I'm actually writing this in tears because that's how awesome Brandon and Matt was to me. Nissan at Shottenkirk lied and told the Max Care rep that I wasn't staying on top of my oil changes & I had sludge in my engine because of that. That was an absolute LIE and it cause Max Care to give me a hard time. I had my car picked up and I just searched online for a better mechanic. First of all, Brandon was so understanding and honest from the very start. He told me I'd had to pay the $150 if the claim didn't go through and guess what it didn't?! I decided to settle with my finance company and they told me everything I needed from the mechanic. I called Brandon and told him what I needed on the paperwork and he updated and made sure it was correct. I only spoke to Matt once but he was concerned about my family in SC/NC due to Hurricane Helene. Listen, I want Matt and Brandon parents to read this because you've raised some wonderful men. They didn't know me from a can of paint but worked with me all the way through. I will forever do business with this shop and thank GOD in 2024 we still have genuine business people & genuinely nice people. Move on. I took my car in as there was a noise. Solution, replace everything in the area of where the noise is coming from. The estimate to repair was just under $2,000 which is about what the car is worth. I thought about having them repair it anyway but when the sales guy at the front desk mentioned they figured out the issue by watching a You Tube video, I respectfully declined their services and paid them their shop fee of $225. Which, telling me to replace everything in the area Consequentially, they fee is really a fine imposed against me for choosing a bad mechanic. A second opinion revealed a bad water pump, cost of $350. Don't be mistaken, they are nice people but at the end of the day they are just sales people. read more

First time and last time to take my truck. They did a diagnostic and said it was my fuel pump and wanted to charge me close to $1,000. I told them to let me think about it and they charged me $248.00 for the diagnostic. Went to another garage and they charged $200.00 to change the fuel pump. When they changed the fuel pump, truck would crank and would not start. The same problem before, mechanic told me that maybe the fuel pump that I purchased was defective. So, I return fuel pump, and mechanic buys a fuel pump and installs. Still the same issue. Took vehicle back to Clutch Automotive and told them the problem. They come back and said they would have to drop the tank and see about the wiring, and it would be $500.00 plus. Kevin the manager charges me again a diagnostic for $148.00 snd still have the same problem. Now other mechanic said it might be the fuse box. Change fuse box and now truck runs fine. Looking in You Tube all dodges have this problem. I know they would have said the Fuse Box needs to be changed and the fuel pump also need to be replaced. Bottom line the Fuel Pump never needed replace. Prayed for 2 Dianostic for nothing and changed the fuel pump twice and payed for towing. This place will rip you off. Be cafeful they will take advantage of you. read more

Seems to me every one complains about rude people there and I hesitated but when I went for service I got the same vibe . I don't feel like they were rude on purpose more like it was in their nature being rude with out realizing it. They're polite on the phone but soon as they hang up they start talking bad about the customers in front of other customers. Shame . I definitely don't recommend this places just cause of that . Customers service goes along way . Real customer service not the fake persona service . I had to get my engine replaced due to a broken timing belt. I was kept up to date regularly and when I went to pick it up they had it washed and waxed free of charge! Who does that? This place is amazing! They are so professional, personable, and kind. I have been bringing my car here for years and the service is always on point. To avoid an accident I hit a curb pretty bad, steering wheel was off centered to drive straight, this was the closest place so out to worry I pulled in to check it out. Was told I had a bent strut that would be $700+ to fix. Was then charged $90 just for them to see the apparent problem my strut had. Instead I took it to my actual dealership to get another inquiry and they said all I needed was an alignment and that no damage was done to the struts, they fixed the problem and my car is now prefect again and only for a little over $100. Seemed pretty obvious that this place was trying to screw me of nearly a thousand bucks. I would think twice about coming here. read more

I guess it is just a fact of life that your vehicle is gonna have a problem, sooner or later. Fortunately, I was pretty close to the house when my shifter broke and couldn't remove the key from the ignition. I'm new to Katy, so I did a quick look on Yelp for recommendations. I know the reviews can be really out of whack for something like a mechanic, so I was wary while looking. One shop really stood out, though. Mission was over and above most of the shops in the area. It is super close to my house so I thought I'd give them a try. It was late Friday afternoon, so I was really pushing being able to get anything accomplished. Mission is near the intersection of N. Fry and Clay. The shop has a nice storefront and is super clean looking from the outside. The inside is the same with a nice counter and waiting room with tv and looked to have coffee. Kevin assisted me. He listened to my what I had to say about the issue. After a short wait while they diagnosed the problem, we had an agreeable game plan. Had to wait on part from Ford, so my repair was done on Monday. Dropped my truck that morning, got a ride home and it was ready that afternoon. They picked me up and had everything ready to go when I got there. Kevin thoroughly explained the repair and they cleaned the interior. Professional, knowledgeable, clean shop, great location for me and nice folks. Peace of mind is worth a lot with a mechanic. I believe these folks are in it for long term relationships, not just to hit their numbers. I think I have found my new auto shop. read more

Until now this has been my go to auto shop for all of my needs. Although they are a bit on the pricey side at times recently they have really turned me off. Brought my truck to them a couple of times over the past couple months to fix a coolant leak which another mechanic after they worked on it found another leak that they didn't find but i paid for. Second trip to these guys to fix my AC unit (which required a full dismantle of my dash and electrical system in that area) resulted in additional $430.00 of repairs to my Drone Mobile security system on my truck. Now anyone can see with ease the cameras, and alarm system that is installed in this truck and no mechanics prior to this has ever left my truck in this condition. Cameras not working and complete failure of my security system. I would assume I am like most people when you bring your vehicle in for service and pick it back up you are focused on making sure the issue was fixed and not looking for other things. Well not only was my Drone Mobile security system (main component/Brain fried but the fuses to my front and rear dash cams was toast also). Once I discovered these items where not working I brought it to the Company that installed them and they advised that someone working on my truck sent a power surge to these components and fried them. Well these guys at Mission Auto Care are the only ones that had worked on my truck prior to the discovery that these items where not working anymore. When I bring them the report of findings and the bill, with-out hesitation refused to deal with it and said sorry not our problem. At the end of the day I have spent a fair amount of money with these guys over the years and did not mind it at all because they had done good work in the past. I will definitely make sure that none of my vehicles ever go to them again nor anyone I know for that matter for not owning up to the mishap and making it right. I would never take my cars anywhere else. Took my sons jeep in for what I figured was a faulty fuel pump. They originally quoted me $1400 for new pump, relay and fuel system flush. Called me later in the day to tell me that the problem was actually a blown fuse on the fuel system relay circuit and that the total repair cost was only $364 and it didn't need a new pump. They could have easily replaced the pump and still charged me the $1400. That's why I trust Mission. I have taken my cars here for years and will continue to utilize them for all my maintenance needs. read more

my friend took my car in for a oil and filter change. They up charged her by also changing my wiper blades which was just replaced in December) and they replaced my serpentine hose that goes over your fan belt and everything, which I had just replaced brand new in December as well) I called and asked them why they did that and they said it look like it needed to be done. And I asked aren't your mechanics experienced enough to know when something is not worn or needs to be replaced? They didn't like that question. to top it off my AC wasn't working when I picked up my car and it was working just fine when I drop the car off! What is going on with these people! That bill was outrageous by the time we paid it, because they replace things that didn't need to be replaced. Now I have no AC and it's hot as shit! and instead of apologizing and admitting their mistake, they said bring your car in and will do an AC check that cost $85 and figure out what's wrong with it. Would anyone trust these people after an experience like this? I never received an apology, I never got a response like bring your car back in and will fix your AC for half a discount of repairs or anything. Money grubbing mechanics! read more

The problem wasn't fixed, my wife was left stranded - shop didn't even acknowledge that it was there for the same reason - second time there they charged over $300 labor for a 30min fix and $200 for a $100 part. I know they have to make money but I was hoping for a break since I was back for the exact same reason - and I still don't know if it's fixed. Mission car care is the place to go for all your car needs! The facility has a nice waiting area that is clean and well organized. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I needed an oil change a little after the lunch hour and my dealership told me there would be a 2 hour wait. I came to Mission and they had my mini van done within 30 mins with everything else checked out for a very reasonable rate. It reassures me that my car is safe and reliable with the affordable maintenance I get from the Mission car team! I just came back from taking two of our cars to get oil changes there and had been there before, so I can say with some certainty that this is very fine business with great prices and a super friendly staff. Beyond the good service and fair pricing, they have a very nice waiting area and complimentary coffee too. I usually try to patronize local or family run businesses and this one deserves it more than most. I had tire I was sure had a nail or screw in it, and instead of trying to sell me a new one, they simply patched it up good as new for $15 on top of the 2 oil changes. Just needed to get my inspection done, took about 15-20 minutes. This place was great, they had me do my registration while I was there too...bc I was originally told by Harris county I would have to go to the courthouse to do the registration, bc it came in in the previous owners name. So, they looked it up and were able to do it there. This saved me hours...literally!!! I will definitely use this place for any car issues that may come up in the future. Horrible. I've been using Mission because it is close to my house. Each time I take it in for service, they say they have found an expensive problem that needs to be fixed. This time they charged $180 for a service and called us that they had found an emissions problem, that we declined to authorize them to fix (mostly because we didn't believe them). So they called back and said the power steering had completely failed and they didn't know how to fix it. The power steering was working fine when we drove it in. Now we have a car that is undrivable. We will never use them again. read more

I have been taking my vehicle to this facility for the past 2 years now and have been satisfied with the service however, today was not one of those days. They have lost a loyal customer due to pure laziness! I took a different vehicle there for an inspection and although I have always gone to the dealer, I decided to go here because it was nearby and since I had such good service before I thought it would be a good idea, NOT! The only things that I needed to pass inspection was wiper blades and to fill my tires with air. Neither service was offered by this shop and I was handed the keys and insurance and sent on my way with the technician stating, get those things taken care of before we do the inspection. I was dismayed, surprised and annoyed to say the least. Naturally, I took my vehicle to the dealership who plugged my tire, filled it with air, changed out the wiper blades and inspected it which passed with flying colors.
