The home was beautifully maintained, clean, and came equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. The grocery stores were close and downtown Palm Springs was just a short drive away. There was a grill so we could bbq and have meals poolside. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. The highlight was definitely the outdoor area--lounging by the pool with the stunning mountain backdrop was unforgettable. Property management and owner were professional, communicative, and made checking in completely seamless. We will definitely book through them again!

RENTER BEWARE! As a…read moreproperty management company, Sunny Days is the worst and here's why: (rental property located in the wine country/Temecula) * Over 6 windows would not close nor lock. When contacting VRBO and Sunny Days along with videos/pictures, they would not do anything to fix it as "it did not pose a threat to the security of the home." * Broken furniture in the home. * Dead animal on patio table * Ripped patio furniture * Oven would not open * Did not disclose that cameras and listening devices would be placed inside/outside the home on the listing. * Over charging during booking. After 15 days of constantly calling, they magically found the issue and refunded that amount. The bigger question, is how long have they been overcharging people? Suggestions: * Ask to review the detailed contract before signing a contract. * Sunny Days forces the renter to pay for damage protection but it's not disclosed until AFTER you purchase one from VRBO. I was forced to pay for two damage policies. * Book over 30 days prior so that you can cancel after reading/understanding how they are charging a fee and tax on every line item. * Read/review the Riverside county taxes/wind country taxes/transient taxes that can be charged. For example, you will be charged taxes on top of a listing fee, pet fee, spa heating fee, and yes... they can charge you taxes on linens. Hence for the recommendation to review the many charges prior to committing. * Always remember there's the BBB/Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission to report fraud companies like Sunny Days. My family and I left the property within 12 hours because we felt unsafe and violated. Sadly we lost our money. I'm hoping this review can help others not have the same experience.

We sent videos and photos of the home upon check out, which we left in cleaner condition than when we received it. The home was dusty and covered in hair when we checked in. They were billing us for 3 extra hours of cleaning when we cleaned prior to leaving (washing towels, sheets, dishes etc before vacating). They also got incorrect dates of our pool heat during the holidays. Honestly, they need to either hire more people or actually hire competent people. Will not rent another property from them and will stick with Acme House instead. UPDATED - Company is so worried they took down the Google review. Poor business practices. Honestly the home was left CLEANER than when we checked in. Note, upon check in we didn't mention this as we just cleaned ourselves (long black hair everywhere, stains on sheets and towels, dust in corners etc). Physically our dog is too big to fit under any of the beds in this property so please do your homework prior to accusing guests. Instead of gaslighting, you should actually take the time and care to review videos and pictures guest provide to you upon checkout. Perhaps then maybe you'd stop mixing up your properties (in reference to pool heating). Keep in mind reviews on Yelp are from clients vs guest which speaks VOLUMES... Again, use Acme House vs this company on your next visit to Palm Springs. The end.

The condo was supposed to be completed the week previously and I agreed to delay moving for 7 days.  I have a copy of the text of him apologizing for this problem.   When we came into this contract, you were hired because I was in  the hospital due to an intestinal illness and could not manage the project myself.  My mom met you to facilitate the contract on my behalf.  My husband died on March16 2020, almost 7 months before the water damage to my condo occurred.  His death had nothing to do with my condo.  Please get your facts straight and stop lying.  There was no restoration company on site when you came to the condo - another lie.  My mom was there with an air conditioning company that repaired the leak from the air conditioner.  The restoration company did not begin any work until the following week.  That was the last time my mom visited the condo until May of 2021.  You are the one who met with the restoration company, you were hired to facilitate that process with my insurance company.  Your "best vendor" has still not finished repairing my condo.  It has now been 6 months since you paid the contractor for "completing the job and it has yet to be accomplished. The baseboards still need to be painted, , there is trim work that hasn't been finished, there are nails poking out of cabinets, one of the kitchen cabinets is cracked in half, the toilet paper holder is hanging off the wall, the granite on my bathroom backsplash was broken and glued sloppily back together, there is missing door stops and electric outlet covers, overspray, paint drips, sloppy and wrong color caulking and many, many other problems.  I am still missing pull out cabinet drawers and my screen door for my sliding glass door that was broken.  My living room, dining room, and patio furniture were all damaged.  My neighbors can testify that my furniture was roughly placed out on my patio and they watched heavy items that were thrown on top of my glass patio table and heard it break. This was all done when the flooring was being installed.   Also the tile on my patio is cracked from furniture being dropped on it.   You said your husband cleaned my "whole house" for me - what a joke!  My mom and I spent 4 days cleaning my condo because it was so filthy dirty.  I wish I would have taken pictures of what you considered clean.  There is still piles of sawdust under my  bed and behind my dresser and armoire because I'm not strong enough to move the furniture to vacuum it up.    Yes I did meet with the contractor and have made numerous phone calls and texted him numerous times during these last 6 months asking to get things fixed but it has yet to be resolved.  This past week I have texted him 5 times  and made 6 phone calls to beg him to return my items and fix the problems.  He always says "he will be there tomorrow" or "let me call you right back" and then nothing.   I  never said my condo looked "beautiful" - I actually paced around, holding back the tears from seeing all the items that were very poorly executed, damage property, or still not competed.  I encourage anyone to come over to my condo for themselves to see the subpar work that was done and that you were paid to supervise.    You deposited the $20,000.00 the insurance company paid to have my condo repaired from water damage into your bank account.  As I stated in the previous review I am still waiting for the receipts showing what you paid out and to whom.   I have no idea where that money went.  I am left with a condo that is still unrepaired and unrentable.  What part of that makes you not a thief or a liar?  One last note - you stated "I noticed that on your other reviews you have bashed many companies and restaurants, which looks like it was done out of anger and grief".   Over 70% of my reviews are 4 stars and above (most being 5 stars except one 4 star).  I recognize and praise any business that does high quality work.

Whether it's the state of the art fitness centers, the 3 pools, tennis courts, 2 golf courses, bocci ball, pickle ball, or the over 65 clubs there is ALWAYS something to do here. We have the lowest HOA fees in the Coachella Valley and our amenities are second to none. It's the most affordable senior community around but we feel like we've hit Lotto and are living in Paradise. The negative comments on here are from "renters", (not homeowners), who did not want to abide by the rules. HOA living isn't for everyone...if you are typically a rule breaker, you probably shouldn't live here. However, if you want to live in a safe, clean, beautiful community with active and fun seniors who love to have a good time, then give Sun City Shadow Hills a look...you won't be disappointed!
