After describing the job, I was given a verbal quote of roughly how much it would cost. Of the 4 quotes, one was several thousand higher than the other 3. To find out that my beautiful home in the Tower District has an old asbestos roof was a horror!! I knew this was going to be a huge hassle to properly dispose of this material but CVE was the correct company for the job!!! Greg walked the property with me the day prior and told me the game plan. The next day the crew should up ready to work and started to prep the jobsite. They did everything by OSHA standards and tarped the windows and draped the floors to begin tear off. They were also properly tied off to the roof and wearing all necessary PPE for the job. Overall it took them 3 days to complete my roof since the pitch is so steep but they handled it with easy!!! Friday was their last day of work and I was nervous that they weren't going to finish in time but boy I was wrong! They packed up all of their gear and cleaned the surrounding area. There was no debris or nails any where around my house, it looked like they were never there!!!! We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. Craig had came out to take a look at our closet…read morewhich developed surface mold due to moisture and lack of air circulation in the corner and helped us understand if there's other sources of water/moisture/leaks we need to be worried of. We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.

Alliance Environmental was hired Sept 2025 to remove asbestos prior to the demolition of the house…read morelast week in Sept 2025 after which the ownership received letters from Environmental Protection Agency (Gov) on how the disposition of the asbestos was done, quantities etc all technical stuff which we/clients have no clue that is why we hire " professionals". The clients/us wrote two emails to the Alliance Environmental Group LLC David Mouser twice in October Nov 2025 see attached asking what we need to do and David Mouser never responded " claiming now May 2026 ...that it went to his Spam" My email never went to his Spam when David Mouser got paid close to $5000 for the job..October 2025. Client/Us got final Gov Environmental Agency warning on April 2026 and escalated in April 2026 to David Mouser Manager, Patricia Smrz and Tammy Hurley. Clients/us filed the questionnaire with Environmental agency/Gov May 2026 which charged us a Penalty of $125 for late filing. This fee should never be on us/clients is only due to Alliance Environmental Group LLC ignorance. Client/us never File those forms I never did one in 16 years and now supposedly Clients have to do it as it changed in the last year so nobody told us that this is the case till April 2026. Unprofessional losers considering that non compliance with State Environmental Agency could be criminal in nature besides fines and penalties. Alliance Environmental had just to tell us " File it yourself" that is it. A bunch of losers. Stay Clear. Highly Unrecommended.
