    Passive aggressive refund
    Monique D.

This company only does online reservations and claims to have gps monitoring of the scooters, yet uses the SAME code for ALL the scooters, so anyone can reserve a scooter/bike online, but take whatever is available at the pickup location. My bf reserved two white seated electric scooters online, but when we got to the Harbor Hotel to pick up the scooters we had reserved, there was only one of the seated scooters, but several of the other type of blue foldable seated scooters (which were smaller and crappier) available. He called the company to complain and ended up getting a refund (but not without a passive aggressive note that the owner decided to add to the PayPal refund), as they weren't able to provide the service we paid for. I then proceeded to rebook two more scooters (once another was returned) for us a lil later under MY name, and we took the scooters for the allotted time we rented it (12:15-3:15). On the way back home (2.5 hours later) my bf receives a text from the owner accusing him of riding the scooters without authorization, so I immediately called to let them know we had indeed paid for the rentals, and he had every right to use the scooters. She then proceeds to tell me that the police were called (LOL) because the staff from hotel reported that my bf and a woman with dreads had taken the scooters without paying for them!! Not sure if it was because I'm a brown woman with dreads, that the assumption was made that we 'stole' the scooters but it was ignorant regardless. She told me the police were called in our home town because they believed (without bothering to verify any info) that the scooters were stolen, despite being tucked in neatly and plugged back into the exact spot they were taken from at 3:14 sharp. Clearly they have NO oversight of their inventory (and use the same code year after year, to unlock everything) so they wrongly accuse paying customers of stealing because this whole process is SO disorganized!! The confirmation specifically states that the pickup/drop off location is video monitored, so I ask you this....WHY on earth were the police called if it was obvious that this brown dreaded woman and her angry boyfriend took the scooters as rented and then dropped them off with a WHOLE minute to spare, and then walked over to their Lexus and drove away, happy to have had a great day (or so we thought) in PTown. Of note: another couple picking up scooter said how much of a $hit show this company was because they had similar problems themselves. Word to the wise: get a better handle on your equipment and you won't need to WRONGLY accuse your customers who fund YOUR business. But life is too short to be angry, right??? LOL

I was told to come back tomorrow. I tried calling the next day, but nobody answered the phone so I showed up they didn't remember me. I told him I had purchased a scooter yesterday with my coworker, and then they went to look for it and they said it still wasn't ready and they needed to charge it . I came back the following day called again. No answer showed up didn't know who I was again reminded him an went to get my scooter ready for me to take one problem, though there was no charger with the brand new scooter. He could not find it. So he gave me a charger from behind the counter fast forward to today, May 5, 2026. I tried calling again no answer so I drove in. Doors were locked. Lights are on went to the front and back entrance. No sign of anyone one last check I see the guy who sold me the scooter in the window. I motion to him to come over. He comes over. he lets me in. I tell him about my scooter, he tells me to bring it in. I told him the back brake is no longer working, and my rear tire was making a grinding noise. He told me I could leave it to fill out my information before leaving. I asked him when he thought somebody would be able to take a look at it and he told me about a month. He stated the technician wasn't in today and that they had a backlog of scooters that needed to be repaired, which he pointed to in the corner and then told me there was multiple down in the basement of the same model. I told him that wasn't an option for me to wait over a month and that the scooter is still under warranty for another five months he tried to refer me to a scooter shop in Cambridge, which I live nowhere near and not paying for something that was under warranty. I then asked him what to do and he told me to call Segway the scooter company. And then again referred me to the scooter shop in Cambridge, which I had to reiterate that was not an option and I am not paying for something that is still under warranty. I asked him for Segway's number which he told me he did not have and to "Google it". My only dealings with this place twice have not been good and not the best customer service to say the least. Scooters were $1100 with tax and are under warranty for another five months and they are telling me I have to wait over a month to even get it looked at. Unacceptable!

Because of the misunderstanding they offered us a 50% discount for the future, which we were excited to use. We planned another trip up and when I called, Steve advised me to book the reservation and he'd apply the discount afterwards. We rented 2 e-bikes for $200, and had a nice day riding around the north shore. At the time we picked them up, Steve mentioned that he owed us the discount. We dropped them off at the end of the day and everything seemed good. Unfortunately it was never applied I've heard zilch from Steve since then. I've emailed multiple times about it and gotten no response. At this point it's been a month. Presumably since we've paid he just doesn't care? In the end, we had been willing to pay full price the first time around, but it's really disappointing to get a bait-and-switch like this.

The person kept pressing the gas himself and the moped jumped forward, he then hit the brake himself as a way to explain. I had no idea what he was asking me to do. Luckily I just took off and it was very easy to get the hang of. My sister had the same experience and was told she couldn't ride one by the attendant. He also never explained leaning into turns and I had to figure that out on my own. On another note, we were quoted a price of $286 on the site when I made the reservation. This was for 2 mopeds, 4 hours. When we arrived the attendant said the site was "broken" and the real price was $380 for both. I would have shopped around at this price. He wouldn't go with the price on my confirmation and in the end, we didn't want to ruin our plans for the day so we paid the higher price. Thirdly, the moped maxed out at 25 mph going up a hill. We were driving to Aquinna and the speed limit is 40 mph on some parts of the road. It was a bit disconcerting being passed by cars in a no passing zone.

They were incredibly rude and disrespectful about the whole thing. AVOID THIS PATHETIC OUTFIT at all costs. I wish there was an option to give zero stars
