This review is mostly for me to come back to once I try more. I've been here on three separate locations and still haven't tried any of their food. That is completely my bad. Will judge that soon. One of the days I visited was an understaffed, Saturday morning with a shortage of ingredients. We were unable to try any seasonal beverages we wanted because of this. I will say, I have thoroughly enjoyed a regular coffee (Carolina Gold?) and dirty chai tea. The seating area could use a bit of an update and proper organization/storage of magazines, games, and the like. Just to make it a bit more tidy. The staff is very patient, hardworking, and communicative which increases my likelihood of return. I also need to actually try the delicious looking cinnamon roll. Why I didn't get it while there was a huge error on my part. When I do, I'll update my review.

Ordered food to go for lunch. Lunch gyro special was delicious. I got side of Cole slaw ...nice flavor with a mixture of cabbage, carrots and kale. Gyro was fresh and loved the fresh tzatziki sauce. The pickles were unusual start sweet then have a little bit of a bite at the end. When I arrived had to wait a few minutes but I enjoyed watching the people. Lots of tables and many were working on lap tops. Also had to pick up a cinnamon roll for tomorrow's breakfast.

We started coming here because my sons SLP is in the building and we fell in love with this local gem! Service is always great even when busy which it always is and we're there at lunchtime. The baked goods are heavenly. We've had cruffins, cookies, and scones! We also have ordered off the lunch menu and the sandwiches are huge and delicious! They also have a cute front outdoor seating area and large inside seating. The coffee is also always delicious with a seasonal feature. They are always busy with people picking up beans but I've always gotten a latte! It's become a greatly weekly treat and I love supporting the local business!

Coffee beans anyone? I love the choices! (Well ok, I haven't tried them ALL. )

Another visit, another 5 star. I love this place for its relaxed neighborhood vibe, for its wide and excellent drink offerings and bean coffee choices, and its in-house bakery. Perfect! Once you figure out what to order, and if your eating in, you'll grab a seat. Choices range from tables for 2, or 4, or many (a long table seating large parties or friends that maybe haven't met yet). A server brings your order over with a smile. Yup, the coffee and fresh baked goods are excellent. But what I really like is that I get a mood lift from Coastal Roasters, I always feel better after I've been. BTW, Coastal Roasters is fully accessible to someone in a wheelchair. Go!

I'm still trying to find good coffee shops in Summerville and came across this one. I love that they roast their own beans and make their own syrups. It is a very crowd and family friendly place and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered a blueberry scone and it was delicious. It was thick, not dry and not too sweet. For coffee I got a lavender honey latte. I would've liked it a little sweeter but it was still very good and balanced. Very cute shop that I will be back to!

Kids have games and crayons to keep them occupied and kid friendly treats like chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate.

Not only is the coffee quality amazing, the owner is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about sharing that knowledge. I came in because I got 2 batches of terrible burnt flavorless coffee from a very famous coffee brand. It was the last straw in long string of unsatisfactory coffee experiences. I vowed never to buy pre-ground supermarket coffee again. I came in wanting to try a light roast and love my way up. I now have coffee grinder and grind my espresso every morning. My favorite beans are the Sexy Seven and the Guatemala City. Start here if you want to up your coffee game. Side note the owner gave my kids a tour of the roasting room and explained the process to them, they loved it and thought I planned a field trip!

Located right in downtown Summerville. We came here to meet some friends for coffee for our first time. I got the Cuban cortado, it was delicious! We snagged a table outdoor and it was a nice ambiance. They have an assortment of different coffees from different countries and the quality was good. We also got a strawberry muffin and that was delicious. They brought our order out too us which was very nice. Definitely will continue to come here!

Was here yesterday for the first time after moving to West Ashley (Charleston) from Greenville. Really, really nice espresso place. Had a great iced mocha with an extra shot as it was getting hot out and I'd already had plenty of espresso. Wow. Really good as well the strawberry scone. (They were out of Blueberry which is my favorite) The scone was really, really good. As was the Lox on everything bagel I got to go. Not as great as some I've had in Manhattan or the city or some straight up Jewish deli's but better than almost any coffee shop bagel I've had. (Shout out to Jersey Bagel Brothers in Greenville - awesome bagels and Lox bagels sandwich's) There are a lot of tables here. Almost all had two or more people. Some working on laptops or iPads. Some just talking and having a nice morning. But the overall sound level was very decently quiet for all of the people there. Also there were more actual people working behind the counter than a lot of shops these days, and who were friendly and efficient and knew what they were doing so ordering went fast and smoothly. There were some Wall Street Journals and local magazines and papers which was nice. I bought 3/4 pounds of whole bean Espresso blend to take home for my DeLonghi. Really liked this place and will be back!

I wanted to support a small business so I headed to Coastal Coffee Roasters instead of making my normal Starbucks run. The customer service was great. The young girl at the counter greeted me immediately and offered assistance. They offer a variety of coffee beans, brewed coffee, espresso, pastries and breakfast items. I described the type of brew that I was looking for and was offered a sample of a coffee they thought that I might like, it didn't quite hit the mark for me in terms of boldness but she recommended that I try their "Sexy Seven" as it is the boldest brew that they offer. I am looking forward to trying that on my next visit. Opted for and Americano today and it was good. The caramel syrup (they make all of their syrups in house) was amazing. The customer service and the fact that they took the time to care what I wanted was refreshing. Note- They sell beer & wine as well.

We stopped in for some coffee after a race packet pick up. Upon entering we noticed several tables with adequate seating, a small area with different items for sale, and friendly staff. The coffee was good and the service was great. Can't ask for more.

Lattes are incredible and environment is peaceful! All farm to table

The best coffeehouse in the area. Great coffee and food but really it's the staff that makes this place so special. A real winning place.

Summit Coffee scores a three out of three for their interior space. (They do have outdoor seating; I'll be back in cooler weather for that.) What follows is the marching orders to all other places doing the same thing. Give me a McDonalds with from the 80s with an exterior that dared to be unique, not part of the 1984 (read the book) agenda. This brings me to Summit coffee; I absolutely hate the exterior. Devoid of life, soul and any unique presence. However, I'm not really here to write about a drab exterior but coffee! Let's go inside, shall we? Summit coffee establishment is located is on the outskirts of Nexton proper, easily accessible by foot and with a sterile atmosphere. One oddity I noticed is the place doesn't smell of coffee, which I found interesting. Sadly the inside is as lifeless as outside. It looks like a they paid a cleaner to remove all vestiges of life while only leaving a spec here or there to meet a quote. Ok, enough with aesthetics as I've complained enough, The staff is quick to help out and offer good suggestions when they're asked. Being a former comedian, I tried to whip up some jokes to compensate for my utter boredom, the ladies were nice enough to laugh. Needless to say, the women here had a heart. They made good suggestions but I was curious why their pastry display only had like a handful of items, did they make them or get them from the grocery store? I don't know but I was only here for coffee. I did like some of the creativity - a banana creampie latte - sounds like something.... Nevermind but all props for creativity. Birthday cake latte didn't sound good for the waistline but another attempt at creativity - I love it! But I opted to go for my own flavor. A lack of options for addins, I mean literally no hazelnut, almond etc. Well, I did the best I could - Latte with 2 shots caramel and 1 vanilla. I can honestly say it was "mid" at best. The roast didn't resonate while the lack of options made it feel so generic like I couldn't play the part of an evil scientist mixing a crazy concoction. But it beats McDonalds. Oh, they do have "the world's best granola" which I made several jokes about, even encouraging other customers by saying "if you were in France and ordered granola, they would talk about Summit's granola, after all it's the world's best!" Yes, I was being the overfriendly annoying customer, b/c I was bored. At least there were some laughs. Sadly, there's nothing about Summit that stands out. I hate saying that for local businesses but I want to be authentic. Stop by if .... Well, I'm not sure why so just stop by, I guess.
