All I can say is WOW!!! Such a beautiful outcome to a stress free project. We chose PPP after seeing my cousins pool that they did and after talking with Rich it was an easy decision to go with them. Pacific Paradise Pools Joint decision to select PP for our pool remodel and equipment update. The pool badly needed to be resurfaced and also had black algae. Our decision was to go with a pebble product. This project was started during Covid then put on the back burner. 2024 project was revisited and this time equipment update was added. Got 4 bids. Several bids were reobtained from Covid time and several bids were from different pool remodelers. Actually had the company selected for the remodel which was not PP. Each time we got a bid for the remodel with the equipment, we were dissuaded from what we wanted. We have solar on our roof and wanted to use that to heat the pool. Pentair makes a hybrid heater that uses for our purposes gas and/or heat pump. It got to the point we decided to separate the equipment update from the pool resurfacing. That is where PP comes in. Found them as a dealer on Pentair's website. Called them in for equipment quote. They did not try to dissuade but listened to our desire. We had educated ourselves as to what hybrid heater allowed us to do and discussed with Rich our intentions. He agreed that hybrid would work for us in Orange and would bid the job as WE wanted it and did not steer us toward gas only heater. He asked if we were doing anything else other than equipment update. Never hurts to ask. Told him we were updating pool to pebble resurface. He asked if PP could bid that as well. I thought why not. We were ready to sign with another company anyway so that part of project cost was approximately known. PP was not the cheapest and not the most expensive. We went with them because they were the ONLY company that bid the equipment as we wanted it. They bid a pebble product. The goal was Pebble Tec and yes it cost slightly more than non Pebble Tec. Once we made the commitment Rich came out with are remodel team, Kellie, Victor and the equipment installer. He made sure the team understood the project and verified with them what we wanted could be done. Kellie was our project manager and communicated what would be done and when. She gave me her cell number and would call back with a quick response time. There were several times we called her with questions about the job and she would come out. Once the remodel was done, it was time for equipment update. The equipment was installed and Victor now took over. He made sure everything was working. He sat down with us and made sure we could control the pool equipment on our phone. He also gave us his cell number for any pool equipment issues. As Kellie and Victor both say, you are a PP customer for life. We are both happy with our decision to go with PP. Pool remodels and equipment updating are an investment which we did not take lightly. Wow! Where to start! My wife and purchased a new home in 2022 and it had a pool that had not been done, kept up, or remodeled in prob 30 years. We decided to take on the adventure of remodeling our pool and surrounding backyard. We contacted several well reviewed pool companies but we decided on PPP because they made us felt comfortable from the get to go, could tell they were very knowledgeable, and they were very honest. Now I will say that there quote was about 10-15% higher than the other contractors we contacted. But as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for! And boy did we get exactly what we were looking for and then some! Their whole team from start to finish was unbelievably professional, courteous, reliable, responsive, and their craftsmanship and work was astonishing. I've worked in construction for over 15 years and I could tell right away these guys ran a tight ship and were not messing around. And let me tell you, we had a lot of little changes that we wanted to add or deduct during the project and they were very easy to deal with in that regard and went above and beyond the normal scope of work to make sure my wife and I were satisfied. They also exceeded our timeline by almost 6 weeks which my wife and I were thrilled about because our pool was completed right before the big holiday season so all our friends and family were able to see it and enjoy it. In the pool industry beating timelines usually never happens. We heard so many horror stories before beginning this process so it was surprising to see how fast these guys moved. I interviewed several pool builders and I ended up going with Rich, owner of Pacific Paradise Pools. Rich was very experienced, detailed and thorough and seem to have a good team behind him. Rich was also local and seem to know the regulations for Huntington Beach pretty well. Although his price was a bit higher than some other pool builders, it seemed like I was going to get the best pool for my money and things would be done right the first time. The construction crew came in and got down to business right away. We pretty much had our old pool gutted and the backyard demolished and we started from scratch. We added a Spa and a Baja step. Rich worked within our budget and we were able to transform the backyard into a tropical dream. It was very nice to work with Kelly (project manager) who kept us updated on any important schedules and dealing with the inspectors. I had Kelly and Victor (site manager) on my text and they would reply back to me quickly with any questions I had about the project. There were very few delays like, waiting for the city inspectors to come back, but that was minimal. Bryce (materials guy) was very helpful in helping me pick the right colors and pebble tech and materials else that matched up so perfectly. The construction crew was amazing and worked so hard every day when they were on site. I want to give a special shout out to George the Masonary guy who pretty much did all our concrete, tile and all the special touches he put into our pool. It is really amazing to see how hard these guys work and how much pride they put into their jobs. Victor was also one that was our right hand guy when we needed anything to do with the pool and the set up and the equipment. It's funny but we miss seeing the crew here daily. We had a deadline of July 4 to celebrate the new pool and Victor and Kelly did everything possible to make it happen. We love the new pool and spa and I appreciate all their time and hard work they put in to dealing with us and making her backyard dream come true. These days we have been spending a lot of time in our pool and spa and I cannot be happier with the outcome. I still call or text Victor for any questions and he always comes to the rescue. I would highly recommend Pacific Paradise pools to anybody that is looking for a quality /dependable team to work on their pool or backyard project. Pacific Paradise Pools just completed the pool installation in our backyard and we are very happy and satisfied. The entire process was smooth and quick, finishing almost a month ahead of schedule. I really appreciated how Jay did not pressure us during the design phase. He was very transparent about the cost of adding certain features and if they were really needed. He did not push unneeded features just to increase the price. He did a great job designing a pool that fits nicely into our backyard space which is not a standard shape. Everyone we interacted with during the installation phase was top-notch and went the extra mile to make sure things were done properly. They kept me updated on the schedule, what would be done, and when they would be showing up. What I really appreciated was that if I reported something that needed to be done, they took care of it right away within a day or two without having to follow up multiple times. They even pointed out some things I had not noticed that they wanted to be fixed because they have such high standards and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. I specifically want to recognize Tim, Lee, and Victor who were all outstanding and a big reason why the project went so smoothly and we were so satisfied with the result. I am looking to build a pool for my business in my parents backyard. I have gone through the city for all official permits and licensing. I called this company after seeing their sign in a front yard in my parents neighborhood. When I got a call back, I believe it was Rich I spoke to, was extremely unprofessional and rude. He first told me that there's a bunch of licensing and whatnot I need to get from the city so I'm not shut down. Seeing as I've had my business open for a year, I am aware of what I need, especially since I've already spoken to the city for moving my business to a home property from a commercial. He then began talking about how he's been in business for so long, he's amazing at what he does, and was not so humbly bragging about himself and his work. I told him my mom (the homeowner) was getting a few bids from a few companies just to compare and see who can provide what we were looking for, for the best price when it came to materials and customer service. We're willing to pay more for a company that respects what we want and is happy to work with us. He then told me that he wasn't going to wait in line behind other contractors and it would be a waste of his time. I told him, in respect for my parents and myself , I didn't think we would be a good fit and hung up. As someone who owns a business I can't imagine telling someone they would be a waste of my time, even if I thought my goals and theirs were on opposite ends. We met with companies who have won awards for their pools and work who were far more humble and accommodating and willing to work with us, knowing we were getting multiple bids. My best advice for Rich is be a little more humble and allow your potential customers to look at other companies. If your work is so great, you would stand out and they would pick you, right? read more

They drained the pool and left it so long that we were told we would need to acid wash. At our cost. We believed you so we agreed. But then other pool contractors told us that it needed it because it was left without water for so long. So no. They are a construction company so be prepared to advocate for yourself, follow up on any changes made throughout the process as they are very busy. We changed our entire layout per the city and I had to ask a few times for updated renderings, I found that to be a bummer as it would seem standard to me when changing plans with a client. Overall communication could have been better however like I said, I fully understand as they are in high demand. I would say they are a 5 star pool building company as any time I saw something not perfect, they came quickly to fix or make right. A five star company from start to finish. We met with other companies before deciding to go with Pacific Paradise. We were told by two other companies that they could complete our remodel in 5 weeks for a graduation party we wanted to throw for our daughter. Rich was our last contractor to meet with us. After explaining the steps involved in the job, 5 weeks promised by the others seemed impossible. Two weeks for plan check, time for the gunite to cure, various stages of masonry and so on. We felt the others were going to over promise and under deliver. 8 weeks was an expected time frame as explained by Rich. We signed with Pacific Paradise to do our remodel. Rich came up with a great design that satisfied our wants. They are detailed and trustworthy. From start to finish, we had people working everyday on our backyard transformation. Every step was done to perfection. Not my words but the words of the inspectors. There was not one correction that needed to be done. The finished job far exceeded our expectations.
