The only things that stood out in the report were: "I'm not an electrician - so can't report on.... I'm not a plumber so I can't report on... I'm not a hvac specialist so I can't report on..." end of the day, there was nothing in The report except all fluff and no stuff. We had a terrible odor in our house and knew there was a dead animal somewhere under the house. Jonathan went under the house and found the dead animals and also checked the attic. Brandon has done a great job listening to what I want and responding. I love my spiders and other critters in the back yard so I don't want everything sprayed, but it is necessary to spray around the house. Just received a inspection report from Western Way Home Inspections (under same company) I've never seen such a poor home inspection report written by a " Professional Home Inspector". I've just read through 35 pages of pure garbage, almost every page is prefaced by "We are not professional roofers/plumbers/electricians", like I get it, but can you estimate the condition of the roof/electrical/plumbing systems instead of saying stuff like - "We recommend you keep the gutters clean" - "Most of the drainage pipes were hidden within the walls" - "Door: Appears functional" - "It's your job to know where the main water and fuel shutoff valves are located" They didn't even bother to identify where the main water shut off valve is, the report is so sloppy and rushed, I'm getting triggered just reading through it. read more

Excellent work and customer service! Overall, would highly recommend for getting a pest problem actually dealt with. My husband contracted Western Way to address a bird problem that's been affecting our solar panels and posing significant health hazards due to large quantities of bird droppings in our yard. Initial bird pest inspection went well and Daniel provided a clear understanding of the options we had, as well as some suggestions on how to approach our problem, and brought up other issues we hadn't considered. Daniel has been excellent in maintaining clear, transparent communication with us and in making sure our needs were heard and met. Like other reviews have stated, Daniel is an outstanding professional and takes very good care of his clients. When we had a little hiccup with the initial work done, Daniel was quick to resolve the problem, provided full transparency on the situation, and got things back on track. We were also appreciative of his team member, Jonathan, who was diligent in getting the work done installing netting on our solar panels, bird spikes, and placing several additional deterrents for extra measure after we noticed that there were still lingering birds near our roof. Both Daniel and Jonathan were prompt and accommodating with getting follow-up work done, especially as birds migrated toward a different section of our roof. Results have so far shown their solution is effective as we're seeing a significant reduction in bird droppings due to birds moving away from our home. In general, we're very satisfied to know that Daniel and Western Way will be responsive to our feedback and ensure our pest problem is actually resolved, rather than just getting some work done, taking our money, then disappearing like other companies might do. I highly recommend the service here. The inspectors are knowledgeable and go the extra mile for their clients during the inspection process. They are honest and straightforward-- they informed me that the property was fumigated in 2020, so no further treatment was needed, which helped us save money. A guy came out to my home and inspected the attic, inside the house and around the perimeter. He poked a hole at a place outside and droppings fell outside which he claim to be from termites. I have been with Western way for about 2 years. They have amazing services at an excellent price. They are very professional and do a wonderful job keeping my home protected from unwanted bugs. More recently I have had a mild infestation of paper wasps. Western way were very helpful and came over to take down the hive. UPDATE 6/8/24: After I posted my review, the estimator kindly reached out to me and explained that rescheduling due to my daughter's unexpected hospitalization meant that subcontractors would be used. Honestly, I don't recall discussing whether the rescheduled dates would involve their own team or subcontractors. However, I was under a lot of stress at the time, so I might have missed it. So maybe most of the time, the insulation isn't subcontracted out. Just ours was. ANOTHER TIP: On the day of the insulation, it would be wise to cover any upholstery you have, as shavings from the insulation may fall through the lights. If I had known, I would have thrown sheets over everything to make cleaning up afterward easier. read more

Fumigation takes a lot of prep work. Unfortunately, there were a few miscommunications about the prep which resulted in some losses that could have been avoided. The owner, Chris, was kind enough to reach out and compensate for some of the things we lost. Chris seems to care about the work that he does and his clients. I had a nest of paper wasps under one of the windows. I'd seen them buzzing around but couldn't figure out where they were coming from until we had our windows cleaned, and out they came. They stung one of the window cleaners and when the cleaners were showing me where the nest was the wasps got me too. Man, that hurt. I reached out to Western Way and another service. Abel was our inspector and it was his honesty and patience that tipped the needle in favor of going with them for our termite treatment. Scheduled an appointment only to have the technician call and give a different time. Then the office calls me to, basically call me a liar about when the appt was scheduled for! It's really annoying because the company called me the night before and CONFIRMED THE TIME OF THE APPOINTMENT!! If they needed to change it, they could have done that with the confirmation. But I get it, the CSR needs to cover herself for her error and what does she care if the company loses new business? However, I live far from the property that needs treatment AND I have a job, I can't make the new time. Unreliable and untrustworthy are what they have shown me today. Why would I use them for actual work? I would always be worried that they were cutting corners or doing sloppy work. Western must be doing so well, they don't need new business. This company did an inspection on my home, but they put my realtor as a property owner. When I called to ask them to change their typo, the receptionist was very rude. Mistakes like that should not be made. Very unprofessional. Now I have to order another inspection with my name on it, I would never recommend them or use them again. Update...2 days later...
