If someone asked me if I'd recommend Coastline Pools i'd shrug and say maybe. I've had lots of construction done on my home and these guys were really on it for the most part. Sub contracting everything out which makes for plenty of weird third party communications about when people were going to be here and it always seemed like no one knew when exactly. they'd make promises that never really materialized, and some of these sub contractors were good, some were just kinda meh. ultimately the job got done in a timely fashion, the pool works, but the finish work was off in a few areas, and I tried to keep them accountable and on top of the things we saw that were just sort of ok during the process and it was always yeah for sure we'll get to that, they'd always miss something. well, I've been asking for a light to get fixed that was put in really poorly, 1 out of 8 and the rest are good. also we've been waiting for some general grout cleanup and finishing and I was originally told by Ryan that they'd get right on it. lots of texts that things would be taken care of and now they've just sort of ghosted me after telling me they'd get right on these last few very small things. Very strange. at the end of the day, I got a pool for a lot of money, they were not our cheapest bid but I trusted Ryan to get it done the best. did he? they did pretty good but there's room for improvement In the quality of workmanship. read more

I highly recommend Ryan and team. The entire build process was nearly seamless and the team communicated each step of the way. Design: Ryan visited the site and assessed our planned location and design. He then provided variations and suggestions to help visualize the final product. Super helpful and something other builders were not offering without commitments up front. This alone gave me confidence. Permitting: Far easier than expected and I'm sure largely due to the team and support staff. A little hiccup was resolved quickly allowing us to continue to move forward. Build: Coastline had the subcontractors they needed on call and available within very short time frames. As we moved through each step from excavation to rebar to plumbing to Shotcrete and then finishing with each inspection the team was ready for the next step. A minor issue with one inspection was resolved quickly and not the teams fault. Finish: Coastline ensured a beautiful finish and straightforward and easy final inspection process. Help the Coastline team move things along by having your choices for coping decided early in the process. All the subcontractors were excellent and knew what was expected by Coastline. After a number of estimates by other builders we felt most confident with Ryan and team. Every time we questions or any concern no matter how small the Coastline team was quick to respond and help explain and resolve any questions. Geologist Ralph Jeffery recommended Coastline. Coastline failed to follow instructions from geologist Jeffery, neglecting to compact the pool bottom to 90% or at all, leaving large stones all over the bottom. Jeffery then charged me for a letter telling the inspector his prior directive related to my sinking pool was no longer relevant. Jeffery protected Coastline. Further, the automatic pool filler doesn't work and the overall pump system failed with regularity because it filled with air. The pump system was fixed by me as I determined the filter did not have any lube at the gasket. The bubbler did not work until I complained about it. I still cannot change lenses for it because the bubbler wasn't installed correctly. Any lenses used in the future must be custom cut to work. Jeffery was issued a citation and fine by Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists as a result of my reporting him to them. He has yet to pay his fine or comply with their demands. My complaints to Kristy Bird of Coastline were met with threats which upset me greatly. Contractors State License Board will soon be in the process of preparing a reprimand and fine against Coastline. I submit that the fact Coastline did not compact the pool to 90% as ordered by Jeffery means they did not do two days work that I paid for pursuant to my contract with Coastline. The team of 6 men with each man working at the current reasonable rate of $400 per day is 6 x 400 x 2 = $4800 + 40% profit to Coastline or $1920 = $6720 that I should be refunded by Coastline. $6720 + the $350 I paid to Ralph Jeffery for a letter to correct Coastline's error equals $7070 that I should be refunded by Coastline at a minimum. Coastline had me pay for the 90% compaction in their contract then failed to provide it. I am due a refund irrespective of any damages for negligence. Further their breach of contract made the contract voidable. I should further be refunded for the automatic pool filler which has never worked and for the bubbler which wasn't installed correctly. The ports for the skimmer and automatic pool filler do not line up with each other, making the pool aesthetically unappealing. The skimmer does not work unless the pool is kept unusually low, which also destroys the aesthetics of the pool. Bird sent me her "plumber" to try and get my pool pump to work correctly. He didn't understand the concept of pool pumps to only be able to direct me to the YouTube video for the product and direct me to fix it myself. He did nothing to fix the pool filler. The plumber told me I had to keep the pool unusually low to get the skimmer to work. The crew that did the work were not Coastline employees but subcontractors that Coastline had no ability to drug test or control at all as they were independent contractors. Coastline lied to me when they told me that they were their employees. The crew also destroyed my fence because no one in the crew had simple carpentry skills. read more

Such a great experience working with Coastline Pools on my custom, pebble cocktail pool. I worked with Ryan, Jackie, and Lisa. All 3 were very responsive and were easily reachable through texts/calls. They kept me well informed throughout the entire process from permit submittal, dig, shotcrete, plaster/pebble. Timeline: I was surprised at how fast they were able to finish the pool. The dig started Oct 15th. And Ryan finished the pool Nov 30th. My pool was filled with water that morning! Pricing: I received 3 different estimates and Coastline was very competitive. Not the lowest or highest. Right in the middle. And very fair. Yet I felt I was receiving top notch service, labor, materials. The equipment and quality of the work exceeded all of my expectations. Coastline pool. 150k pool job the worst experience I've had in my life pour communication terrible customer service 90% of the workers no English over promise Job incomplete my family was referred to coastline by a friend , 1st contact person Lisa , she has issues managing job and controlling the workers a lot of miscommunication between her and contractors She couldn't get plans done properly through city , we had to step In and get that accomplished ! even though she hired a company to take care of it 2nd plans where provided approved and the team they had doing the work didn't read the plans properly so after digging the pool in a place that was not approved by city due to easement , of course it had to be relocated (smaller pool) yeaaaa 3rd They didn't Measure the concrete area properly ! And quoted us to low !! Guess what !!!! up charge !! We had to pay for their mistake 4th Damage to front yard ! They used their tractor on my grass instead of street! They dug so deep in , to the point they destroyed the grass and sprinkler system. Ryan said he would repair , He sent a gardener out to give estimate After that was provided I didnt hear from him .as I'm getting cited by the city ! i reached out to him ,and he advised (I never said I would fix it ) well I have a text that says u did !! And if that was the case why would you send a gardener out give estimate for the work ! 4th Orlando aka Christian he used a few names The main worker the only English speaking contractor attempted to get side jobs lol He also promised certian things would be taken care of at no charge ! And later Lisa tells us , oh theirs a charge for that !! He shouldn't have told you that ! Ok we had to eat it 5th Tile job , terrible cuts on corners of pool stack stone ( took 3 different guys 3 different trips to get done properly ,fire pit grout line not even, not strait bad tile cuts another 3 attempts to get right I've had the pool a year stack stone on pool falling off 6th The job is not complete ! They ran pipe for electrical for outdoor kitchen never actually ran the electrical smh 7th Pool equipment plumbing was not done properly didn't pass inspections as well as they didn't hook my solar heater up! burnt the mother board on my equipment They did fix and we passed But the list goes on The list goes on and on 150k pool job read more
