Awesome team and super helpful - had a blast with Brian, Toni and Liz! Very thorough and they take the time to really understand your strengths and shortcomings and work with you on them while on the go! Love that eRider portion is online and done on your own time and that they offer Tues-Wed courses during the day which made it great. There's closer MSF courses to me but I'm glad I went with Clutch - worth the drive for the great instruction and setup.

Carl one of the classroom training instructors was very knowledgeable, funny and kept us on our toes throughout training class. Onsite EMTC course training instructor Kevin knew his stuff, communicated effectively, gave positive reinforcement and feedback when making mistakes. Liz was a beast on the bike, giving flawless demos before each exercise and her knowledge and ability to use hand gestures coaching throughout training was key. Amanda was very helpful as well, responding to emails and calls quickly and was very friendly and able to reschedule classes when couldn't attended. The team at Clutch gave me the confidence needed to feel safe and confidently ride on the road. Couldn't say enough about the whole team would recommend attending was worth every penny.

This was my first time taking a riders course, and they included all the fundamentals necessary to start riding safety on the street. They include an online classroom to review and test your knowledge on every aspect of riding a motorcycle in every type of environment. The riding portion of the classroom at the Long Beach Water Department was a great course led by trained professionals who are excellent at explaining and helping us practice the funtimentals of the controls and handling of a motorcycle. They gave us plenty of time to learning adjustment to different scenarios of riding a motorcycle with clear communication and feedback. They were kind enough and patient with our learning curve and helping us practice riding a motorcycle until we were confident riding. I would highly recommend booking this course whether you are new to riding a motorcycle or seasoned rider. Great remarks for the instructors for making the exerpeirnce fun, informative, and safe!

So I went in with absolutely no riding experience, in fact I didn't even know how to turn on a bike. Thanks to Tessy and Toni our instructors who made this so easy to understand. I took the 2 day beginners course and passed it on sunday. Took my permit test at the DMV Monday, passed it and then purchased my first bike on Tuesday. Thank you clutch for teaching me what I've learned and to the instructors for being so patient with all of us! We appreciate you! I'll def be back for more advanced courses!

I am a new rider and have purchased my first motorcycle about a month ago. I wanted to better my skills so I booked the 2 day beginner class/course. The first day we were instructed both in the classroom and on the training course by Carl who was extremely informative and also had great energy! While on the course for day 1 Carl took the time to guide our class through the basics without making me feel intimidated or inexperienced. During day 2 on the course I was instructed by Jennifer who was extremely refreshing to work with! She has the best energy and made me feel like I've known her my whole life! She was extremely helpful in making me understand the principles of counter steering. I would recommend this class to anyone looking to understand the basic fundamentals of motorcycle operation. You cannot put a price on the skills and confidence you will gain after successfully completing this course. 10/10 read more

I took the intermediate riding course (IRC) to refresh some of my foundations after being off my bike for a couple of years and I am very glad I took this course. Despite it starting at 8am on Friday I had fun with all the practice of our foundational skills. A very professional organization. I was impressed all the way through. The quality of the theory classes either with zoom or in person was outstanding. The instructor managed to keep us attentive to the end. Both instructors at the range were very professional and made sure that we all achieve what we were supposed to do to ride safely. I am not a spring chicken and English is not my native language. The instructors always made sure that I understood what I was expected to do . None of them lost patience when we were not performing well. On the contrary they took us aside, explaining what we should do to improve our performance. I have enjoyed the time passed at the range even if it was exhausting for someone my age ( 75) . I needed to learn how to ride a scooter, as it will be my mean to run errands or discover while traveling with my RV. after a little bit of safe practice I will take the intermediate course they offer in order to ride even more safely. Clutch Motorcycle Training Inc. is a CMSP training school, providing the Motorcycle Training Course. Our riding range is located at E. 32nd Street and St. Louis Avenue in Long Beach. Please see the map (provided in your confirmation email as well on our webpage) for details on how to enter the lot. We offer hybrid classroom sessions; some are via Zoom and some are in-person at Long Beach BMW Motorcycles. Please check our website for further information about classes and class availability. Meet the Business Owner: Amanda H.

My uncle taught me how to ride when I was 16 and I was bitten by the motorcycle bug. From that moment on I took every class and track day I could find in New England. I became an MSF Instructor in 2001 and two years later rode my motorcycle from Boston to Los Angeles to teach in sunny California. I love to help new riders navigate the many different facets of riding a motorcycle and help achieve their goals to be a lifelong learner and rider. Please reach out to me anytime, as I'm happy to be a resource for all things motorcycle safety related.

Yes, that’s correct! All licensing happens at the DMV. You’ll receive a DL389 in the mail if you successfully pass the course and this is the document you’ll bring to the DMV to waive the on-bike test.

They offered me a lesson at the price of $100 instead of the usual $160.

I didn't buy my son a new car, so I needed to make sure that he was comfortable in the car he was driving and that it was in working order and qualified as a vehicle that could be used for his test. PRICING. Beach is affordable, and I paid half upfront and half upon completion. I looked around and that appears to be customary at smaller driving schools. My niece used AAA and paid twice as much for the same outcome. If the end result is the same, why not go with the economical choice? Now my youngest son is ready for driving lessons, and I'm here searching for the number for Beach Driving School. Here we go again! They take care of everything. The hardest part was finding my "case #" (which is not the number on the yellow slip). For that I had to go to the Santa Cruz Superior Court website and search around. Also, you will need your "traffic school due date." That is really a guess. On the date you "officially request traffic school" (that part should be on the traffic court website) add (around?) 90 days. Well, that's what I did. Anyway, great company. And they have a phone number if you get stuck. I didn't need to call it. And for the police: Yes, I feel educated and am now a safer driver.

With that in mind, I wanna say I am deeply grateful for this school. They have great systems in place with low ratio and really teach the little ones a lot while they're there. I can solidly say that at two years old my daughter can count from one to 20 and sing the whole alphabet along with about 15 different nursery, rhymes and stack blocks and has very advanced fine motor and motor skills because of the school. I'm a licensed OT and always felt safe with and confident in staff. Mrs. Nali, Mrs Dhammika, and Mrs Nayana are well educated in this age group, patient, and loving. All of the staff are truly wonderful. We went from infant, to wobbler, to toddler and transitioned very well. I don't know the frequency but every time my child which class they gave me a comprehensive developmental checklist to tell me what my child was doing or wasn't doing that was on track for proper development or not and that is huge. When you're a busy parent and don't always notice some of the things that Are typical or atypical to have some professional eyes to help you understand where your child is developmentally is huge. They are CPR trained and do a great job with making sure they're fed and changed consistently. My baby never came home hungry or never was crying when I picked her up and never got diaper rash there. If you choose to be part of the little app, you will get photos of your child. Once every couple weeks in the classroom is playing with the other children. They also send little videos and they do little Halloween parades and classroom parties. The Christmas parade is precious too! The focus of MONTESSORI is self-sufficiency which as an occupational therapist I really love. She would come home and if she spilled something, she would run right away to try to clean it up. She very much wanted to learn how to do things on her own and she knew how to threw away her own trash, which was not something I taught her at home necessarily lol It truly is adorable and prepares your baby for a successful road ahead with school and life beyond. My only thing I would change is having carpet or soft floor in the infant room vs hard floors. Other than that, everything really is done perfectly, and they have a lovely little outdoor space that they take them to a few times a day where they can ride bikes and do the slide and all of that. Learning how to operate in a group and look at what the rest of the group is doing and follow along is a critical life skill, and my baby has transitioned to preschool seamlessly because of her experience at this other school. In fact, one of her current teachers used to work at Wee care as well and has positive things to say.

My son has seen his friends get grabbed, physically removed for messing around, get hit (the teachers would defend the people hurting them), and racism. I've also spoken to some of the moms that have left recent reviews to get their feedback, and they told me their reviews were taken down by the school. When me and my husband looked at these reviews we have also noticed that a lot of the stuff stated in the reviews are still happening. When my son and his class went to the park, he saw the teacher yell a derogatory Asian slur at his old classmate, then when my son came home telling me the news, me and my husband were furious that a teacher at the school has taught my son discriminatory language. We were angry that we were paying over $1,000 in tuition per month for my son to learn hate before fractions. I'm about to list more situations in this review: 1. My son is more quiet and doesn't get in trouble at all, but he has watched his friends get grabbed, cussed at for telling the teacher to not touch them, the teacher started a dynamic which disrespects kids, and they're rude to their parents. 2. The teacher would talk about her husbands g-string, and would talk about sexual things that I don't want my son to hear. 3. The teacher would also take away my son's lunch if he had to re-do the work, and there was this one incident where he didn't listen to the teacher because he was starving and just started eating his lunch, then got kept from going to the park when the class was going, then for the rest of the day he was isolated in a classroom and made to think he was a bad person when really it's the school being cruel. 4. During games class, I find it unsafe for kids to play in an alleyway that has homeless people in it, and I also find it unsafe that they have to move every time a car comes by. 5. When me and my husband were on the fence questioning ourselves about if this is the right place for children, we sent our kid to the school the next morning with a tiny notebook and a pencil and we told our son to take notes of everything that everyone says and happens in those bad situations. When my son came home me and my husband took a look at the notebook, and me and my husband were pissed. From what the notebook said we were upset to learn that the teachers actually violently grabbed a kid that didn't do his work because he was thinking about stuff emotionally at his desk. 6. From everything that we have our son tell us all of these people there sound very unskilled, and should work with kids. Me and my husband admired the Waldorf scene of it being creative, hands on, and supportive but these teachers aren't supportive at all to certain kids who are different then what they like, me and my husband talked to the parents of the kids who have been violently punched or grabbed by teachers, or students. And these parents were very nice people, from this other review, I read all I have to say is you shouldn't learn about the school because it's a cult on my prospective, it's not inclusive if not, everyone is supported at the school then it's not supportive at all, the tuition is over $1000 for your kids to be wearing hate,and to be playing in a alleyway with shattered glass and homeless people. And I fully support all of these kids who have left the school because so many kids have left that they had to merge a few grades together because the parents weren't the same truth I have. and every time me and my husband would have meetings with these teachers. About how they would act with other kids. They would deflect it towards the kid who is actually getting bullied because they are different. the school has also let my son learn about the N-word, sexual jokes, sex, and racist jokes from other kids, This school dose not censor what the children talk about. What I have to say after my experience here is get your kid out before this school is a huge waste of money, and time. For all of the people reading this review get your kids out of there, or if you're learning about the school do not let your kid out there, and maple village if you respond to this review don't try to say none of this happened, because you guys know it did.

- Individualized/tailored coaching from experienced instructors (they really spent time to assess my abilities and coach me accordingly) . - BMW 310 RS provided. Super light and fun bike to perform the courses on. - DMV riding test waived at CA DMV with successful completion of the 1DPC course. - Great balance between classroom learning and physical riding practice. I was never bored or falling asleep in the classroom or on the course. - Enthusiastic and warm instruction. I never "felt stupid" when I screwed up a drill. Jeanne was my coach (when we broke out in groups). She combined professionalism with respect and critique to convey a well balanced message for improvement. I took the 1DPC (1 Day Premier Course) in California, Dec, 2021. This is a great course with a DMV-riding-test-bypass-opportunity. You do need to pass a couple intermediate "on site riding skills tests" before the class begins to attend the 1DPC and you'll still have to pass the DMV written test (before or after this) to get your M1. If you arrive early to the 1DPC, they allow time to practice the "riding skills tests" ahead of time. I personally hate the DMV and was super enthusiastic for this chance. You take your 1DPC paperwork (once you pass) to the DMV, pass the DMV written exam, and they hand you your M1. I had it completed in the same week. My coaches for the day were Jeanne and Jim. At first arrival, the class came off as rigid/structured; not inviting. But, the coaches quickly warm up once class time starts. I realized at some point that the initial rigidness was simply due to their scramble to organize late-comers and the ill-prepared so that class can get started in timely fashion for everyone else. I strongly believe both coaches genuinely spent time developing each rider and tailoring their advice to the rider's experience throughout the class. The coach to student ratio is efficient. I never waited too long (bored) or felt neglected. The class itself was a mix of classroom and riding. They did well to break apart the time (segment in classroom followed by physical riding). I never got bored or restless. They have BMW 310 motorcycles to use for the riding. These are great, light bikes to use for the course. This class is a solid value considering what you get out of it. read more

As a complete and utter novice who knew absolutely NOTHING about motorcycles, I greatly appreciated the opportunity to take a course to learn from experienced instructors as safely as possible. This course DELIVERED. Carl, our zoom instructor, was very knowledgeable, offered lots of advice, and answered my "beginner" questions very helpfully and without judgement. On the range, I found both Kevin and Katie to be very patient instructors who clearly cared about promoting safe practices. For me, Katie was particularly helpful and encouraging. I loved being pulled to the side for more individualized feedback/advice on my performance, especially when I was clearly anxious and struggling with some of the more advanced skills at speeds greater than 10 mph. Although I passed both the written exam and the riding exam, I definitely do NOT feel ready for the road and plan on taking more courses to feel safer and more confident on a motorcycle. I reached out to Amanda, who I met briefly in person during the written exam, and she has been extraordinarily helpful in advising how to move forward. I will probably look to take the intermediate course next and might even supplement with some private lessons. In any case, the beginner course is a SOLID introduction to the world of motorcycling, and I am so grateful to have had the great experience that I had. read more

I cannot recommend this training program enough. I have never ridden a motorcycle before, and by the end of the two days of courses, not only did I pass the course but I have much more confidence in riding. I had the pleasure of learning from 3 instructors, Ashley, Jennifer and Brian -- all of them are very knowledgeable, have great advice and knew when to be serious and when to get your spirits up with a good laugh. They were tough and fair, but talked you through absolutely everything. If you don't understand something that's all on you because you have so much time to ask questions before and after ever exercise. One thing I want to stress to anyone taking a new course, you may pick up on it faster then your fellow students. While it's frustrating to have to consistently slow down, or stop because someone else is still struggling -- take it from This perspective, I learned the most about being attentive and handling the bike more because of that. Before I knew it I was shifting up and down in a heartbeat, braking safer and kept my eyes up because you never know if someone might stall out or something. I just finished my motorcycle course at Clutch Motorcycle Training, and honestly, I can't say enough amazing things about it! From start to finish, it was such an empowering and unforgettable experience. Kevin and Koray were my instructors, and they were absolutely phenomenal. Their patience, knowledge, and encouragement made all the difference. They explained everything so clearly and made me feel safe, supported, and confident every step of the way. Just took the two days beginner course. It was a long two days during this heat way we are having nearly reaching 100 degrees regardless our instructors were out here giving us the best service possible! Jennifer was just a blessing to have out on the riding portion of the course, i have no idea how she kept such a high and positive energy about her when all i wanted to do was sleep. Carl took care of the classroom instruction part of the course and he did such a great job making the material relatable and fun. Brian was also an instructor we had on the first day during the riding portion of the course and with all the knowledge he gave us i feel like i learned how to be a more well rounded rider! Last but not least Hailey wait.. i mean Ally, she was a instructor on the second day of the riding portion of the course and having her out on the field was awesome. This course was the best, there's so much details I don't even know where to start, they gave us directions very easy to understand, demonstrated exercises and repeated them until we got the hang of them, I was in the june 1-2 afternoon group, my instructors Carl and Jennifer were fun, understanding, patient and overall very very skilled in their job, everything was very professional but at the same time enjoyable and fun, it didn't even feel like a course in the sense of boring or anything, I would take it 10 more times again. Toni and Aaron were my instructors for the beginner course. over the two days I rode under their instruction, they helped me identify and correct a lot of mistakes I was making while riding. Thanks to them, i feel a lot more confident and ready to ride out on the rode. I def think CMT needs to get them megaphones because it can be a little hard to hear them in such an open space with over 10 other bikes running with airplanes and sometimes helicopters overhead. Regardless, they were very clear with their instructions and i was able to understand what they were telling me. They did mention the class is accelerated and they properly communicated if at any point we feel we cannot continue due to whatever reason, they would help us find a course more suited to our level of skill. I just finished my two day course training with my father and we were both impressed by the professionalism of the course and the instructors both (Brain and Erin). I would most definitely recommend this course to any beginner or any rider looking to define their skills as a rider. Instructors were really nice and knowledgeable about everything that they taught, they also explained every exercise very diligently and precise that my younger brother who's 12 would have understood how to properly operate a motorcycle. My course had a total of 9 people everyone was so friendly and nice to each other. Never did I feel judged by other riders or instructors for mistakes and they were very helpful on helping me fix my mistake (usually by the second to third time I'd have it down). Overall 10/10 experience I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested about motorcycles. As a 30 year old man with lots of machismo and pomp I was honestly a little timid when it came to getting on the bike. The staff here at clutch motorcycle training definitely helped assail my fears. From the zoom classes which were informative and helpful, to Beth and JJ who were knowledgeable and patient in teaching all of us how to ride safely,to Amanda who handled all the email correspondence back and forth making sure that I had the correct links dates times and was prompt in responding to every one of my questions. Walking out of here today with my certificate of completion. All that's needed now is for me to go to the DMV and complete the written test. but honestly having gone through this course I feel much safer about getting on a bike and much more comfortable knowing that I was trained the right way. read more

If you live out in SoCal and in search of a location for beginner motorcycle training, then this spot is honestly everything you need. Yes, it may not be the perfect place to accommodate for everyone but what makes this place genuinely great is the people that are willing to instruct you on how to properly identify, maneuver around, and simply ride your first motorcycle. The courses are straight forward, but may take some time to getting used to if you're just starting out. JJ, Ashley and Kevin are all wonderful instructors that will make you feel as if it's nearly impossible for you NOT to pass and understand the course. They are clear and concise, friendly but firm enough to tell you what you did wrong and what you need to work on, and lastly are humble people that are out there looking to spread the foundational and fundamentals of riding to people of all experiences. So let me begin, I've never ridden a street motorcycle before, I signed up for this class because it is a beginners course. Knowing absolutely nothing about how to operate a motorcycle the women at this course walk you through each step. At the end of the course I was able to ride a motorcycle and know what to do in certain situations. These machines are deadly so it's best to know everything you can about them before you jump on the road. The first day you learn the basics of riding, the second day you refine those skills and at the end they give you the DMV test. This is what those 10 hours of riding get you ready for. They helped me be more confident on the road and how to safely get through traffic. I'd recommend this course if you want to learn how to ride & skip the actual DMV skills test (you take it here). read more

I had such an amazing time at Clutch Motorcycle Training! The classes are extremely individualistic, where the instructors give you immediate feedback after giving you a task and you basically do it until you get it right. The course states that it's not a beginners course, but rather intermediate, but with instructors like Jim and Genie, you could be mentally challenged and still excel! Seriously, they're amazing! It was also really cool to just meet a bunch of people that love to ride, or are passionate about learning how to ride. My only recommendation would be to take the class when it's not too hot, because I literally died from the heat. They might hose you down after if you ask nicely! I recently took the Basic Course and I highly recommend Clutch Motorcycle Training for everyone who is considering getting their M1 license...Their staff is amazing! Amanda, is very friendly, caring and accommodating. She's also extremely responsive to emails/calls. Carl, my zoom instructor kept the course material interesting, adding his personal experiences... helping us understand and preparing us for the range. Lastly, my range instructors; Max, Kevin, and Katy were all great!! They all took the time to clearly explain what's expected and offered great feedback. I really liked how Katy took me aside to give me extra pointers, helping me execute my turns and making my ride more enjoyable. Definitely recommend this spot and will be returning in the future to take the intermediate course. read more

I am so glad that I took this training course!! Even though I am self taught, it was a great experience and I learned a lot of details that will save me from the unexpected accidents that could happen while riding on 2 wheels. It was Fun-de-Mental. The first night zoom meeting with Amanda was very informative and straight to the point. All of the ladies Katie, Jeanne, Marna and JJ are awesome instructors as well... They followed all the strict guidelines and made it fun. Smoooooothly!! ... I laugh every time I think of Katie saying that. I can't thank them enough for their time and patience. I am grateful. Training with Ashley and JJ and Carl was an absolute JOY!! They supported me every step of the way with helpful feedback and guidance and I feel so much more confident in moving forward in my motorcycling journey. The competence and attitude of the instructors with this program is unmatched and I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning to ride. Whenever I had questions about my technique and performance, Ashley and JJ offered clear, easily applicable guidance that helped me improve immediately and their positive encouraging attitudes helped me feel more comfortable in the learning process. I recently took a lesson with Jennifer and another trainer (sorry, I forgot his name!) and it was an incredible experience! Both instructors were top-notch - patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood before moving on. I traveled 2 hours from the valley for this lesson, and it was totally worth it! I had zero experience when I arrived, but I left feeling confident and equipped with new skills. The fact that they offer bike and helmet is a huge bonus (just remember to bring your own gloves and boots, or borrow theirs if needed). I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to learn and improve their skills. Five stars and can't wait to come back. read more

My training with clutch motorcycle was a very good learning experience from the zoom class to the range. From the amazing owner Ms. Amanda who was really eager for me to learn new skills and safety and gave me all the chances I need. Plus all their great instructors Jeanie, I forgot the name of the guy I think its Mario, and Awesome-Katie ( hope I spelled the name right) who are all very patient and knowledgeable. Thank You so much. I Really appreciate all your hard work.
