I'll start the review by mentioning that my husband wanted to leave three stars but I'm giving four. Service was excellent, and thought was put into the decor. There is a very loud venue next-door- so during your meal, you will hear vibration from speakers and some noise. The food was beautifully plated, it was not bad, but it was not great just OK. I can appreciate what they are trying to do and the creativity behind the dishes, however some were over seasoned or poorly described. We had the flash fried artichoke, but it was large chunks of artichoke which were breadcrumbed and then fried and a few of the pieces were too fibrous to eat. We also had the scallops with coconut mash potatoes. The scallops were beautifully cooked, but the amount of pepper on them took away from any other flavor that they were trying to attempt. The fish dip was good, typical nothing to write home about and not bad. It was beautifully laid out and served with some crackers, but perhaps not worth the price. I see what they're trying to do here. And it has the bones it just needs a little more finessing and perhaps a new location.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and tonight we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant is well lit and very pretty inside with 8 tables total. This is very much a small restaurant with very good craft food with a coastal vibe. Good seafood choices and all of their food is cooked to order. We started with a night special appetizer, conch fritters. They were filled with plenty of fresh conch chopped with a light temputa type batter. I know that fritters are very hard to cook as they can go from wet dough on the inside to burnt outside very quickly. I felt that our order could have been cooked a little longer because it was a bit doughy inside. I also would have liked a house made hot sauce but it did come with a house cocktail sauce. The fish dip with crackers and fresh sliced cucumber was very good. I liked the chopped red onions and sliced fresh jalapeños that were on the side. The nightly fish special was a Peruvian seabass and the portion was very good. The asparagus risotto underneath was needing a little seasoning but salt and pepper was asked for and it worked. Service was good and pleasant and I would definitely return because the dining experience was very nice. I didn't even care that they don't serve beer or wine. We didn't know you could bring a beverage.

We had an excellent lunch here. They are only open for lunch at the moment but hope to add dinner service in the near future. We had stopped by here last week as we thought they'd already opened. I've been following their IG postings looking forward to trying them. We met the chef then who offered to give us a tour. After our meal today, we made sure to let her know that we came back and had enjoyed our experience. We found an open parking spot down the street. When we entered half the inside tables were occupied. They'd had a black board sign outside the restaurant on the sidewalk and one of the specials listed caught my husband's eye. We took a seat and were greeted by our server, Joey, who brought us water and drinks. We ordered right away. My husband chose their salmon special and I selected their seafood roll. The salmon was encrusted with pistachios and was served alongside a salad with a delicious dressing. My husband liked it so much that he ate every bit of it. My seafood roll was a mix of shrimp and lobster salad with mayo and scallions and seasoning. It came in hot dog style bun. For my side, I chose their french fries. The seafood mix was very good -- a lot of plump shrimp and some bits of lobster. Both items sold out while we were there, so it was good that we got our order in when we did. Next to our table, a couple was enjoying sharing a couple appetizers -- a poke bowl, clams, and a large salad. We asked how they liked their lunch. They said that the clams -- a daily special -- with a tomato base were excellent. It looked wonderful. I'll hope that this is on the menu next time we stop by. We look forward to returning in the near future.

    Beautiful Coastal Decoration

Love the relaxed coastal vibe and clean inspiring decor, even the restrooms have a nice decorated touch. Most of all, this was our first time and the food was just beautifully and uniquely prepared and absolutely delicious. Blair and Josh made us feel welcome and appreciated. We are going back to!!

Lobster, shrimp, crab, seafood roll, fresh clam chowder, and homemade slaw

Chef Blair is an amazing talent! She brings classic training and sophisticated cuisine to deliver bursts of flavor to every dish we've tried... today we enjoyed Sunday Brunch, we had a special Conch Benedict with fresh fruit and the overstuffed lobster, shrimp, crab Seafood Roll, bowl of Clam Chowder and fresh homemade Cole Slaw. We need a nap! Oh so good!

Empty plate. So good. Wanted lick off the rest but people might stare.

There are very few places that I have been to that hit every note for me. Blair (chef/owner) and Josh (son/greeter/server) were so kind and attentive. Truly made us feel so welcome. Blair and her daughter have created such a cool and comfortable space. Not hard to find. We parked right across the street and we were happy to find the Lake Worth Playhouse is around the corner where we were going to see a play. Our dinners were amazing. We started with the fish dip because we saw a not so good review and a very good review. It was VERY good. Fresh and delicious and was not the normal overly smokey and mayonnaise heavy recipes you find everywhere else. My wife had the crabcake. Ridiculous. All crab and little filler on top of a corn salad which was also amazing. I had tonight's special shrimp and scallops on top of quinoa and sautéd spinach. The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. I'm not a huge fan of quinoa but Blair does some crazy magic back in the kitchen that makes that grain a beautiful creamy accompaniment to the seafood. This was our first time there and we will be back next week for brunch! No liquor license yet so BYOB. $5 corking fee per person. Totally worth it! Bring your own. Less expensive this way so embrace it!

Last night, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Coast Seafood Restaurant, located across the street from Common Grounds on J Street, off Lake Avenue. Park in the first space you find, it's close enough to walk once you're east of Federal. The venue is a little hard to find, because it is set back, but it's immediately next to Rudy's Pub, so that should help. The atmosphere fails to suggest the high quality of epicurean pleasure you're about to relish, but as the weather warms, you'll also have the outdoor back area to enjoy. But enough, it's time to get on to the food! We began the evening with a smoked fish dip. Like you, I've eaten a thousand fish dips, and the common element is, sadly, too much mayo. Even when the flavor is good, it's counched in so much mayo you miss the fish. Not the case here. The fish was fresh, with a hint of lemon, and very little mayo. It was served with sesame crackers strips, cucumbers, sliced red onion and capers, giving a great flavor and texture profile when combined. I can say, without question, it was the best fish dip I've eaten. Ever. Second courses were, first hers, the daily special, a sea bass served on perfectly executed risotto and crisp but cooked asparagus. It was, again, one of the best I've eaten, which my partner made me say because she kept telling me it was the best she's had! She was right. Next, mine, the crab cake, not just large, but almost pure crab, seasoned to perfection, served on a warm corn salad. Until now, I always felt the crab cake at Eagle Grill was the best, and while I wouldn't take it down a notch, I would say it met its match. We debated having dessert, but the mention of chocolate mousse pushed me to ignore my partner's pleas and order it. My waistline might not be happy about my decision, but the rest of me was. And she, while using more restraint than I did, agreed, well worth the calories. We actually tasted the bread pudding as well, but only because the people at the next table had ordered the last one and were beyond kind enough to let me taste it. I'm glad it was the last one, otherwise I'd have been skipping the scale today. There wasn't one thing bad that I can say about Coast Seafood. Make your reservation, they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. A hidden gem is the best compliment I can give. Just don't keep it to yourselves, we want them to thrive! A little background on the owners. Blair and her daughter Lexe have been in the catering industry for decades. It is truly a family business, and even Sam, the amazing server we had, is Lexe's best friend. Think of being invited to Blair and Lexe's house for dinner, and you'll get a sense of the hamishness.

Great service, food is excellent with beautiful presentation. Simple, clean amd inviting, the way a family owned restaurant should be.

    Artichoke appetiser.

Had to try this place after hearing some folks saying how good it was. Well not only did it not disappoint, we loved it and can't wait to go back! The decor reminds me of the seaside, the music was soft and relaxing, and the vibe was just right. One thing you need to know is that they do not offer alcohol yet. We didn't know this but thankfully we live close enough that I was able to zip home and grab a bottle of wine. When I returned my wife had ordered the artichoke appetiser and it was awesome ( I included a pic after I ate some- -I couldn't stop). We both had the Mahi over risotto and it was very, very good. Just when we were at the tipping point of overindulgence, we caved in to the cinnamon, apple bread pudding. Just kill me! The chef came out and said hello to us, her name is Blaire and her son Josh is there to help. Very nice people. This lovely seafood restaurant is on N. J Street right next to Rudy's and the Bamboo Room, give it a try you will love it! *Remember to bring what you want to drink, whatever it may be*

Incredible uncovered gem in lake worth. We stopped in randomly on a Friday night and were greeted warmly by friendly staff. We are so glad we took a chance. Everything from the greeting, to the menu, to the fact that it's (currently) byob, which was absolutely perfect for our group of 4. I strongly recommend the scallops, which came with super fresh mashed sweet potatoes and were grilled to perfection. We also loved the ahi poke appetizer and the market fish special. We will absolutely be back again, next time saving some room for dessert!
