[6/26/2019 Pick up + 8/16/2019 Storage and Move in] ------------------------------------ [6/26/2019 Pick up] Clutter is a company that sells its moving/storage services in the most millennial way possible. I was having a headache on finding a moving company in the Philadelphia area when I realized that I have a gap between the end of my studio lease and the date of return after the vacation. The first company that I looked into was obviously UHaul; I had gotten tremendous use of its service when I moved from a different city. However, its service not only had multiple steps (you know, buying packing materials/packing/getting my truck/getting loading and unloading help/getting a storage area) but also ended up being quite pricey. After many days of searching for better options, I found Clutter as an option. To be honest, the description sounded too good to be true. All the steps that I listed in the parenthesis were to be done by the company. What if it is a scam?! However, after reading the scarce but still comforting reviews on Philadelphia Clutter on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. The phone call with Tony, my sales specialist, was a pleasant experience. It felt like a breathe of air in the midst all the text and email advertisements that I have been getting after an unthoughtful click on one website that alerts multiple moving services in the area. After booking an arrangement, I saw Clutter trucks on two different occasions in Center City; I was then reassured that I was not walking into some traps despite the amazing quote that I got. My team, Isiah, Marquis, and Nicholas, was punctual and polite. Clutter's service began by giving me a text alert 1 hour before arrival and showing real-time location of the team. They arrived in a big teal truck with the team wearing equally teal T-shirts. They brought packing materials that I have pre-arranged with them, but also extra (Clutter charged for monthly storage only, so all of these additional stuff was included). I wasn't sure how ready I should have been, so I pre-packed all the clothes but left kitchen stuff and the book shelf untouched. It was amusing to see the way they worked. The team kept track of all the items via photo and barcode. It was a very high tech moving experience. I highly recommend Clutter to those looking for a great moving experience. The price is very competitive and they provided everything that I needed. I cannot yet write about the storage experience, but if it goes as smoothly as it did today, I will definitely use the service again. ------------------------------------ [8/16/2019 Storage and Moving in] I got my boxes back from Clutter! My team, Tyreek and Keith, made moving a painless experience. I got all my boxes and everything that was barcoded was returned. I truly think that I could not have gotten a better help. My new place did not have an elevator and I cannot thank my movers more for taking a good care of all my stuffs. I would say that there are two minor things to be careful though. (1) During the pickup, I was told that one item (a red giant umbrella) could probably be stored with the other barcoded items without putting a barcode. My drop-off movers told me that that one item should have been taped to another barcoded item. Seeing how the items are tracked with barcodes, I think this is what others should be aware of. (2) I had a lot of furniture that could be installed without any tools, and that meant some potential plastic bits could come loose during the move. I did not lose many, but I just want to warn others about the issue. Overall, very satisfied. read more

I'm disabled and low income. I became homeless last year and I contacted make space.com to store my things. I couldn't afford the insurance but I was told that my things world be cared for without a doubt. Apparently clutter took over at some point. I placed brand new furniture, clothes, and personal items in their care. I moved 2 weeks ago and requested my things be returned to me. Well someone between these two companies decided to go thru each and every one of my bins and take whatever they wanted. My deceased mother's jewelry, watches, and momentos are gone forever. My brothers are deceased and clothing and other items given to me by them have just disappeared. I stood I in line during the pandemic to purchase certain items like 70 rolls of toilet tissue hand sanitizer deodorant toothpaste and other personal others that were not in the bins that I packed them in. My brand new sofa and love seat have big holes in the bottom of them. They are filthy dirty and have a bad odor. My brand new 55 inch TV was broken along with the TV stand. My brand new microwave cart was destroyed in addition to my lamps and several storage bins. My underwear bin was rummaged thru. Who wants my bras and panties that bad? My brand new appliances, dishes, and personal papers were all mixed in together when I had them separate. This is a total violation of my trust. Who's gonna dig my loved ones up and give me the things that I inherited from them? My children and grandchildren gave me precious things that these people took their time to go through and steal whatever they'd like. I had the same people with me during both processes. Packing and unpacking. They noticed immediately that my bins were all open and half full. Why would I pay storage fees every month on time for more than 14 months if I didn't need my things to be secure? My daughter and son both have things stored here. They can afford the insurance so their things weren't touched. Why is this? Do you just steal from the poor? Aren't you a corporation with millions? Who's going to replace my irreplaceable things? My grandmother gave me some of her things before she passed away last year. My granddaughters colorful pink piggie bank with $1's $5's $10's $20's plus half dollar pieces dollar pieces and 4 rolls of quarters is just gone. What am I supposed to tell her? You all should really be ashamed of yourselves but I'm positive that this is hilarious to you. I didn't realize that broke bums were taking my things because I would've never ever trusted them to take anything anywhere. Enjoy the fruits of my labor and have a great day and life. read more

I recommend you avoid this company. Find another company for your moving and storage needs! Think twice before you decide to use them. I had a good experience at first when they moved my items into storage but that is where my positive experience ends! They have not been easy to use post pick-up and consequently I am going to switch companies and stop using them. Their website portal is cumbersome to use and you cannot even change account information using it. Don't try to call and speak with a live person or management, instead you need to chat on-line where you receive canned responses that are of no use at all. I am trying to donate some of my furniture while also having some of my items delivered to my new home and they cannot deliver items to two locations at the same time even know they are miles apart. Frustrated by this company, I want to remove all my items from their warehouse and I cannot send a truck, instead it has to be delivered to me!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this poorly run/managed company. Update: I requested a call from management since I could not contact them directly. I received a call from Kahlin, team lead for customer experience, and he was just awful. Refused to answer my questions, instead gave me canned responses and refused to connect me or give me the name and contact information for his boss and company leadership. Really???? Avoid this company as they are very inflexible and based on my experience, could care less about their customers and their needs. One star is generous for this business!!!! read more

I have never in my life used Yelp but I fully had to make an account because people should be warned. Clutter has been incredibly frustrating. It has been difficult for us to get access to any customer support. When they moved my stuff out of my last place, they did not have enough room in the truck for all of my stuff and would not be able to send a new truck out for several days, leaving me forced to bring many pieces of furniture home because I was not going to be able to be there in a week when they could finally send another truck. Mind you, this was after I had already sent them a full list of what I had days before and they knew exactly how big of a space in the truck they should have needed. It took us weeks to file the claims we needed to because customer support was so unhelpful. Now, I am moving into my new place and was just told that they have "misplaced" multiple of my boxes and furniture pieces and have no timeline for when they will find it and be able to schedule to bring it to me, which will largely inconvenience me as I am trying to live out of my apartment for the first bit without forcing me to buy new stuff. They also misplaced my dresser somehow, despite it being pretty large, so I have no idea how they lost it. Find another moving company. They could give me a free move voucher and I still wouldn't choose Clutter. I literally made a Yelp account to tell you this. You've been warned. read more

I recently removed items from my unit and must say the movers provided exceptional customer service. However, there' customer service team " is less than accommodating. After speaking with two (Alicia and Daniel) associates even though I requested to speak with a manager, I was not transferred to one until 1 hour and 20 minutes later. Once I was transferred to the manager Serena she was less than accomadating. Shortly after answering the call she stated the nothing could be done to change my concerns. My concerns are there increases and I was told I lost the discount since I went to a smaller unit. She stated the discount was not lost but could not quote me on what the price would be without the alleged discount. She stated they don't provide quotes over the phone and deflected everytime I asked a direct question. At that point she stated the "resolution " she could provide is having my items go to a different facility since Clutter could not do anything else. As I stated to her I have never been told my a manager to go to a competitor instead of trying to assist the customer. After 3 years of being a great customer I am in awe of the lack of concern and regard for a customer. I'll definitely be looking to take Serena advice and take my business elsewhere. read more

These guys were AMAZING! They took such good care with my things and really were a joy to work with. They came prepared with any and every type of supply I could have needed - and did need! They were incredibly thorough, and so very kind. I feel really comfortable knowing my items are in their care en route to the Clutter facility. I recommend this service to anyone who is moving or just may need to put some things in storage. The company texts you when they're on their way, and you can see how far they are. I even got a text update on the % filled my selected storage space was as they were packing my items. They adjust your price, meaning if you use less than the size space you originally selected, you won't be charged for that full size. Their website is so user friendly, booking and modifying the reservation when I needed to make some changes was SO easy. Additionally, their customer support answered a couple of questions I had via email very quickly - and they were a huge help! They're incredibly fair, and don't charge you for hidden costs. Boxes of all sizes, moving quilts - you name it, they had it. Love how they take photos of each item and attach a barcode - incredibly organized. I dread moving and was apprehensive about storing my things somewhere I couldn't directly access however I had a very short turn around for my move due to a job change and decided to try Clutter. I moved a sectional, bedroom set, bar and office furniture into a 10x10 unit, fast forward 2 years I was moving back and needed some of my furniture. I went on-site and selected the pieces I needed and waited for a notification on when it would be delivered, once notified (2 days prior to delivery) I waited, unfortunately I did not leave a note to ring my doorbell so I almost missed the movers (make sure your ringer is on, the team calls you when they arrive). Luckily, Alvin and Charlie waited patiently for me and I was able to have the furniture delivered. I live in a 2-family home so there were a lot of stairs, the team expertly moved everything in while I was on a conference call and was done without 30 mins. Alvin and Charlie were incredibly polite and so efficient, all of my furniture was in perfect condition and the team took care to ensure everything was placed exactly where I wanted. Would highly recommend clutter and definitely recommend Alvin and Charlie! read more

I recently scheduled a clutter pickup appointment earlier in the summer and had a great experience with Charlie and Ahmad. They packaged all of my items with care as if it were their own, and carefully removed all of my large furniture into their truck. A few weeks later, I scheduled another pickup from clutter and was fortunate to get Charlie and Ahmad again! They remembered exactly who was from a few weeks prior which shows they really care about their customers! Once again, they packaged all of my items perfectly with bubble wrap, blankets, tape to hold everything in place, and made sure the fragile items were labeled as "fragile". They carefully placed all of my items in their truck and I was left as a happy customer once again because of them. I have to schedule a drop off appointment within the next few weeks and I am hoping that I get them again because they really care about their work and it shows. I feel more at ease when they are handling my items and I am a very happy clutter customer because of Charlie and Ahmad! read more

Update on 9/12: Another excellent experience with Clutter. Gerald and Justin were extremely helpful in moving my belongings to my new home from storage. I couldn't believe how quickly they were able to get everything done in such a short period of time. They also put a lot of care in moving each of my items, making sure not to damage the floor or scuff any of the walls. Very impressed once again! _____ Couldn't have had a better experience with Clutter. This is now my second time using them, and they have made the moving experience easy and painless each time. Savian, Gerald, Corey, Reggie, and Tyreek were amazing. They arrived on time, prepared and ready to go. They were professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, and kind throughout the entire process. Moving can be a stressful thing, but the team made it as good of an experience as it could be and I am grateful to them for handling my possessions with such care and thought. These guys are truly great! We were moving offices and Kirk and his team were immensely helpful in the transition. They were efficient, courteous, and genuinely interested in what our organization does (which really helped me trust that our items would be transported and stored carefully). And it's true that they will help you pack everything. I was frantically putting boxes together when they arrived, and they helped us put books, pens, EVERYTHING away. Requesting items back was also really easy. They took pictures of everything so I knew exactly what I was getting (leaving some items in storage). More importantly, the guys were thoughtful about our items/office, laying down blankets to make sure not to scratch the floor with heavy furniture and printers. I can't rave enough about these guys. The clutter crew (Terrance and Adam) were so lovely to work with. They worked hard with packing our things and were careful and kind. They came out to our storage unit one day and the next they came to our home. We have a lot of things and they got most of the items out the first day and scheduled for the next day to grab the rest of the items. They were on time and started imThey have been great so far to work with! Moving day 2: Gerald and Charles came bright and early to finish packing up our home. They got right to work and were very efficient. They were very kind and flexible to work with as I kept finding more and more random things hiding around the house that needed to be boxed up. They worked really well together and worked well with us. I cannot say enough good things about them and our moving experience! They were very thorough in wrapping and caring for our things. This is my third experience with Clutter.com. ( i still need to write a review for my first two pickups) I can't say enough great things about this company! I had James, Edwin and Tahaj at my home today helping to clear out my basement. They were polite, professional and hardworking. So far all the helpers at Clutter.com have been wonderful! The concept is brilliant. They provide unlimited pick up and delivery. They come and pick up your items. They'll even pack them for an insanely small fee. I labeled my boxes so when they photographed them I'd know what was in each one. Each box gets scanned and entered into phone app so that later on you can go on the app and specifically choose which items you want returned. This is amazing for anyone remodeling . Have them pick up and store your stuff while working then return it when done. I will never go back to traditional storage ever again!!! read more

this company is awful they backed up my lovesac sofa and lost all the hardware needed to reassemble it. they give me no option to file a claim on there app because they never took a photo of the hardware, it's going to cost me over 800.00 to replace it. I've called and talked to multiple people but they refuse to file a claim for me. I have some stuff in there storage, I selected 19 items to be sent to me, 11 of them were wrong. they actually charged me to move them down and return them to storage by illegally charging my credit card without my permission. I since five to dispute with my credit card company and I've canceled the credit card. I've also contacted my lawyer. I've explained to them multiple times that I am in the hospital I've been here since July 19 in a cardiac ICU unit but still they offer me no assistance DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL read more

They asked if I'd leave a yelp review, but honestly I would have left one regardless. The team's awesome. Terrance, James, and Jaquan are helpful, efficient, and hard working. They made this nightmare of a move that much easier and I can't thank them enough. I had most of the stuff packed up, but they helped add a TON of additional items when I realized I had the space. They were careful to wrap all the fragile stuff and took care with every item. At one point I overheard Terrance say something along the lines of "I think we should break it down into pieces because I don't want to damage the bed. It's really nice and I'm worried about it. We have to be gentle." Like... dude. Movers that actually care about your stuff as much as you do? Dude. They were done in about an hour and change. I had a very positive experience with this company. They were extremely helpful when booking and planning what kind of storage was needed for all my stuff. This company also makes storage for short periods of time extremely convenient. They don't have a minimum time you need to keep your stuff with them. However the crew we had to help us move, Tyrik, Aaron, and William made my experience even better. Some of the coolest and most laid back guys. Not once did they complain about what they had to do, in fact kept asking if there was anything else we needed them to take. These three wevery hardworking, friendly, and conscious of people's space and time. I would highly recommend clutter and if you can get these three guys then your whole experience will be great! The packing crew is the only reason this is not a 1 star review. The pack up team was fantastic! They had been at work from 6 am and 7 am, but arrived after 4 pm full of energy. They were pleasant and hustled with care to pack up my belongings. If Clutter prospers it will be due to their staff, if these four are any example of their packing employees. Now the scheduling team is another story. My appointment was in a time window of 11 a - 2p. I was provided misinformation about the packers arrival and was provided with no assistance as to a real ETA. The scheduling was HORRIBLE! Period! I almost went to their biggest competitor, Make Space when the scheduling and dispatch team continued to provide me with crappy customer service. Again, the packing/moving team was the only saving grace. Give these men a raise!! read more

At first I was a bit skeptical about using Clutter because I hadn't heard of the company prior and some of the reviews posted aren't that great. However, a friend recommended I try them since a lot of people lately have been using them. I was not disappointed! I am a pretty organized person and felt a bit anxious not knowing exactly how the process would work but the guys were great and made me feel super comfortable. They handled labeling and taping up all of my boxes and came prepared with the right packing materials to help with some of my larger and fragile items. They worked quickly but carefully and wouldn't let me lift a thing. Overall my experience was great! They arrived right on time and checked with me multiple times prior to packing up anything I may not want packed. Highly recommend! read more

From moving all my stuff into storage to bringing it to my new apartment the process could not have been easier! The website itself is easy to use and convenient, but what made me feel most comfortable about the process was the customer service from the movers. Ari and Adam packaged up my stuff neatly and moved it safely to storage (even managed to wrap up my extremely awkward to move, swiveling coffee table, nice and neat). I only needed storage for a short time so when I moved into my new place I had movers bring it right back. When returning my stuff, Alvin and Adam provided the same wonderful customer experience (pictured). All of the people I worked with were very friendly, attentive, and extremely professional. If I need storage in the future I'll be sure to use clutter. read more
