To put it in perspective, I live in Atlanta, Ga. and bought a new 2021 Tundra from Coad due to how their service and professionalism made the buying experience so easy. Nick Curtis was my salesman and his attention to detail and constant communication was the best I have ever experienced. Nick was quick to arrange to the have the Trucked hand delivered to me along with all of the paperwork, to my house some 400 mils away from his dealership!!! Now that is service! I can't say enough about responsive and helpful Nick was during the entire buying experience. Since I was searching nationwide, I talked to a lot of dealerships and salespeople and when I talked to Nick you could instantly tell he was genuine and trustworthy. Everyone I communicated with either via phone, text or e-mail were absolutely the nicest and easiest people to deal with. Craig Hughes the finance manager via a phone call, took the time to explain every detail of the transaction and answer every question I had. Craig was very professional, courteous and easy to talk to. Rogan Taylor set up phone call with me to discuss all of the connectivity features of the Tundra since I was out of town. Again very professional and answered every question. He spent over an hour with me going through all of the technology of Tundra. First, I am a happy Toyota owner. I recently moved to Paducah and needed an oil service, so I set up an appointment with service, not easy with the phone system. The female Service Advisor acted as if I was interrupting something more important when I arrived, it sounded like a personal phone call. At no time did I feel welcomed or wanted. More recently a friend needed some help on his older Toyota and I called the Parts Department. The man demanded the VIN and said he was unable to do anything without it.. When I gave it to him he argued that the part I said I wanted wasn't the part I needed. We went to look at the catalog with the parts man and after a difficult time with him were finally informed that the part was no longer available. I then Called Toyota of Murray and difference was amazing. No demanding to have the VIN first, just a polite helpful person, with the part I needed. I spent several minutes this morning looking for a way to privately send Mr. Smith an e-mail to tell him of my experience, but the website does not have that option. I didn't know what kind of car I wanted and needed. It didn't take me long to decide with the awesome help of SCOTT SHANKLE. I had told Scott on the phone that I had been driving a Toyota Camry that I bought from Mike Smith Toyota in 2006, so when I got there, Scott had a black 2014 Camry at the front door for me to look at. Wanted to give a shout out to Dave Lucas who assisted u at CTP. We gave him a few details of what were were looking for, what we didn't like about our current car, and what we would settle with. He had a few selections right off, and after a great test drive, my husband and I made a purchase. He was so laid back, very very informative regarding makes and models, and very personable, not pushy at all. Not thinking we would actually make a purchase that day, we had shown up with no check book, no car title, and covid restrictions hampering our every move to get what we needed, but they were accommodating in every way. We received a great trade in price, and drove off the lot confident we had made the right choice. I bought a new Prius at Mike Smith Toyota and had a very good experience with the sales team. However I can't say the same for the service department. As a matter of fact I will never go there again because of one of the women that works in the service department. I do not appreciate being talked down to and this lady is very good at trying to make you feel like an idiot. I spoke with her first and said nothing to my husband about the way she spoke to me. He called back in the afternoon to check on the car because she didn't bother to call me back to let me know what was going on with our car like she said she would. He hung up the phone and said "I don't like her attitude. She talked down to me like I was an idiot". We have bought our 2005 prius used about 5 years ago. We have a great relationship with the service department. Jackie and his crew makes sure that if there is anything wrong with our car they let us know and check to see if we want to fix it r have them. The phone operator always answers the phone cheerful and sounds eager to help. The Mechanices hasn't ever left our car dirty or greasy from where they was working on the car. If your lucky Sky will be there eager looking for someone to play ball with him. Needless to say everyone from sales to Sky (which is the dog whom he doesn't know he's a dog) , If you are looking for somewhere you don't feel like your being pushed to buy or even get a part repaired. The wife and I drove close to 4hours to get here to look at my 2018 4runner. We inquired about it through a email and Maria Moore answered the email within a few hours. The very next day we went, she greeted us in the lobby, asked us if we needed refreshments, then off to the test drive. We fell in Love with the 4runner instantly and started the paperwork as soon as we got back.... The rest is history. She has been in touch several times since the purchase, even the store manager reached out to make sure we are happy. I contacted Toyota with interest in purchasing a new vehicle. I was promptly contacted by a sales rep by the name of BZ regarding my inquiry. He was able to locate the vehicle I wanted although it had yet to be built. I was given an estimated build date but my vehicle was made a week ahead of schedule which allowed me to have it before my 40th birthday. This was my first time going through the process of purchasing a vehicle without driving it first but he made it alot less painless. It was a very comfortable and laid back experience from start to finish. That's not to say it wasn't professional because the professionalism was top notch. Ashley was awesome to work with!!!! She was very sweet, very knowledge and very patient with my kiddos who were with me whenever I made the purchase. Daughter's car was totaled out and we were pressed on time to find another new vehicle. These People are horrible human beings with no ability to make judgements for themselves. They turned away a 25yr old girl who lost the keys to my car while traveling. They would not let us send a copy of our ID and title or registration to make a key for a 17yr old car with 400k miles. They expected us to drive 9hrs to do it in person, this is not acceptable customer service expecially with covid 19. It was possible and the Marion toyota did it for us after we had to pay to tow the vehicle again to another dealership an hour away. you people truly suck. I purchased a Camry recently from Mike Smith Toyota Scion and it was the easiest auto purchase I've ever made. The salesman Lance Penix was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He never made the hard sell and was very friendly. He took the time to show me all the features of the car, including how to use the navigation unit. I never felt rushed into a decision. I 100% recommend Mike Smith Toyota. I drove an hour and a half to come to this dealership when I had a Toyota dealership 20 miles away. I received excellent care and respect and ending up buying a brand new 2012 Toyota RAV4.
