I have a life fitness recumbent , exercise bike. The bike is a little over over 20 years old. I've had it for 15 years and have rehabbed 4 knee surgeries with it as well as using it just for everyday fitness. A few months back, it started making noise after riding it for a few minutes. It was a loud noise, and you could feel it in the pedals. I was really worried that a major bearing was going out. After getting to the point where I was worried that I was doing damage to the unit I started looking for someone to serve it and tell me what was wrong. I contacted the manufacturer and they would have sent someone local out, but the price for the service charge was outrageous. I decided to turn to Yelp to help me find someone to service the bike, and that's where I found coast fitness. I called coast fitness and was put in contact with their service manager. He gave me some ideas of what could be wrong, and they were not nearly as bad as I was thinking. He gave me the price for just the service call, and it was reasonable.So I set an appointment for the next morning. The next morning , a super nice tech named Trisha came out and I showed her the problems I was experiencing. After listening to the noise, she said she was pretty sure that the bearings and my pedals were going out. She swapped out the pedals and then continued to listen for any possible thing that could be wrong with it , but there wasn't anything. I mentioned to her that I had contacted the manufacturer about getting a tech but how expensive it was. She said the funny thing is that they probably would've contacted Coast Fitness to come out and look at the bike. With the great experience I had , I would definitely recommend Coast Fitness for any exercise equipment that you have , that may need servicing. read more

My treadmill turned off mid stride. I called coast fitness and they sent a tech out within day. Chuck coordinated the entire thing. The tech who showed up knew immediately what had happened without even fully looking at it. They ordered the parts promptly and even assured my parts were still under warranty from the manufacturer since I forgot to register the product originally. Once the parts arrived, they sent a tech out again and fixed the problem, tuned up my tread and fixed a reoccurring issue I had without even mentioning it to them. I've spent literally tens of thousands here in the last 16 months. Today I really got to know the true intent of their business. Hired them to move 4 elliptical machines and asked if they could bring 4 other small pieces. Spoke to Alfredo and said no problem "were already going to your location". When I got back the machines were already loaded and his deliver guys said oh btw we're going to charge you an extra couple hundred bucks for a few extra minutes of their time. It's not even about the money, it's about how they tried to handle it. As a gym owner, I always take care of those loyal clients who are good for our business. Was very pleased to see a large selection of new and used equipment. We ended up going with the Tuff Stuff SXT-550 Premium "Hybrid" home gym. Financing was available as well. Got a call the next morning from the person that delivers and sets up the equipment. Scheduled the date and time that was convenient for our schedule. Super nice to have the gym delivered and set up by someone who knows what they are doing. I saw the instructions and the mass amount of parts and was so glad we went this route. Our top criteria for the gym was ease of use and this gym is just that. Went in for the Assualt Classic bike after reading several reviews online. Was pretty disappointed with the ride feel but they had several other Air Bikes on the floor so decided to try them all out. Immediately fell in love with the Concept bike but was not thrilled about the price tag. Paul was helping me on the floor and answered ALL my questions and was super helpful suggesting different purchasing options without being pushy. He even threw in a few extras which made me feel way better about getting a nicer bike than I initially walked in for. Made the trip to the showroom and was not disappointed. There was tons of equipment of all types to choose from and what they had in stock seemed to be good as well. For the equipment that I chose, John honored the holiday sales price that he quoted over the phone, which was a really great savings! He quoted a delivery and install date within 5 days, but 2 hours later I got a call with them wanting to schedule delivery the next day! Delivery was on-time and the installation went very quickly. I called and visited a few stores, and asked questions about various machines. One of the stores/companies was Coast Fitness in Riverside. I spoke with John, who was very knowledgeable, and he gave me pros and cons of various machines. I eventually settled on a TuffStuff SPT-6, due to the functionality and value. I can honestly say we love the unit. John made the whole transaction process seamless, and offered me a great deal on the unit and delivery. I have dealt with a lot of companies in the fitness world. More so recently and have to say that there seems to be an attitude that you get at a lot of the store fronts and warehouses. I drove over 4 hours to visit this location from Fresno, CA and do not regret it at all. I called one store I believe it was in Orange, CA. I spoke was Dan on the phone. He helped me find what I needed. I made arrangements to pick it up at the Riverside location. His communication on the phone and through email was professional and without that attitude I have become familiar with at similar stores. I showed up during the posted business hours and spoke with Paul in Riverside. He was also professional while avoiding the attitude as mentioned above. I took a look around, picked up what I had ordered over the phone, found a couple more items and continued back home. The drive was worth it, the prices were fair and the service was excellent. This will not be the last time I check in here to purchase exercise equipment. Thank you for being polite during covid when so many are at wits end. Oh and as far as I can tell everything was clean including the bathrooms. The protocols for covid safety were being followed. We wanted a fitness machine to do cardio work in our home. An elliptical machine fit the need perfectly, as low impact was important to us. What was also important to us was trying out the equipment before buying. With something as expensive and personal as an elliptical machine you really have to try them to know which make and model is best for you. Which leads to a problem... the national chains have a poor selection, of what are arguably poor machines, over priced, badly made consumer equipment. Now this is not an elliptical machine review, but our search for a machine we could demo locally did result in us finding Coast Fitness. Located in a industrial/retail park close to the 91 freeway Coast has a good selection of new, and used exercise equipment. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. After trying out several machines the one that was right for us was clear. We purchased it and it was delivered the next day - excellent service. Unfortunately after 18 months of use one of the arms broke. Coast Fitness sent someone out with replacement parts and fixed it in our home promptly under warranty. While he was repairing our unit he discovered another problem we were unaware of, and offered to order the parts and come back and fix that too for free. Outstanding service. When we bought the elliptical machine I only considered new, I was unaware they had such qualified repair and service staff. Next time I would have a good look at their used and reconditioned equipment too. read more

These guys are awesome, Bought my Tuff Stuff Sixpack Trainer about a year ago and called due to the left side cables twisting, Alfredo said it's rare that this happens but it can happen. I asked how to fix the problem or when they could come out to repair and he said I can be out today between 11:00 & 1:00 pm. He showed up at 12:30 pm and spent about 30 minutes making the correction. What great service, I recommend them and would choose to do business with Coast Fitness again in the future. Being a business owner in the service industry I totally appreciate this level of service.
