And the activities going on around there (drugs and prostitution) were definitely not something any law abiding citizen wished to be around. If you don't believe so Google it. If you happen to be someone who has the no care, no respect attitude and think you are above it all, don't visit the park. Most respect the park and want it to thrive for years to come so the children can enjoy it.

Been here a few times for tennis and just walking around. The park is usually fairly busy between…read morethe paths, the skate park, the kid's playground, the basketball courts and the tennis courts. It's a little distracting to play tennis there during peak times- there's a lot of activity between the planes, the highway, people smoking pot in the picnic areas, and once there were even kids on ATVs riding around loudly. Sometimes people blast music in the parking lot for absolutely no reason. For awhile there was a creepy old guy who lived in his truck in the parking lot and would make me super uncomfortable being there if alone, but he wasn't there the last two times I've been- maybe he has moved on. But overall, it is great that there is a place in the community for activities such as tennis and skating, and it seems to be well-maintained.

It's not a very long walking trail. It was good enough for what we wanted, just to get a good few laps in for exercise. At the time, the park was busy with people playing tennis and basketball. There were a few little league baseball practices going on as well. The parking is another story. If you do not get there at a decent time, you could end up parking along the side of the playing fields or in the grass outside of the park. Thankfully, we were able to get a parking spot. If you live in the area, it's a nice park to visit. Just be aware that after work hours during the week, parking could be an issue. On top of that, the park could get really crowded.

Because of the tall trees, you get plenty of shade while walking through the woods. I take my young children who can effortlessly conquer 3 miles of the trail without hesitation. It's an awesome nature experience hearing the birds chirp & insects buzz, seeing the small schools of fish being carried down the stream, the crawling creatures perfectly positioned for nature enthusiasts capturing photos. The park entry also allows you to use the open grass areas to picnic or grab a grill. The water is practically a beach area as I've seen multiple families lined up on both sides of the bridge enjoying the cool water. As well as my children and I. There's plenty of parking. The bridge is a highlight boasting wonderful opportunities for pictures with beautiful natural lighting. There's also some train tracks on the other side of the bridge perfect for photo ops but BEWARE! it is a functional and operating train track! My family and I can't get enough of this park. Which I did, and 15 minutes later we were at Jonas Green, and there were lots of spots available. Jonas Green is a small park, with a small and very calm beach -- perfect for our toddler. Like most of the waterfront around Annapolis, it has beautiful views, plus restrooms, grills and picnic tables, and a nice variety of people: couples, families, kids. Very family friendly and quiet. We loved it, and will definitely go back.

There is no hard top. This area is true wooded, wetland along Severn Run. You are allowed to fish and hike only. If you are going to fish right at the pull off feel free. However, if you are not a true, informed outdoorsman and dressed (boots & backpack) for the terrain, I would not advise you to go out solo nor far from the road. With that said, I may revisit. Note: There is mention of an established trail on-line but I did not see one from the directions I received.
