After going to the Creepfest at Caufield's we had lunch at Cluckers in Jef. Excellent service and reasonable prices with huge portions. The fish sandwich with onion rings was quite filling. My daughter's chicken wrap was more than she could eat. My son in law had an appetizer(pretzel with beer cheese) and an alcoholic beverage. He had more than he could eat. We had a window view of the Ohio River. We had to park a block and a half away as they were setting up for a music event by the river. Other than that everything was fine. read more

Wow. Visiting this area because of AROTR. We drove around and decided to go in. Plenty of parking. It was slow because of the rain. We got Allison who was TERRIFIC! She was friendly and helped us decide what to get. I was thrilled with my Chicken and Waffles. $11.76 Such an interesting waffle. They were crispy with, I want to say brown sugar crunch. God they were good! The chicken tenders were perfectly breaded, not to heavy, not to light and they were tender and moist. You get three large tenders and two waffles. I could not eat it all. My friend had a bacon hamburger and French fries, which she enjoyed. She too could not eat all her food. If I lived here, I would be here every week for the chicken and waffles. Great view of the Ohio river and Louisville from the dining area of this Jeffersonville, Indiana wing spot. Really impressed with the wings and sauce. My coworker got boneless wings and he was very impressed, and he is a boneless wing aficionado. Ten boneless wings and a basket of tots was too much food for him. My wings had a crisp skin and perfectly cooked meat, tossed with a delicious buffalo honey gold. My co worker got the garlic parmesan with a side of cluckin boom boom. Both sauces are delicious, the boom boom was just enough heat for flavor, slight sinus reaction, but no mouth numbing burn. We also got the Monster Mozz sticks, you will love these, finally an egg roll sized mozzarella stick! Just be careful it is chewy, if you have ever eaten Mochi, if you bight off more than you can chew, you might choke on it! My side salad was nice too, but if they could put a quarter hard boiled egg and some croutons on it, I would have be in side salad heaven! The staff is friendly, but I was disappointed with the wait staff we had. They missed my side sauce order. They never asked if I wanted a refill. Having yet to try a single restaurant on the river, tonight I decided to check out Cluckers in Jeffersonville. The atmosphere is what you would expect to find at any sports bar-type restaurant with only about three TV's in the house and two big-screen TV's behind the bar. This establishment does feature limited patio seating and limited seating in general due to the pandemic. Most of the staff I saw working did wear masks except for one employee that had it on under his chin the entire time I was there. However, I'm not here to just critique them on following COVID-19 guidelines. First I started with an appetizer, smothered tots of which were slightly disappointing due to not quite being smothered. However, they were very delicious and the beer cheese was very thick and satisfying. For the main dish, I decided to check out their Naked wings, which Cluckers calls their bone-in wings. Now, for those that tend to have a great appreciation for wings, I found this to be a bit confusing, since naked wings tend to apply to wings that don't have any sauce or dry rub applied to them. I ordered a ten piece order of Naked wings with some of their house Sweet Thai Chili sauce. The sauce was quite delicious and not too sweet and also not too hot. My only problem was the wings seemed a bit too done and crispy, then again I also prefer my bone-in wings to fall off the bone upon eating, so for those of you like your wings crispy you'll enjoy what Cluckers has to offer. The rest of Cluckers menu also is a bit what you would find at a Buffalo Wild Wings featuring wraps, sandwiches, salads and an assortment of Cluckers featured cocktails. The service I received tonight was fantastic as I did not wait very long to be served however, I was a bit thrown off by their not being a host station and did not see a "seat yourself" sign. . For those looking for a very budget friendly menu that want to eat on the river and enjoy a great view of the Ohio River and Downtown Louisville, I recommend giving Cluckers a try. read more

Cluckers is a nice spot with a great view of the river. While I'm normally opposed to chain restaurants, I was pleased to enjoy good fried chicken tenders and tater tots. The 4 piece was more than enough for me, and 6 could easily feed 2. The service was good, and the prices were decent as well, and the food is about what you'd expect at a fried chicken place. I'm not opposed to returning, but it wouldn't be my top choice if I only had one meal in Jeffersonville. read more

I just had the best nachos I've ever eaten white Queso, diced tomatoes & jalapeño shredded chicken, a little lettuce and bacon on top of crispy yellow tortilla chips. Yum! I also ordered mild boneless wings and loaded fries. Let's be honest you can usually never go wrong with cheese and bacon on fries but I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese. The wings weren't bad but definitely not as good as Roosters or Stooges. The server was great, they only two servers on duty but you'd never know it. My wife and I have been coming to this Cluckers location regularly for about 5 to 7 years. We've always really enjoyed the easy-going atmosphere and we absolutely loved their wings. In fact, we used to use the Cluckers wings as the "standard" when comparing wings from other places. We haven't been to Cluckers for almost 2 years due to Covid. Yesterday, we decided to return to Cluckers and re-introduce ourselves to those yummy wings!! Where the heck did they go? First off, please accept this PSA for all servers in the universe: If you can't 100 percent remember the order EXACTLY as your customers order it, WRITE IT DOWN! You're not impressing anybody when you don't write down the order if you can't remember the order!!! Just stop! My wife ordered ten bone-in wings that were all "drummies" tossed in bar-b-que sauce. There's a slight upcharge for all "drummies", but no biggie. Our server suggested that I consider having my wings prepared "Tony's style" which is when the wings are finished-off on the grill. In all the years we've been coming, I never tried this - so why not give 'em a try? I ordered 15 bone-in wings "hen hot" prepared "Tony's style". Did I mention that our server didn't write-down our order? When my wings were delivered to our table, our server apologized for not having my wife's food, explaining it would be out soon. Since we've been married nearly 32 years, I saw no reason to be polite and wait for my wife's food to arrive so I dug-in to my wings. Let me just say - "Tony's style" sucks! My wings were so dry, I could barely choke-them-down! I should've sent them back but I didn't. I thought they might get better as I worked through the basket. They didn't. I strongly advise against "Tony's style" wings and won't order wings prepared that way again. WTH, Tony???? My wife's wings finally arrived. Immediately my wife remarked, "I ordered all drummies". The server replied that she was sorry that she forgot when she put the order into the computer. To her credit, the server offered to remake the order, but at that point my wife just wanted to eat, lol! By the way, did I mention that out server didn't write-down our order? Our experience kinda went downhill from there because our server started tending bar. Her attention was 95 percent at the bar and 5 percent at our table. I started going up to the bar and asking her for stuff - she never "caught-on". I even bussed our table to clear all the baskets of wing bones and napkins by setting them on the bar. I'm definitely with the crowd on this restaurant. It's a cool spot and they have the best patio view in Jeffersonville. This place isn't sure what it wants to be. It has an extensive menu with just about anything you can think of. I was graced with Joe T's presence for my first visit. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the inside. It didn't seem bad or anything. It's not a place I'd enjoy hanging out in. On to the patio! I was surprised that there were seats available. I'm guessing the hot weather had something to do with that. I also echo what Mike A said. Jeffersonville didn't ruin their waterfront with an expressway.. oh the possibilities if 8664 would've come to fruition. There was an oddball guy on the patio that was eventually chased off by the restaurant. He wasn't bothering anyone, but he was having an in-depth discussion about his job, his paycheck, why his imaginary friend was sitting so far away, and so on. I'm not sure if he was drunk or just enjoying life in his own little way. Either way, it made someone uncomfortable because they went in to tell the restaurant. I went with fried pickles for an appetizer. I can't pass up fried pickles... ever! I'm name dropping all over this review. Kristie T mentioned cold queso. While I didn't have cold queso, the fried pickles weren't piping hot like every other place where you order these. Fine. I can deal with a few cold pickles. The extra points go to how many they give you. The order of fried pickles seemed much larger here than other places. Joe order fried asparagus(I tried one). While I don't think asparagus should ever be fried, it was still delicious. For the entree, I went with a loaded quesadilla. I wasn't the hungriest but the ingredient combo made my appetite shoot through the roof(or to the sky in this case since we were on the patio)! This quesadilla has chicken, bacon, cheese, jalapenos, red onions... with salsa/sour cream on the side. It was really good. I was only able to finish 2 of the 4 wedges because it satisfied me much sooner than I thought it would. The next time I go, I'll have a larger appetite. This is a place where your results will vary. They have such a large menu that I know not everything can be the greatest. I can assure you that the Loaded Quesadilla is one menu item that should stay. The Jeffersonville River Stage is also in front of this place. If you're lucky when you visit, you might be able to hear music, movie, or any other event that they put on. Located in downtown Jeffersonville next to the Ohio River in a free standing building you will find Cluckers! Traditional wing and beer establishment. We found our seats in a somewhat small but busy dining room. Not sure of the concept, is it a sports bar or a regular watering hole for locals, regardless it was good. The seating is limited and they do have outside seating but it is limited. So if you get there and it's really busy I'd suggest ordering something to go. Our server/bartender was on spot! Quick greet and fast return with our drinks. She asked if we had any questions about the menu we said no and ordered immediately! I had the home made chicken salad and it was OUTSTANDING! I'm a picky eater and I left that plate empty. My dinner guest had fish and chips and from the looks of his plate it was good too! Table prebussed and check delivered in a timely manner. My last review for Cluckers wasn't great, but things do change. I kept going back because the manager wrote me after my last review and they really have improved. They also have great specials. Mondays are our favorite with $.60 wings, $5.00 domestic pitchers and $10 craft pitchers. I prefer bone in wings normally, but I get the boneless wings here and get a side salad to put them in. The last two Mondays I was there and it was packed inside and out, but they're good at keeping up with the demand. The view outside is spectacular. read more

More wings? Yes, Please! Cluckers must be the direct competitor of Rooster's. They both have wings, wings, and some other bar food (mainly chicken) items. Clucker's wings are also very decent sized and very fresh. The wings' freshness really makes a difference for anyone who likes their wings like me: naked with just a sprinkle of seasoning. This way you truly taste the chicken without a mask of breading and sauces. I LOVE Clucker's wings! These were crispy, fresh and not greasy. Hubby LOVES their Mini Chicklets. These are "mini" sandwiches with a large chunk of fried white meat chicken in the middle. Hubby had to try hard to finish all four of them. The fifth star is for the friendly and efficient service we received. Oh, yes, the location doesn't hurt, either. it is directly across the street from the Jeffersonville RiverStage and the Big Four Bridge are just a couple of blocks away. read more

So, this was to be my first try at going out to eat since the pandemic started. I wasnt sure what to expect so I picked this place for a reason. However, they were open and I attempted to grab a table outside since I was on the fence about eating indoors. Well, I wasn't fast enough and a couple took the last table so I went in, but sat as far away from everyone as possible. My server was fine, and fast. I got an order of fried pickles (nicely done), an order of pretzels and beer cheese (to take to my sister, but I did get to try them and the pretzel was great, the beer cheese a bit weak and runny for me, she liked them though). My entree was the chicken sliders with onion rings. Now, when I was looking at the menu, I saw there was a list of sauces available. But when I placed my order my server never asked, so I assumed a certain sauce came with them. But she came back a few minutes later and said "oh what sauce did you want?" Since I didnt have the menu any longer I said "what are my options?" and she answered "Oh anything". Feeling a bit on the spot I just blurted out "Uh, hot sauce?", Which is what I got and it was fine but seeing the options now I'm a little sad - I could have had Spicy Thai? Hot and Sassy Garlic? Honey BBQ? Damn, oh well. Aside from that the chicken was cooked EXTREMELY well, it was so juicy and flavorful I was pretty pleased about it. What a great location in Jeffersonville on Riverside Drive facing the banks of Ohio River and The River Stage Amphitheater. Just blocks from the Big Four walking bridge. The view is amazing! Last Friday evening after a concert at River Stage we dropped in for a drink and app we chose the patio. Service was friendly and quick and drinks arrived as ordered. Onto our apps ordering chicken fingers with teriyaki sauce, another order of mild buffalo chicken fingers with a side Tots for two. All is good until the food came out This chicken was tuff and over cooked, the tots were cold and the blue cheese dressing was bitter, runny, so overbearing I lost my appetite.The teriyaki chicken bites tasted okay but because of to much teriyaki sauce they quickly turned soggy. I did ask the server if for another order of fresh tots for my friend. Our server came back to say the kitchen had closed and our order was the last for the night. The server was kind but couldn't fulfill our request and I couldn't blame her for the food quality. A little underwhelming, I was definitely expecting better. I always saw it as a cool place you could grab a drink and some bar food on a weekend night, or just to hang out with some friends. Don't get me wrong, it sits right by the river and has a gorgeous view, but my experience was a little crappy. My friends and I came here after one of my shows to grab some drinks and appetizers. I started out with a strawberry daquiri, and wasn't informed that the blender was broken until after I received my drink...Instead, they gave me a glass of huge chunky ice with a little bit of strawberry syrup. It was like an extreme sport to try and get anything through my straw. I ordered the chips and queso, which was okay, except the cheese tasted like I was eating actual lard. After giving up on my daquiri I went ahead and ordered another drink. My server put in my order at the bar and started mopping the floor while my drink sat there for 15 minutes. I decided to go up to the bar myself to get it and the bartender said "Didn't you just order that from your server?" to which I responded saying yes, and how I thought she forgot. While my server is still mopping the floors as my drink sits there, the bartender responds back with "Oh no, she didn't forget." So, out of all the time it took to get my drink, it is now 11:50 (they close at 12) and the servers are staring us down waiting for us to leave. I'm sitting there trying to chug my drink as fast as possible. I did feel a little bad because our server was nice, I just wasn't sure what the deal was with everything. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. A friend suggested it since none of us have been to Cluckers and the view of the river is breathtaking. It is a nice hangout if there is a group of people (there were six in our party). So here are the positives for Cluckers. The prices are reasonable. I got a 16 ounce beer and mac and cheese bites which came out to only 9 dollars and some change. If you're on a budget, this is your place to be. The menu is big so there is something for everyone to try. So here are the negatives, we felt rushed and they were not up to par with the drinks. I guess we arrived an hour before closing because they turned the music off and everyone kept staring at us when we still had about 20 minutes; we were almost done anyway. I felt bad for my friends because their experience with their drinks were bad. The blender was not working right so their blended drink was chunks of ice and syrup. The server was kind of hit and miss also. We had to ask 2 or 3 times for boxes and my friend actually had to go to the bar to pick up her drink instead of the server bringing it to her. Cluckers used to be one of my favorites... I always had to beg my husband to go because he was never a huge fan. Sadly, as more and more of them have opened the service has gone down significantly. I know it's said that "good help is hard to find..." but even the worst help should know to keep drinks full, etc. The last time we were there we actually were served the wrong food. Since we were only a couple other tables sat at the moment, I still don't know whose food we got! It took another 10-15 mins to get the right food & it was barely edible. Cluckers offers good chicken and good views. It took me a few times to find what I really like here but my personal favorite is the chicken tenders. You can get sauce on the side or have them tossed in your preferred sauce. To me this is a better bang for your buck and the quality better than most wings, IMO. 4 tenders and a side for under $10 really can't beat it. I find the sauces really good. Service is quick and friendly. It's nothing crazy but I do find the chicken always tastes good and is moist, it can be hard to find good chicken tenders these days without a bunch of breading or dry- so if that's your jam I definitely recommend trying these out. I have never written a negative review, but I feel I must warn folks. First with the positive. On my couple of visits, the food and service has been great! Their staff works extremely hard and their menu has great sports bar food. Unfortunately, if you go on the weekend, be prepared for a very loud and rowdy atmosphere. We came in at 6:30 and immediately noticed those we sat near were very loud and intoxicated. As our dinner went on, this group of people got larger, louder, more intoxicated (taking shots), and crowding the walkways. One guy even stumbled into our table. I was hoping management would encourage the individuals to clear the walkway and consider the other patrons around since it was during normal dinner hours and the restaurant is majority dining area, but that was not the case. If it was after 8pm, this behavior would be totally acceptable, but at 6:30 during normal dinner hours, it was a bit much. In summary, beware if you're a family or small party not looking for people to be yelling throughout your meal. read more

Lettuce was pretty much white and brown in places. $5.00 kids meals- my sons chicken rings were so hard he couldn't even chew them. No chicken in them, just hard breading. Most other places had a long wait (with one restaurant even having a line that literally stretched out the door), but when we reached Cluckers, we were just in time to snag a table on the deck. It was a warm evening, so it was very nice to be able to enjoy the pleasant weather outdoors. Service was prompt and friendly. Our server was well-acquainted with the menu and able to make suggestions on which of the famous Cluckers sauces would best complement what we were thinking of ordering. I got the Grilled Chicken Club Wrap with Thai Chili sauce and it was delicious! The flavored of the sauce, pickles, and bacon worked well together, and the house-made Ranch dressing on the side was perfect for dipping each bite into. Stopped by Cluckers to grab a drink and kill some time before a Yelp Elite event. This location sits on Riverside Drive, a street that looks out over the 2nd Street bridge, making their patio seating a prime spot during nice weather. Inside is a basic, divey bar - long wooden tables, high-top & low-top and chairs at the bar, TVs, happy hours specials and beer on tap. My friend was excited to find Killians on draft, saying he's been struggling to find it at our regular spots. We also munched on a basket of their chips - nothing special but good with a cold beer. The staff was very friendly and took care of us quickly, even checking back in to make sure we hadn't changed our minds about staying longer. If you're in the mood for wings, chicken tenders, burgers or other bar food and beer, Cluckers makes a nice pit stop by the river. read more
