Coordinated shipping with this company over 3 weeks in advance with a 5 day window to find a shipping transporter. 1st company had a break down, second on cancelled for some "unknown reason". Window to pick up vehicle passed. I had to fly someone to the location to get the vehicle and Coast to Coast refused to refund the $250 deposit. They did not meet the obligations - they wanted me to just leave the vehicle with the keys "somewhere" for a driver to pick it up. Not sure why they thought it was reasonable for me to leave my vehicle in a state I no longer live in and simply trust they'd pick it up. They cancelled 2 times and found someone 2 days after I needed it picked up - why would I trust it won't get cancelled again? And absolutely ridiculous they won't refund the $250. From start to finish the communication and accurate timeline presented was seamless. Cole set me up with my shipping appt for my Audi Q7. I had booked with another company and they completely failed as they kept pushing the date out saying they need to find a driver. Cole was transparent and said they low ball the price to get you booked then end up calling for an increase. If I hadn't called Coast to Coast, I would still be waiting for a date for my car. Thankfully Cole said my route is a very common and a driver would be found by Monday the latest. And he was true to his word. Monday morning I get a text that it was booked to be picked up and would be delivered to me by Thursday. And indeed it was. The driver Joshua is very professional. He takes before and after pictures of the inside and outside of the vehicle so there can be no discrepancies about the condition of the vehicle. I found that process to be thorough and protective of both the customer and the vehicle they transport. I'm so glad I went through them. read more

I chose Coast To Coast to transport my Audi SQ7 on an enclosed truck cross country. I specifically chose them because they were a carrier and not a broker. I made sure of this with my representative Katherine. She assured me they were a carrier and if it wasn't them picking up my car it would be their sister company who also had their own fleet. Once shipping time approached I received a text that an entirely different company would be picking up my vehicle. This made me angry because that's exactly what I was trying to avoid. I wanted to be able to know without a doubt who was transporting my vehicle and the reviews they had from others who had used their services. The night before my car was to be picked up I reached out to the driver whose information was sent to me by Katherine and the driver said they would pickup at noon. Minutes later I get a message from another number with a different name saying he's my driver and he will be there at 9am. This sent me into a panic because I don't know who's actually coming to collect my vehicle at this point and I feel like I'm going to be scammed. It's after hours and I have no course of action. The next morning I contact Katherine first thing when they open and I'm informed she sent me the WRONG driver information. It takes her almost an hour to get back to me and confirm that the driver who texted me that they were picking up at 9am was in fact my actual driver. (I'm not even going to get into why that wrong driver confirmed my pickup for noon when I wasn't even on his schedule). The company that ACTUALLY shipped my car was Z Trans. My driver was Muta and he was fantastic and personable and delivered my car within the time frame promised. Z Trans and Muta did a great job and I appreciate their work! I called company and just got voicemails. When I finally got a hold of someone they put me through to another rep that would "help me out". Just voicemails. If I can give this company zero stars, I WOULD. My husband and I were EASing from North Carolina to California and were in dire need of an Auto shipping company to ship one of our personal vehicle. After an endless amount of googling, we decided to settle with Coast to Coast. They told us that if we paid $1850 for the shipping, they would get our vehicle from North Carolina to California SAFE AND FULLY COVERED under their insurance. Since this was my first time using a shipping company, I gave my full faith into them to take care of our vehicle. I made sure that I asked all the right questions, yet I was still gaslighted and backstabbed to the max by them. On February 28th , 2022-we were told last minute that our trucker driver was changed to a guy name Tech from an outsource company called BID Inc. Tech told us to meet him at a Walmart parking lot where we entrusted him with our vehicle. He promised us as well as the trucking company that our vehicle would arrive to California between March 3-6 2022. Those dates worked perfectly well with my husband and I because we had plan to leave straight to California on March after he receives his DD214. On March 4th, our trucker Tech had reached California (we were tracking this through our apply ID) and had noticed that our vehicle had been placed in a warehouse. We called the truck driver all weekend from March 4th to March 6th to ask him why our vehicle was in a warehouse but we had no luck in reaching him. On March 7th, my husband called the company to ask about his vehicle because it's a day late from the promised dates. The dispatcher spoke details about how the owner was complaining and if the vehicle was okay. My husband was taken a back and when he told the dispatcher that he WAS THE OWNER of the vehicle, the dispatcher panicked on the phone and proceeded to tell my husband that the car was on its way to our designated location and then proceeded to hang up. My husband and I tracked the location of the car and noticed that our vehicle was less than 150 miles away from us at this point since we have been traveling across country all weekend. The trucker, my husband and I were racing towards our designation at this point. Sadly, the truck guy reached the destination an hour before us and my brother in law signed it away not knowing the conditions of the vehicle. When my husband and I arrived, he noticed that his exhaust and suspensions have been damaged severely. I called the Bid Inc but I got gaslighted, cussed at and told that it was not their problem anymore since we signed the contract. I then tried contacting coast to coast auto about this and even filed a claim but they claim that they can't do anything about it because we "signed" it off as no damage. Fucking bullshit. As well as "we cant tell if it was pre-damaged or not." In the photos attached to this review, the tow truck was RED. On the exhaust--there was red marks and obvious damage from the pulling cables. We gave all our savings into this company and they fucked us over. I am beyond disgusted and I feel so violated. DISGUSTING COMPANY!! read more

Updating my review again as owner still has not helped to resolve issues, more than 6 months after transport/damage. Not sure if my original review still shows here, but long story short, this company as dispatcher hired a guy who had no current insurance, to transport our vehicle across the country. Driver then proceeded to DRIVE our vehicle 2,800 miles instead of transporting it on a truck as agreed. When we discovered this, damage caused by this unauthorized drive was estimated at $10,000. We also would like our $2400 for transport back on top of that, plus some other odds and ends like depreciation of vehicle. The driver was hired by Coast to Coast has been completely non responsive and apparently speaks no English (oh and also a quick Google search of his company name shows prior issues with drunk driving and incompetence, so why they hired him I do not know!)... Owner Paul of Coast to Coast keeps telling me he "wants to help" and "filed a claim" with the company that checks insurance for him, but has not done anything to pay for the damage or refund our money. Also, Coast to Coast ONLY has insurance coverage for vehicles transported on their own trucks... so DO NOT let them farm out your business to another driver unless you see that driver's certificate of liability insurance, and personally call their insurance company to make sure their coverage is still current / any grace period will not end until well after your transport jobs is done!! read more

This review is for an auto shipment from Los Angeles to Portland on a non-enclosed truck. Prior to selecting Coast to Coast Auto transport, I spent several hours researching auto shippers. I have never used an auto shipper before, and was skeptical of finding a reputable company given the many "middlemen" sites such as uship.com. I decided NOT to use a middleman service (which most sites are), due to wanting direct interaction with a company that managed its own drivers and trucks. I used a combination of Google searches, DOT government site and movingscam.com to put together a list of what appeared to be reasonably reviewed companies. I then asked for price quotes via each company's website and in some cases had follow-up phone conversations with company representative. Coast to Coast ended up being a thousand dollars less than other quotes due to having a weekly truck that goes from San Diego to Seattle (with Portland being a stop on the way). Overall my interactions with Cory at Coast to Coast were good. I was conscious of following up several times to lock down all the details, and called 2 days before the scheduled pickup to make sure I knew when the driver would be in touch. (I'm a bit obsessive in ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks). The driver arrived within the several hour window that had been specified, inspected the car and loaded it onto his truck. The driver was friendly and very amenable to accepting the contact information for a friend that would be receiving the car for me in Portland. Overall, my recommendation is to put some effort into ensuring all your shipment needs are mutually understood. My experience with Coast to Coast was much better than I expected (given the reviews of auto shippers in general that I'd seen online). I found them after hours of research and losing a $100.00 deposit to another disreputable company "Auto Transport 123". These folks were responsive, answered every e-mail in a reasonable time, were accurate with their delivery dates and very good at updating you with delivery information. In my case they brought a Pick up truck from Bainbridge Island Washington to Monmouth County NJ and were actually a bit earlier than their original commitment. I had a worker of mine hire these guys to live a vehicle for a production shoot we were going to do. We had paid for the vehicle and needed it moved down in a timely manner and these guys said they could do it. They sent us an email confirmation and then we never heard back from them. Given the holiday weekend we figured we wouldn't. But after trying to contact them on the phone over and over again we started to worry. Finally got thru only to be greeted by the co owner and wife of the owner in the most rude and disrespectful way possible. She was yelling how they couldn't get a hold of us, well as it turns they're employee wrote down the wrong phone number. After speaking to the owner who at first seemed like a level headed guy, but then turned out to be just as idiotic and rude as his wife, we tried to figure out why this happened and what could have been done to fix it. Turns out their driver picked up the vehicle and it had a small leak, the driver said it could be a "turn of a screwdriver" fix and it would be done, apparently the owner wouldn't have that and held my vehicle hostage for $250. So they don't inspect the vehicles they pick up, then if something is wrong they won't deliver it and expect someone else to fix their fuck up. I said they could have emailed us or gotten my number from the person they got the vehicle from, but they just kept insisting that it was the customers fault that the number was wrong. So now I'm out about $6k on this vehicle that I bought and now don't have. I'm thinking of reporting it stolen and calling my lawyer because these guys took it and won't deliver. It's very upsetting that a "reputable" biz will treat paying customers like this. But karma will come back to them hard. It always does. So don't use this company for transportation of anything. They will pretty much steal your vehicle, blame you for their faults and treat you like shit. Just look at they're other reviews. It's starting to show. Found them through a Google search for car transport. Was contacted by a rep, who quoted me a good price to move my wife's Toyota Corolla from Atlanta to Iowa City. Arranged for pickup from Atlanta on a Saturday. Waited at the house all day Saturday and Sunday. Called rep Monday, was told that he would research with Dispatch and find out what happened to my order and would call back. Tuesday, I had to call the rep, was told that "Central Dispatch says you booked another company," which is straight-out untrue. I told the rep as much and he said he'd check back with Central Dispatch and call me right back. He did, then told me that they were trying to find a driver to pick up my vehicle and that he'd call me back around 2pm to 3pm. A few minutes before 5pm, I called him back and he told me they were still trying to find a driver for my vehicle. I informed him that he had until 10AM Eastern time Wednesday to call me back, one way or the other, and that I also have an unpredictable work schedule, which is why I asked for it to be picked up on Saturday to begin with. I let him know that if he did not call me by 10 AM one way or the other, I would go with another company. Shipped my car from Utah to Wisconsin. The whole process went fine but Ronna kept giving me wrong information which was annoying. For example Hunter told me to expect the truck to come and pick up the car on a specific day. Then Ronna calls me and says the truck is coming a day early. I made arrangements to have it come that day but it didn't come. It still came on the same day that Hunter told me. Then Ronna tells me that it is too inconvenient for the truck driver to come to the mall with a big parking lot near my neighborhood to pick up my car and they said they want me to drive to the city further north because they already have another customer loading there. I had to make more arrangements so that I could get a ride because this place was too far away for me to walk back home. You would think with how much they charge for auto transport, they would be a little more customer focused. After the truck was on its way, Ronna kept giving me incorrect updates. Thankfully the truck driver contacted me directly with the correct updates. There are a lot of scam shipping companies out there but Coast to Coast is one of the few good ones that I would trust to ship a vehicle. read more

I wound up with Coast to Coast transporting my vehicle after brokering with another company. They picked up within an hour window as promised and dropped off at the exact time we discussed. The driver was courteous, professional and a pleasure to deal with. He originally was going to deliver first thing on a workday, but I told him I needed to work and he changed the schedule to drop off in the evening prior instead. Very flexible. The price was fair. The car was in the same condition as when it shipped although a little dirty from being on an open carrier - this is to be expected. I would hire them again. Their trucks are huge (90 feet) and they will likely need you to meet them somewhere with a lot of space - parking lot, etc. - nearby. This worked out fine for me, but you should plan for this when scheduling pickup and delivery. read more

I liked them because they are the actual transport company--not a broker--the price was very competitive, and their communication is very clear and prompt. It is easy to reach someone by phone or email and they are very responsive. During the move, we did run into two small issues with pick up and delivery. The pick-up issue was mostly a miscommunication regarding the day, but they were able to work with me and it ended up being no problem. The delivery issue was more complicated and the car delivery ended up being delayed about a week. Despite this, I would still give them 5 stars because they were so good with communicating the issue and also doing their best to make it right. Mistakes happen and I really feel that this company did everything they could to fix it and get the car to me as soon as possible. In addition, everyone I talked to at this company from the customer service department to the drivers were helpful and friendly.
