Best place ever for wings, they are fat and juicy. And they have an excellent choice in sides as well. I particularly like their onion petals which are far better than any onion rings that you may purchase elsewhere. Many different sauces to go with your naked or battered wings. The catfish meal is really good along with the coleslaw. I have ordered though door dash 3 times and they do not get the order right. Cocky's chargers for substitutes and do not give what you requested. If you are lucky you will get extra coleslaw. The fries are soggy like they have been soaking in water for hours. Probably the best Happy Hour in Prescott if not in Arizona, which happens here seven days a week from 3pm to 6pm. Draft and bottle beers $2, with margaritas and other cocktails also available. Chicken wings 75 cents each Wednesdays and Thursdays, chicken or fish tacos $3 on Tuesdays, other Happy Hour specials other days with a good general menu of other items. Sports and other programs abound on different large flat screens, the staff are very friendly and service is very good. A perfect example of the food services are going thru due to increase in minimum wage. Drastically reduced staff, bare minimum of selections. Made a point of going there for the first time due to Toasted other than fried chicken availability. Well they do offer Bakes chicken on Mondays only. No whole fried okra nor collard greens despite what the Internet showed. The super soggy fries were the convincing catalyst for us to throw out over 80% of the meal. That was maybe 6 months ago, shortly after they opened. 2nd time was ok, wings were fatty, but not too bad. Now today, they messed up on our order, took 30 mins to get the replacement wings, the wings are hairy on the outside, undercooked, and will give you an upset stomach. First time here... Only got 4 pcs in my 5 pc tender... I'm not upset about that as 2 of the pcs were HUGE and I'm sure I get a fair deal there. The mac n cheese was almost a soup, the fries were nice... a little on the thin side but had good flavor. Problem is, they are so thin that they loose heat quickly and turn into a soggy mush fast. The chicken either spent a long time under a heat lamp or was cooked and refried. It was tough and rubbery. I did like the cocky sauce... Ok. This place has done a complete 180 from the first time we tried to eat here a few months ago!!! Then we were never greeted and gave up after waiting 10 minutes.... Tonight: we were greeted immediately, helped by a very pleasant young man at the register, our food was delivered a manager, Kenneth- who later came by to ask if we were enjoying our meal. The food was really good: the chicken was cooked perfectly tender and crispy, the rolls are top notch and the fries are deliciously crispy and topped with a killer spice mix that was the bomb. I enjoyed my first visit to Cockys. They had only been open 5 days so I was patient. They had great staff ready to help you. The chicken was made fresh so you may wait a bit but that was totally fine with us. The chicken was good and flavorful. Very crispy. I will for sure be back to try more menu items. My only complaint is I wish they had paper containers for the to go items and not styrofoam. That could just be a new restaurant item though with all the supply issues. Started off a bit...hesitant. Not just because of the name of the establishment, but inquiring on the menu we were told some things are not available and/or going to be discontinued. Wait, this place JUST opened and it's already having some things not available? Ok...well...we went ahead and gave it a shot. We had an order of the chicken (bone-in) and catfish meals. To be quite honest, nothing spectacular. Both meals were good, but: 1) The chicken coating was very thick, 2) The catfish wasn't very flavorful without the tartar sauce, 3) The fries were soggy, 4) The cheddar biscuit was VERY small (about the size of a donut hole) and lacked flavour. There's a Popeye's up the road and a couple of KFCs nearby. This had better stand out. And it didn't. With a Church's coming "soon", I don't think Cocky's will last. The staff were friendly, though.
