After numerous good experiences with Clutter. My last experience was awful. After 3 attempts to get my items out of storage the movers dumped my items in front of my house and left. The first appointment, the movers took 4 hours to move 1/3 of my items, bc they were tired and their time was almost up. The second appointment 15 items were missing and they friend to deliver someone else's (broken) item. This last attempt they refused to bring my items upstairs so they left them on the sidewalk. Do not use these people. The mover quality has gone down hill.

I am absolutely done with this company. 20 of my 132 items were lost/damaged. Approx 70% of my furniture was damaged to varying degrees. In total, they did over $3,500 worth of damage and since their arbitrary policy states that they only cover up to $2500, I am screwed. The movers that gave me my stuff back were very kind and worked hard and were on time. What concerned me was their shock and awe when they saw how much of my stuff was damaged, and how poorly the original movers had prepared my items. They kept saying how this was a bad time for the company when I had moved and things were better. This did not comfort me. Also, apparently Clutter knew things were damaged by them, and though they marked them in the system as damaged, no one bothered to tell me or notify me that they had done this. In addition, the company had agreed to refund me for the 2 items lost up front. They said in an email that this would not expire, so I waited until I received everything back to recoup. Apparently now they said its closed. they did re-open but not first without stating that I got one of the things (which is untrue because the dude didnt bother to open the link or photo to see its a different item) and then they asked again if I was sure I was missing my wine fridge... even though I had already been through that. DO NOT USE THEM. Just careless. The 1 star is because everyone has been nice, but nice doesnt fix broken couches, dressers, shelves......

If all you read is this line; run away (don't walk) from Clutter as quickly as you can. I cannot overestimate how frustrated, annoyed, disappointed, and angry I am with my overall MakeSpace/Clutter experience. After 18 months of storage, every item of furniture I had in storage is damaged beyond repair. Even the movers who returned my items (who only picked up a truck already packed) were embarrassed and angry on my behalf of the clear lack of care and attention given during moving and storage. Their customer service is atrocious and the online/offline experiences are just antagonizing. I was specifically willing to spend more when I signed up because I expected additional care when moving and storing my belongings. The only things that weren't damaged had been packed by myself. Why did I bother storing my stuff 18 months, only to have to toss much of it out and start fresh? I paid for a service that was supposed to save me money, and it ended up costing me thousands and thousands in unnecessary storage and moving fees for items that got thrown out and replaced.

I've already changed many locations and collaborated with many moving companies, but CLUTTER IS THE BEST! Starting with scheduling to the actual moving appointment, everything was 100%. The people on the phone and the guys who came to the apartment were very professional and friendly. Amir, Charlie, Ahmed, Jeffrey and Dwayne made my relocation easier and faster. Thank you, guys! I will recommend Clutter very highly!

Alvin & Denzell & Eric are great!

I'm seeking a storage solution and find clutter online. The price is reasonable and competitive compared with other companies. The process is smooth. Alvin & Denzell&Eric came to my place in time, wrapped up all my items and took pictures for each piece of them. They protected my furniture to every corner carefully- even better than what I could do. Their service is really out of my expectations. They are so polite and helpful. I would love to refer Clutter to my friends as the best moving solution.

I paid a lot of money to have Clutter pack and store my items. When I retrieved my items from storage, I discovered that everything had been packed in a completely haphazard manner. Cleaning supplies were packed with clothing, kitchen supplies were packed with my bedding and nothing was labelled or organized. In fact, the cleaning supplies were not packed properly and spilled all over some of my clothes (since they were all packed in the same box), completely ruining many of my expensive clothing items. Also, when I opened my boxes, I discovered that several of my fragile items were completely broken. I called Clutter and they were completely unhelpful. They told me to file a claim online, which I did. The items they broke (not including the ruined clothing) amounted to over $500 but Clutter told me the maximum amount that they could compensate me was $50. I would not recommend them at all and wish that I had read the other bad reviews before I had hired them.

Update: just wanted to update this review: I requested the return service and they had to delay some of my items including a mattress that I needed to sleep on, so I would recommend preparing for late returns. Additionally, I was told that they would recalculate and possibly even reduce my storage size/charge if my stuff fit, but this did not happen despite calling to confirm the area I needed multiple times. Slightly disappointed with the above things Clutter is a great storage and I highly recommend this to anyone in University City area looking for a place to store furniture and stuff over the summer if you are not subletting. I scheduled mine for the first time slot and they arrived exactly on time and got straight to work. Clutter takes care of all parking, which is super convenient especially in philadelphia. I also had text notifications and a link to track the location of the crew. Tomas and Marquis were both super helpful and great to work with. The crew, as other reviews state, took great care wrapping everything up etc. and moving everything. They did especially good job with mattresses since they have large bags that serve as mattress covers. I think this is very useful and not something I could do by myself. As for the other aspects, I called clutter several times and their customer service is fantastic, except that every time I called, they always told me that the 5 x 10 unit would be enough to store all my furniture, except day of, when everything was packed, I got upgraded to a 10 x 10. I am a bit upset by this because I had previously called so many times to confirm that a 5 x 10 would be sufficient. Finally, I have yet to have my items delivered, but clutter has told me through customer service phone calls that I can have my items delivered as many times as I want throughout my membership period. Will update this post once i have my items delivered. As for tips to make the process go easier, I would say pile all of your stuff in a clear area so that they can start putting it into boxes, etc. other than that, you really don't have to do any other

I see some of the negative reviews here, but I have had nothing but a stellar experience. The communication was great from the beginning and the crew arrived on time and photographed all items and very securely packed up everything. I have only positive things to say about the company as the service, price, and value proposition here were excellent. Would highly recommend Terrence and Adam

Hate moving? Tired of those unscrupulous moving company. Well Clutter May be for you! I moved my 1600 sq floral and event prop rental studio with Clutter team Theses guys were nothing short of amazing It took 3crews and 3 days ( yeah I know yikes !) Took a picture James and Joel (clutter team) and Bernard ( from maken studios) Clutters Crew did all the heavy lifting and even packed the remainder of my items just as promised. Definitely a great decision choosing them

    Moving day!!

My first time using this company. Movers was nice and some were quiet. My end table was broken in the mist of the move I was highly pissed off: since I bought it like 10 years ago. You must keep your receipts and proof of purchase just in case they damage any of your items. The company will reimburse you. They will reimburse you for much lower of the amount if you don't have proof of purchase. Sucks but facts.

    Thanks guys!!

I finally got a job in NYC, so I had to move to Jersey City. Being new to the area, I didn't have any idea of the movers in the Philly area. After doing some checking on yelp and google reviews, I came across Albo moving. Their reviews were really good, and they were close to my parent's house where I was living at the time. I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. I could not be more grateful to Alex and his team for the excellent job, and I would definitely hire them again for my next move. My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.

His quote was a few thousand lower than it ended up costing me; I paid the highest amount that I heard from friends in my previous neighborhood who moved to the same development but their movers were not available. He later offered to help bring in some of the boxes but we were so frustrated by how much work we had ahead of us we just couldn't comprehend having him come over but as we were getting to the end we had some heavy items that needed help to move and I tried recently to call him and he doesn't answer the phone. That is why I wouldn't trust anything he says! BEWARE! No matter what is said get exact price written down, what is exactly is included, watch how they wrap everything and fragile items you should take yourself and be wary if they say boxes are included! I originally thought it went well till I started to unpack. Now first off I had an estimate including them to unpack but they misjudged the amount of work that was required. So it ended costing me triple the price and they didn't have the time to unpack. They also only marked half the boxes with what was in them making it very frustrating for me to know what was worth to unpack immediately. Upon moving the boxes that they piled up triple high and very heavy caused the move to be extremely difficult since we are in our 70's. Upon opening the boxes the items were wrapped and re-wrapped with so much clear plastic that we spent hours cutting through to get to the items. They did this to many things that were non breakable pieces like boxes of cereal but a vase from Greece was wrapped in paper and was broken in pieces. A cup from Russia also broken was thrown in with the vase and a piece of paper place between them no wrap on the cup. My small 2 drawer file desk was emptied in a box mixing paper clips, rubber bands, pens, markers, and everything else that was in jars. All our items with cords instead of keeping them together they were all thrown in different boxes and still have not found them. We have a very heavy sewing table with machine needed taken up to the walk up attic(our second floor) it is still sitting in the garage and now we have to hire someone else to take care of it otherwise we can not park in the garage. DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY Will PROMISE TO DO THINGS; BUT BEWARE!! ALSO I WAS CHARGED FOR EXTRA MATERIAL; THEY USED SO MUCH MORE THAN NEEDED!!

With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.

The dispatcher Paul needs anger management lessons…read more My friend recently moved across town and ordered Man With A Van movers as they had good experiences with the company in the past. Man With A Van gave my friend two quotes: a cheaper quote for Two Guys with a Van and a more expensive quote for Three Guys with a Truck. My friend sent the more expensive rate for Three Guys with a Truck. But then this dispatcher tried the blame game of "You didn't specify Truck" when to our surprise only Two Guys and a Van showed up. Lemme ask you a question. If I offer you a hotdog for $3 and a burger for $4, and you hand me 4 dollars, wouldn't anyone with a working brainstem assume that meant YOU WANTED THE BURGER? But my friend was sweet and offered: "Maybe y'all can come back tomorrow with three guys and a truck, because it's really a three person job", to which the movers declined. After a quick call, the dispatcher said there'd be no additional charge for extra trips due to the smaller vehicle. What's more is that one of the two Movers had a bad back and couldn't take the stairs like the other dude. So at some points the job is only getting done by one dude (you could argue one-and-a-half dudes). If THREE guys should be able to make the move of loading and unloading in TWO hours, then HALF that much manpower means... you guessed it: it's gonna take at least twice as long! Not to mention they spent extra time stacking things like Jenga inside the van to make it all fit in one trip. Because the job (that my friend agreed to pay $500 for three guys and a truck) took so much longer with one and a half guys and a van, Paul upcharges an extra $300!! Again, my friend is nice, and they're trying to hash this out cause they didn't get what they paid for, regardless of it it took more time. (And again, of course less manpower means more time). But instead of having a conversation with my friend, Paul starts SCREAMING at them, cursing at them, saying "You're Full Of Sh*t!" and threatening legal action immediately! My friend is begging through tears that they want to make this right; begging him to STOP yelling and panicking them. The mover's felt so bad and embarrassed overhearing Paul act like a jack*ss on the phone that one even offered to pay the remainder, but my friend, still shook up and in tears, said that they wanted to make this right and moved what little money they have around to pay as much as they could. We're ALL struggling out here, and the movers def deserve to get paid. I'm sure the dude with the hurt back needs more money and easier hours, but the company is working him to the bone. But to have this dude Paul berate and coerce my friend, spitting venom over the phone? Shouting until my friend is begging in tears for him to stop? I'm never gonna forget that. And this company needs to make things right. The job took long because of Dispatch's mistakes. They sent 1.5 guys to do a 3 man job, without the agreed upon equipment no less. If you want a stress-free experience: steer clear. If you want some jerk from New York taking out his daddy issues on you: you've come to the right place.
