both liked the instructors at the studio and had decent in person interactions with the receptionists, but after reading on other forums about many others having similar shady experiences it is clear that this is business is a scam. We have filed an official compliant with corporate and will continue to fight this until this is resolved. read more

I started at another Club Pilates location at the start of 2026 and upgraded this week to a Passport All Access Membership so I can go more often and take classes close to home and to work. This morning was my 13th class, but only my second class at the Monrovia location. This studio is so pretty inside! I also loved Ricardo's attentiveness and his thorough explanation of the purpose of each movement. I'll be able to apply what I learned today to future classes. It was my first time trying out pilates and I loved it! I registered for a 30-minute free trial via its website. Reminder: Bring grip socks! Maura was my instructor and she had such an uplifting energy! She was constantly checking in on us throughout the session and giving us constructive criticism. The class was easy to follow along and was designed to challenge beginners. The studio was clean and felt very intimate. The equipments all felt brand new and is disinfected between each session. First off I want to say that the instructors are great. The management, on the other hand couldn't care less about their clients. I signed up 3 months ago after the intro and agreed to a 3 month commitment which is their policy. I originally signed up for Pilates to strengthen my back after a back injury, and to get back in to shape after having a baby. Unfortunately after 2 months I ended up tweaking my back. I tried to contact management via telephone but they NEVER answered their phone. Honestly I am not sure why they even have a number. So I went in to inquire if I can have an extension on my credits. I was told by the front desk person that they occasionally grant extensions for cases like this and that she would pass my message on to management who will get back to me. After a week I called again but no answer so I finally went in to inquire. The front desk person said there is no management around but that she would pass my message on to her..again. I never received an answer and lost my monthly credits. This is not is how you should run a business. They do not value their clients at all. I understand if they couldn't grant an extension but at the very least they should have gotten back to me or ANSWERED their phone. I will look for another Pilates gym that actually cares about retaining their clients. read more

Instructors here are great, no complaints there. However, management is horrible. They do not reply to emails and no way to get ahold of them. I fulfilled my 3 month minimum commitment (which they didn't mention upon signing up so read the contract before signing) and filled out the cancellation form online. Never heard back!! Sent a follow up email. Nothing. I see they keep trying to charge my account adding their late fees on top of that. I sent another email revoking them from debiting my account. Despite sharing with them my recent and continuing medical issues & restrictions and requesting to cancel my membership or even modify it so I can buy 1 class at a time when I am feeling better, however, they charged me for a service that I have never used. I have contacted the club multiple times to resolve this in a friendly manner (August 4, September 7, October 20, November 6, November 11, and November 29) but either reached a teacher who promised to get the manager to call me back or black-hole voicemail. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. Their corporate office email and phone is also a dead zone. At one point, "Serena" claimed she would discuss my issue with her manager, only for me to discover SHE IS THE MANAGER. Again, I received no follow-up. Club Pilates got their money. They continued to try and charge me for an extra month of classes, of which I battled monthly. I have never been to or even stepped in their gym since August. I have tried to work with them on a friendly alternative solution. However, 'they' continued to push through charges on a monthly basis for zero services received!! When I disputed the charges with my bank, Serena refuted the charge, stating "I knew what the rules were/are", and the bank charges were reinstated. What a rip off not to mention borderline ILLEGAL??!! It is clear that Club Pilates Monrovia prefers to "stick to their rules" and steal from those with extraordinary challenges versus being humane. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now and love it. The instructors are great, they switch it up and keep things fresh frequently. There's the core instructors who have been there forever and a few who come and go but all are very knowledgeable. The studio is very clean. The microphone kinda sucks most of the time lol. If I can give no stars I would!!! Do NOT sign up for a membership here. First there is 1000 rules. You can freeze the account but you have to freeze it 7 days before in order to not get charged. So you need to know the future whether you are going to get sick, life changes, you go through financial difficulty, etc. Then while its frozen you cant cancel it and when you cancel has to be 30 days. They lie about saying they explain things to you. They are unwilling to work with you even if you explain your life situations. Oh yah did I mention you have to pay for it to be frozen as well! The classes are always filled but you have to use them within a certain time period or you loose them, makes no sense if I bought them I should be able to keep them. Some instructors are terrible always reminding you when you mess up in a 1.5 class that its a 1.5 class and you should know. SORRY if i have other things on my mind, or im not feeling well, or I forget , sorry I am HUMAN. Or maybe you just dont explain it very well. Im paying for this class so even if I mess up or dont know what I am doing TOUGH I AM PAYING THE FEE!! I am more than glad to get up and leave if you pay me. I was very happy with the club when i first signed up but once you have things happen in life which you will they dont get care they just want the money. Honestly as a business I get you need to make money but also if you treat your customers right and are understanding they may come back.
