My experience with Abe did not go as well as it has for others. I required the installation of three deadbolts, switching an existing lock with a digital unit and re-key for four locks. Abe had a matching color deadbolt on his truck however, needed to order the two remaining units, which took 5 days to receive. Upon his second visit to the house I discovered the colors of the deadbolts where not the same. Furthermore, he was missing a drill that was needed for one of the doors. On the third visit, more than a week later, the job was $800. In hindsight, the cost was more than $200 over similar jobs with the most expensive locksmiths, many of whom where asking below $600 for the same work and materials. Abe charged $90 for a lock that can be purchased at Home Depot for under $30. This was in addition to already pricey labor. For a "professional" the sloppy attire, lack of etiquette and willingness to charge the inflated prices was a serious character flaw in my opinion. It's true I failed to spend the extra time researching the parts installed and I fell victim. Don't be mislead, spend time calling around, ask for receipts and know what the mark up is. read more

Great Service!! I had an issue regarding my key and the front door of my house. Coastal Locksmith promptly sent a technician to my house right away! I was overly impressed with how quick they were able to respond and the level of organization the company is able to demonstrate. They were able to successfully gain entry to my house. I later enlisted their services to replace a multitude of locks on my property and they were not only fast and efficient but extremely mindful of my privacy and cleanliness. When comparing their prices against other companies here I was extremely surprised to learn that there is no overcharge for their services or products. Everything they offered was below the price of any competition. It is rare you find a quality company that does not overcharge just for doing an exceptional job. Their technicians are extremely personable and easy to work with and made what can be a hassle in most cases a walk in the park.
