The vibes felt off as soon as we started speaking because he never made eye contact and I felt disregarded. I've had smog checks in the past and never needed to bring in anything. They have a system that can look up my VIN and pull my information... Anyways, the place gets a 1 star because the employee was a bit rude and he showed me the paper he was looking for, and gave the drawer a little slam. He was being very curt and wouldn't budge after I offered the VIN a few times. I called another smog place nearby and verified over the phone if I can provide my VIN since I don't have any paperwork and they said it's no problem at all... So that confirms my suspicion that the guy was just being lazy. He wanted to scan the paperwork instead of typing it himself. I came to this place because of the great reviews, and I'm sure they provide wonderful service, but my experience with this guy's vibes were off. I happily took my car to Lambert Smog Only Center, was warmly greeted, and out in 15-20 minutes.

Ended up waiting about 15 minutes past opening time just for them to let me in, and no one even bothered to greet me. After finally getting inside, I was told it would still be about an hour wait for a basic oil change -- despite me being the only customer there. That made no sense. I decided to leave and went to another shop across the street, where I was in and out in 20 minutes. Big difference in professionalism and efficiency. Definitely won't be coming back. Bad business.

I got my car serviced about a month ago by this business. One Saturday, my dashboard had lit up with a bunch of lights and it was rattling on the freeway. I was referred to them by AAA and brought my car to the shop after a quick phone call to give them a heads up. In the office, I spoke with Kevin, who kept me informed and updated on the plan. After leaving my car at the shop for diagnostics, I expected to hear back later that afternoon, as they closed a little earlier at 3 PM. However, I didn't hear anything back from them (this is why I removed one star). Since they were closed on Sunday and Monday for Memorial Day, I had to follow up with them on Tuesday morning when they opened at 8. Kevin told me the issue with my car's ignition coils, recommended a tune-up, and ran the numbers, which I found to be a reasonable price. They told me that my car would be ready before the end of the day. I was honestly pretty skeptical, but it was ready before 3 PM! They do take Zelle payments which lowered the cost a little bit. This place charges $138 for a smog check if your car is older than the year 2000 and refuses a free smog check. I called to confirm pricing on Friday and they stated $48 for the smog check and a free retest. I even confirmed online. I come in, and he quotes me for $138 and did not explain anything to me prior. He told me to take a seat and started to work on my car without telling me the breakdown. I paid $138, with no free re-test and they failed my smog. My car does pass smog but because they couldn't find the label on my Cadillac converter confirming its model, they failed it. No other smog place would ever fail that car. The emissions were perfect but because THEY couldn't find the label, they didn't want to pass it. I feel, they intentionally failed my car to get my money and for me to come back to spend another lump sum. Never go here. You'll be better off going down the street. Truly.
