Disclaimer up front. This place is dated and could use a facelift and you must bring your own chairs. That said... The pool is huge and the water slides very fun and efficient (wait times are short). I took my granddaughter for a weekend swim and we both had a great time. The water slides are the bomb, especially for a local pool that is not part of a theme park. The pool area is large and even on a weekend we had plenty of room to swim and horse around. They allow beach balls and small pool toys. The pool offers fun for all age kids - the baby pool has mushrooms and slides and there is even a mid size slide for kids too old for the baby pool but not ready for the big slides. All of the lifeguards we encountered were smiling and friendly. The snack bar has a wide variety of ice cream, drinks, and unhealthy fried foods (fries, Snickers, Twinkies) and service was fast and efficient. The inside eating area has lots of tables but is very dark. Now for the things that need improvement: Bathrooms are dingy and old, but not unclean. The party deck wood is old and I would worry about splinters. They have nice areas with tables and umbrellas to eat, but NO poolside chairs. Come on! For $20 weekend admission they should have chairs lining the pool area. The parking lot needs paving and spot markers, and the outside needs better signage to find the entrance. Even with all these negatives, I have to give 4 stars because my granddaughter had a wonderful time (she can't wait to go back) and the other patrons seemed to be having fun as well. read more

My husband was charged 4 admission tickets when he told Jennifer that there are 2 adults, 1 toddler, and an infant. As soon as he noticed that she charged for our infant, Jennifer turned around and didn't acknowledge him after the transaction was made. As soon as our infant woke up, we all went in and requested a refund for charging our infant. She was not friendly at all and said, " I DID ASK FOR HEIGHT". She did give us a refund after we showed her that we actually did have an infant not 2 toddlers. The staff do not measure the kids. There is no sign or anything of 32 inches. The staff "eye balls" the height of children. Only giving two stars because the kids had fun. Besides that we will not be coming back. $20 is not worth going to a "family establishment " that isn't so friendly. read more

We weren't sure we were at the right spot but, yeah, at the end of a little road and through some chain link fences sits a water park. Get there early if you want a decent spot. TAKE CHAIRS! This is a great little water park for people with kids!! The pool is less than 5 feet deep. Even on a Sunday afternoon it wasn't overly crowded. They had a nice snack bar with fried foods and drinks. I give this "water park" a very solid 4.5 stars! Apparently this place has been around for over a decade (some of my cousins say they have been, but years ago) but renovated it and added many attractions since then. My first time here was a few years ago with a friend. I had fun then, but there was only about 30 or so people there... It's a pretty large water park/pool area too. They have about 3 "baby" slides for ages 1 to 4, one slide for the bigger kids in the 4-10 range (although I went on it too.. hehe), and two slides for 10+ individuals who want a little more excitement. They have two "separate" pools; one for ages4 and under, then a divider for another pool right next to it that probably starts at about 3 feet and goes all the way to about 5 feet to the other end. For the thrill seekers, they do have one slide about 100-150 feet tall that drops at about a 75 degree angle, sadly I wasn't brave enough to do it, but it looked like fun! I went with some of my cousins and their little ones to this park yesterday and everyone had a good time. Partly cloudy skies and it wasn't too hot either. There was a TON of people though so be careful when going on a weekend and there's good weather. Parking can be a little tricky so try parking on the pavement side first. Prices aren't too bad for admission but they only take cash for food purchases. I think they use salt water instead of chlorine to tackle the germs so that's different. Overall, there's about a decent amount of places to plop down your stuff and head in to the pool. There's several picnic tables with HUGE umbrellas but gotta get there early. Me and my girlfriend just had a blast hanging out and playing with my little cousins. My favorite thing there was that they had this 6 foot tall umbrella with waterfalls coming down from all sides. The hours are 10am-5:30pm, 7 days a week and the price is $15/person. YES - that includes people who are not going to swim. Everyone who enters through the doors MUST have a ticket. Children under 32 inches are FREE; staff measures the small children and will let you know if your child needs to pay the $15 for admission. There are $2 off coupons that can be printed from their website, but the coupons MUST be printed. NO ELECTRONIC COUPONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE WINDOW. The admissions office closes at 4pm; therefore NO new tickets are sold after 4pm. If you arrive with a positive attitude and aren't confrontational, the staff in admissions is very pleasant and willing to answer any questions you have. Smoking seems to be acceptable here to I could smell it the whole time I was in the pool. Think it being a kid friendly place they would watch what some people wear. My friend and I wanted to go to a water park, but didn't want to drive all the way to Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens....so we Google'd and decided to visit Cobblestones. It's a $12 all-day ticket for adults, which isn't a bad fee, but there's really not too much going on here. The water park itself isn't bad, the water is clean and there are a good number of slides for all ages, including two relatively high slides for older kids/adults. The foam mats used for those tall slides were worn down and some had insects stuck to them. It's a bit of a wait to go down the slides, even if there isn't a line. Considering the amount of time standing on the wood stairs, I would seriously consider wearing water shoes to avoid potentially getting foot fungus. The interior area is very very dark and really needs to be renovated. It's very drab looking with a bunch of plastic folding tables and chairs. There's a small concessions area to pick up a bunch of unhealthy foods like fried oreos. The bathrooms are even older looking and I also question how clean it was...definitely keep your shoes/flip flops on. TL;DR: the interior areas are run down, but the pool itself isn't bad. It's definitely a good place to take little kids as many of them were having loads of fun. Just make sure they wear water shoes and bring your own snacks and chairs. If your group is a bunch of teenagers and older, I'd recommend going to KD or BG instead. read more

The most important thing you need to know about Cobblestones is that no matter how good the overall experience is, it is dampened by the fact that in order to gain entry you have to deal with a horrible troll of a woman. We have gone three times, and each time she has been nastier than the last. We thought it was just us, but we've seen her treat other patrons the same way, and after reading reviews it's clear that she just has no customer service skills. Other negatives: All indoor spaces are dark and in need of updating. Both sets of bathrooms are old and smell overwhelmingly of deodorant but don't appear to be cleaned regularly. There are no lounge chairs around the pool. There are no play areas, just the pool. The snack bar closes at the whims of the owners. Hours for the snack bar are posted but it closes when they say it closes. There are lots of positives to this place. The kiddie pool is huge and has three slides and two waterfall mushrooms. It's clean. It's clean. It's clean. It's reasonable compared to Kings Dominion. Coolers/outside food are allowed. Overall, it's "okay" but the lack of amenities paired with the nastiness of the admissions lady makes me reluctant to recommend this place. read more

Why is it so dark inside? The pool is ok but overall it feels sketchy. There aren't any pool rules that we could see but that didn't stop the lifeguards from constantly blowing their whistles and pointing at people. I showed up at 4:05pm with my four year old daughter and they said nobody can enter after 4:00. The guy seemed to be on some power trip and told me I could drive to the ATM and come back with cash and he'd let me in. I told him i don't have access to cash right now but I'd buy a season pass with a card right then and there if he let my daughter and I in. He said it's not happening. It's a decent waterpark especially for the price ($12 for all day). It's great to keep kids of all ages entertained and it's definitely not overcrowded. The pool is clean, very large, and well maintained. They have about 4 slides for kids, one slide for "bigger" kids, and two larger slides that adults can go on. The interior and bathrooms are a bit rundown and definitely could use some sprucing up or remodeling. The bathrooms do not have any working lights and it's very dark. I would definitely recommend not purchasing food from here though. It is overpriced and basically, disgusting. You are able to bring in a cooler...so I'd recommending bringing snacks, drinks, and lunch. While they have a couple of picnic tables, I'd recommend bringing your chairs as well seeing as they're not any poolside lounge chairs. Wear swimming shoes! There is a sandy area that does not look too sanitary. Overall, I'd go back just for the swimming alone. I enjoyed the pool. read more

POSITIVE: Swim areas are huge with the added benefit of 2 huge water slides for teens and older . The other areas have age appropriate water slides for the smaller children. There is a floating frog and hippo in the center of the pool for children to climb up and sit on. NEGATIVE: My BIGGEST complaint is with the ladies restroom... It wreaks of urine! The toilets aren't cleaned often or enough with the amount of traffic that comes through the establishment. The changing stalls also wreak of urine and there were panty liners, diapers sitting nearby. The employee at the admission window is rude! She is NOT pleasant at all. This is what happens when you sometimes attend a family owned establishment... The employees do not provide good customer service because there isn't anyone to file a complaint with. :-/ Also, there AREN'T ANY lounge chairs on the perimeter of the pool so bring your own chair! We visit Cobblestones a couple times a year and we live nearby. I normally do not leave reviews but decided it was time. I take my 15 year old son and he absolutely loves it. The lady that takes our payment and gives us our ticket is always nice to us. Those that left negative feedback on her are probably angry because their kids are over 33" (she has to measure them) so they have to pay OR they caught her when she was just tired of all the BS she has to deal with on a daily, so stop whining about her! On to my review. The number of daycare bus loads that are brought into this place each day is high and should be limited somehow. I counted the vehicles today and there were at least 10, these are small armies! The good part is that most of them leave by noon, but there are still quite a few that stay. Another problem is people who smoke. No matter where you sit in the sandy umbrella areas, there will always be someone smoking, so be prepared for 2nd hand smoke. Management needs to wake up to this issue and get with the times, create a designated smoking area with signs. Although they have installed a new super slide, they still could use some other updates with the kiddie pool area and inside the ticket area. I realize this place is old but updates should be done. We do not buy the food because it is overpriced and greasy, not much variety. This is a place worth renovating for sure, we love it! My family and I went to Cobblestone on 6/24/17. I have read other reviews and wanted to give my opinion. We had read about the high food prices so we brought our own food and drink, which is allowed. I did not check out the ladies bathroom but from what I heard, it wasn't too bad. I had also read about the lady in front. I did not have any talks with her so I have nothing to say about that. Now onto the actual reason for going. The pool was great. There is a very large wading pool which my 6 year old nephew loved throwing a nerf type football around. There was enough room for him to do that and not be in the way of others. The other pool is about the same size and got to about 5 ft. They allow floats and such which is good. I was very impressed with the life guards that were manning the slides. My nephew was unsure of going down and they really worked hard at reassuring him and went to the end to catch him, if it was needed. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the price. I highly suggest getting there early so you get your moneys worth. If you enjoy it, definitely get the season pass. Yes, it is cheaper than going to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens or Water Country. read more

This place is okay. Pools are plenty big and were mostly clean. Employees at the entrance were a little gruff. Lifeguards love blowing their whistles. Might be a good idea to have one of them in the water near the frog telling kids not to move it and to sit down instead of having to blow their whistles 10 times before the kids pay attention. Or perhaps parents should pay attention to their kids and what they're doing and remind them what the rules are! Plenty of picnic tables under large umbrellas in areas outside of the pool deck but my biggest complaint is that there were no chairs around the pool. None! No lounge chairs, no pool chairs, nothing! Some people, who obviously had been there before, brought their own but how is a person who has never been there before supposed to know this? Maybe they should put it on their website?! It would have made for a better day for us since we brought books and magazines to read because we weren't planning on staying in the water the entire time. This place has so much potential... sadly the staff is completely incompetent and unapologetically rude. Greeted by a blonde girl in her teens with not only an attitude but she seemed to be uneducated on how to provide any type of customer service. We had asked multiple questions while preparing to checkout regarding costs of children, none of which were answered before hearing "it'll be $51, thanks" Later on we decided to get food from the concession stand, the girl serving us there was also in her teens with long brown hair, glasses, and because I remember how unprofessional I found this let me add she was wearing either no pants or booty shorts not visible while working in a kitchen. This girl was the one that made me almost make regrettable choices. After carelessly tossing the pen to my mom instead of handing it to her I threw it back and someone else took care of us... not that that was better. We received raw mozzarella sticks and when we asked for them recooked we were asked for our receipt and what time we had made it as if we brought it back from hours prior.. (it was the tone and facial expression that really got to me) we had ordered 3 minutes prior and I gladly showed proof. Finally get our mozzarella sticks remade correctly and over hear another customer ask for napkins. Instead of handing them some they pointed to the table where an empty napkin dispenser sat and told them they're right there. The guest explained they were out and the staff still just stood and stared. My mom literally had to hand them the dispenser through the order window for them to refill it. Honestly it's a bunch of teens and family so it won't change, you'll continue being served attitude with a side of cold, overpriced food. Kids will have a great time and the lifeguards take their jobs seriously, honestly that was my families only positive experience. Trash wasn't emptied at all from open to close so bees were everywhere. Charged us for a water for an infant and charged my nephews entrance this time but not a week ago? They pick and choose what the rules are and how they want to run the place on a day to day basis so good luck! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. While paying to enter the park the Woman behind the desk, on the phone neglected to give me tickets to enter. When I went back to the desk with my receipt she said she already gave me the tickets. After struggling with receipt in hand ( with time and date clearly printed) we were granted entry. Two hours later, a security kid asked to see our receipt. Infuriating. Also, not crazy about having bags searched and someone with the same plastic gloves in searching through our food cooler touching everything. Big thumbs down. Not worth the entry fee. First off upon entry to the waterpark, it looks like you're about to enter someone's backyard. Then you finally see the parking area once you go all the way through the gate. As you walk into the admission area, it's dark, smells musty, and the lady at the front desk thinks she knows everything. The park is at it's best, okay. One thing that set me off is that there was a Brown Recluse spider next to one of stairways into the pool. I blocked off the area and made sure people watched their step. My wife goes to tell one of the lifeguards and she is given a shrug as well a "And?" from that same lifeguard. You'd think safety would be a big priority as you know, you are one who guards life.... Anyways as we get ready to leave, my wife brings our 2 year old son to the restroom where she discovers absolutely filthy shower stalls. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY STAY AWAY!!!! This place is in the middle of a town the immediate appearance not so welcoming, you drive onto a gravel road with no indication as to which side you should park on. Three large trash dumpsters where in the left parking with large black barrels of I don't know what. There is wired fencing around the facility no privacy you could see directly into the place(hence I should have just got back into my vehicle, but after driving 1 and 30 minutes with kids I was just going to make the best of it). It's so confusing because there are no visible signs telling you were to enter the building, we had to figure out after going around in circles and observing people exit. We finally get to the entrance and entered into a very darker building with a large open space with round tables(almost like a rental hall) it smelled terrible as if it has been cleaned or aired out in years, SMOKEY DISGUSTING STENCH lacked appeal. Needs a definite remodel and serious housecleaning. We approached the payment window in which a old woman was at the register don't expect receiving pleasant greeting (not going to happen), she looks miserable as she doesn't want to be there. We asked her if they gave military discount before we could even finish the sentence, she quickly responded yeah but the $2.00 off coupon was on the website which is a LIE because we searched before hand. There was six of us total, so we handed her the $72 ans she gave 6 ticket(no thanks for visiting or coming nothing, just RUDE) then off we proceeded to the line in which two young teenage guy have white plastic gloves, they search through coolers and bags. I had a brand new glass bottles of banana peppers, he indicated that glass bottles were not allowed into the pool area no problem. He then instructed me to go to the concession stand where someone in there could provide me with a cup to pour it into. A teenage female was behind the window she kept walking back and forth, never once opened the window to acknowledge me not even to say they weren't open yet. After the young teenage guy who originally sent me to the window realized no one came to assist me, he then walked over open the window and asked the teenage female for a cup. We then start making our way out to the pool area and we are looking both ways searching for the supposed "PRIVATE BEACH". Talk about DECEITFUL Cobbelestones Water Park FALSELY advertises on their website it states "Private Beach" total LIE. What Cobbelestones Water Park has is pure pebbly stone with picnic tables and large umbrellas. The last time I check an actual beach was a pebbly or sandy shore, especially by the ocean between high- and low-water marks. There are three tables to every large umbrella, some of the tables and benches are rusted and bent. While setting up cooler and arranging tables, there were workers digging dirt and mowing the lawn so it was noisy. Then they even rudely passed with the lawn mower right by the picnic tables so pebbles flew all around. This is a supposed family friendly place yet people are allowed to smoke freely anyway subjecting non-smokers to inhale second hand smoke (people simply do not have the common courtesy to move themselves even after hearing kids coughing). Due to the limited amount of tables we had no other choice but to just move away as they smoke. There is a DJ tower not actually with a person it's more like a cd or ipod playing, but I will say there is a good variety of music for every one of all cultures to enjoy. The crowd was pretty diverse, however, you could tell this place was more geared to the locals some place for them to hang out. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, I would say pay a little extra and go to Splash Down Waterpark (only an extra $3.00 this place is way better yet, still within a small neighbor the upkeep very good, looks like an actual small theme park people are friendly), Kings Dominion, or even Busch Garden. I am even ashamed to mention that I had the nerve to entertain this Cobbelestones Water Park, but I felt like I owed it to possible future customers to not make the same mistake we did and avoid this place even if it is only $12.00. A family friend recommended that we visit the park for a day of fun. The rates were very reasonable and the lady at admissions even gave us coupons for our first visit. The prices at the snack bar were a little pricey, but we found out that we could pack a lunch to bring. The pool was clean and spacious with fun slides for every age. The staff was very nice and the admissions lady even told us about buying season passes for the next season. We had such a good time that we are purchasing passes for the family for next year. I used to love coming here as a teen, spent a lot of summers here playing volleyball in the water and sand. Unfortunately they did away with both of these in the early 2000's. The water is much cleaner now I must admit. The employees here used to be pretty nice and cordial I must admit, where now the adults running this establishment have the look of "I hate my life" every time I or anyone comes here. I just don't personally understand how people running a business can be so unhappy and rude year to year during summer, but the staff here manages to pull it off. The park itself is pretty nice and we'll kept. They could use the water volleyball net back or at least something for people in the water that might enjoy athletics on the adult side. Also, it's rather expensive to get into the park even with coupons, and they measure your child by height, in which my tall child was two last year and over their height requirement resulting in full price. I'm sorry, but it's a tad ridiculous charging for a two year old to get into a water park, no matter the establishment. read more

I came to this park when I was a kid when it was Overhill Lake and loved it...As an adult, when it became Cobblestone, I have come here with my older son who is nine for the past seven years. We even had season passes for a couple of seasons. It WAS a nice "easy" place to come swim with my small child, usually just the two of us. The pool IS very clean, huge kiddie pool with small slides and larger slides as he got older. However, the staff has always been somewhat rude, including the teenage lifeguards. The woman who sits at the front desk collecting payment is very rude, never smiles, nor greets anyone with a kind word and looks absolutely miserable. There is a young guy who also works the front desk who is a bit more friendly but not great. We only visited the park once last season as we have season passes to Kings Dominion and they have a huge water park as well. This past weekend, I decided to do something different and met up at the park with my friend and his son, and my two boys. My younger son is two years old and went last year one time. He was free last year and my older son was free until he turned 3 so I assumed my 2 year old would be free as well. Upon entering, I see a sign that measures young children by height for pricing instead of by age. I have never seen that before unless a child is trying to ride a ride at a fair or theme park. He measured a little over an inch and I was told that I needed to pay full price $15.00 for him. I had already paid $26.00(with coupons I had for me and my older son) on my credit card two minutes prior. We were stopped after she realized my 2 year old hadn't been properly measured. I told the guy at the front desk that I didn't realize that they charged for two year olds and that I couldn't justify paying 15.00 for a two year old child especially since they close at 5.00pm and it was 1:30pm. He proceeded to tell me that they don't give refunds and he could give me a raincheck!! I told him that I wasn't planning on coming back and that I wanted my money back as we hadn't entered the pool area yet. He kept telling me that they don't issue refunds.. I demanded that he give me my money back as the transaction just happened and I didn't know about the pricing for my younger son. The rude woman ended up refunding my money back on my card (only to avoid an upcoming scene I'm sure, lol) and the guy looked disgusted that he lost! I told him that I thought it was really bad business for them to treat patrons this way and he told me he was just following the rules. I told him the rules were ridiculous and we wouldn't be back. Long story short, they lost $52.00 (for all of us) all over $15.00 for a toddler.....because they were being rigid jerks with no customer service skills whatsoever! I can respect the rules and if it was the policy to charge full price for a toddler, that's fine... but because of that, I decided to leave and not go in. I just talked to someone on the phone and they were rude and had an attitude. All I wanted to ask was about the prices for non swimmers and swimmers. I was going to take my niece for a fun day out at the water park. But the rude phone call convinced me not to. While on the phone, the woman rudely told me to hold and talked to other people in the background. I could also hear laughter in the background as well. The staff were very rude on the phone and when i got there, there is no baby changing station, they told us to change a baby on a nasty wet dirty seat in the shower room, the bathrooms are so nasty! they were playing loud music in the kitchen with lots of curse words and all the children in line could hear it i had to talk to the manager it was the worse song i have ever heard and it was loud for everyone to hear and the poor kids! the (manager) lady working the front told me to make sure my child didn't go near the arcade machines inside the building because the storm knocked the power out and she didn't want my child to electrocuted{ um if its that dangerous why isn't there a rope or something up} they were rude to my parents when they called to get info. and the lady hung up on my mother, and when she called back the lady said oh i was done talking to you!!!!! something has to be done about the staff here!!!!!!!! i can not recommend this place to anyone! read more

$ 15 is way too much for this park. My great son is 2 yrs old and had to pay full price. Closing at 5:30 is ridiculous also. For $ 15 I should be able to swim ALL day. I can get discount tickets for Kings Dominion for $30 for ALL day and that is rides and swimming. read more

We like Cobblestones, and have purchased season passes in previous years. I agree that it's a little sketchy, and the woman who checks you in is super mean, but overall it's a decent place. The pool is huge and clean, the kiddie pool is great, and there's plenty of room to get away from the crowded decks. Pros: you can bring your own food (don't buy from the snack bar unless you want deep fried everything), you can bring a float, and there's plenty of room on the deck and even more room on the beach areas. Cons: rude staff, limited hours, no adult swim, no chairs, questionable bathrooms, loud music is played over the speakers (so loud it's hard to relax). The place could use some updating, but it's fine for a day at the pool. read more

We've been going to Cobblestones for past several years. We live about 30 minutes away so we make this a part of our summer vacation "tour" each summer (occasionally we'll go twice). It's $12 for the day unless you have the $2 off coupons that you can either print from their website or get in the blue pack of coupons that comes to you in the mail. Make sure you take one coupon per person - they won't count one coupon for your entire group?! 2 huge pools. Pool one is for toddlers/preschoolers. About 5 or 6 slides that are size and age appropriate. 2 "raining mushrooms". Other pool is mostly 3 feet or so but does have a deeper part on the far side. 2 slides: one blue tube that shoots straight down and a curvy yellow open slide. My boys are ages 15, 10, and 5. My 15 year old gets bored after an hour or so but my other two are content the entire time we're there. Sandy "beach" area surrounding the pool occupied by a cluster of picnic tables under colossal size umbrellas for shade. These go pretty quickly so if you plan on being in the shade you need to get there before lunch time. Last time we were there, mid - July, the tables under the umbrellas were all taken and people had to set up camp in the blazing sun. Lots of lifeguards. Pool is always debris free. I try not to frequent the bathroom as I hate ALL public bathrooms but on the times I have used it, clean yet wet from pool goers coming/going. You may take a cooler, we always do. Concession stand has usual burgers/hot dogs/fries/chicken tenders/ice cream. Pricey$$$$$$. No glass containers. They do play music over an intercom which we like. You can also bring your own pool chair / lounge chair. Daycare facilities have been there every time we've ever been but the pool is so large it doesn't seem over crowded. The daycares tend to stay in the covered picnic shelter on one side of the pool so they are not mixed in with the picnic tables on the beach area. Kids can bring pool toys. Great little water park. Packed our coolers and lunch and cut down on expensive parks that don't allow that.
