Sammie's is one of my go to's when I want a great burger or awesome fries. The food is always excellent. The service is great and they make some of the best pulled pork I've had and I worked in Memphis for over a year and attended Memphis in May. Also when they have brisket, it is some of the best. I have a friend who comes from New Jersey to visit and when I asked where he wants to go, Sammie's is his first stop. The burgers are smash burgers, plain and simple - add Moab sauce. The Moab fries are to die for tallow Fried topped with pulled pork barbecue sauce and Moab sauce. Unless you are sharing get a half order. read more

Stumbled upon this place before heading out to the lake and I'm so thrilled we did. I haven't had a smash burger in years, I always loved them but I never was able to find one that I would really remember. THIS ONE I WILL REMEMBER. the double cheese smash burger (we added Moab sauce) was life changing. I am not from Prescott but after speaking to a locals in line with us, this is really is a life changing discovery. The strawberry shake was so nostalgic of what I used to have as a kid and that made me love this place that much more. They had the brisket this Saturday, we are told it usually sells out before noon. We had to at least try that with the fries! Moab fries with brisket were sooooo yummy. A great meal for a great price and a GREAT find!! The area to eat inside is quaint and it was a family-feeling diner with a mixed match of tables and a bar with some barstools. Food and the smell were good. But the pricing is a bit ridiculous as it was like 16 dollars for one hamburger and a small order of fries. The service overall was good but I wish the pricing wasn't so expensive. I would still recommend going for the taste of the burgers as the Moab sauce is delicious and the overall burger is fantastic as well too. Check this place out if you're ever on the road and see this place. If you want to stop just for a quick bite check them out. The last criticism I have is the hours as they're only open 10am-2pm. In other words lunch time. Not that that's a bad thing but it would still be nicer if there was extra time to go to get dinner or something else. read more

I've been here a couple times now and I LOVE this spot. It's such a hidden gem! It's family run and they are very on top of everything. The owner comes out often and checks on people and thanks them for coming. Super nice guy. There's been lines to wait in but it's worth it. Old school diner vibes. Walk up to a window to order and you can either take it to-go or find a seat inside (not a very large seating area). Took a while to order the food because there is only one window/person taking orders and if you order a shake(s) they will make it for you right after you order so the next customer has to wait until that's all done. Sammie's really is a hidden gem in Prescott!! It's such a great local burger spot that both locals and tourists love. I personally LOVE Sammie's, but there are a couple things they could definitely improve. First -- the brisket situation They only have brisket on Saturdays, and they sell out before like 11-12 PM. It's so frustrating because it's just one day, and people who come specifically for brisket end up getting told it's gone. They should at least offer it on Fridays too, especially since they're closed on Sundays. And honestly, they should make more brisket in general -- the demand is clearly there, and people would 100% pay good money for it. Also, the outside setup could use some work. When it rains, there's not enough coverage for customers waiting in line, and the line can move kinda slow while ordering. A little more shelter would make a big difference. read more

This place was so freaking good!!! Mom and daughter in the front. Father and son in the kitchen. Besides just being a laid back super welcoming vibe, the service was on point and the food was fantastic. I had the Moab burger and I have to say the pulled pork was juicy and smoked to perfection! Also my friend got the double smashed cheeseburger and good lord, the meat and pickle combo was 10 out of 10 I also got a pup patty for my pup in the truck. He loved it but, it was a plain smashed patty that I also tried just to get a taste of the meat by itself. It was deliciously beefy. We shared a side of beef tallow fries that were perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I don't live overly close to here but I will definitely be putting this on my lunch spot list in the future. On a trip to Paulden, stopped in just before closing and they were nice enough to take my order. Theirs is probably one of the best burgers in Arizona (next to Capital Farms in Wickenburg) and in the southwest (including Archie's, in Sparks, NV). Perfectly cooked! Not enough Ms in Mmmmmmmmmm. I have had mixed experiences here and I will return mostly because they offer gluten-free options and they are gluten aware. Interestingly, we took our visiting relatives from back East there and they loved it! They are very wealthy and can eat anywhere, but they love their hole in the wall places! My husband's pork barbecue sandwich was outstanding with a very generous portion, very moist and with succulent pork. But the burgers I've gotten have been dried out and still somehow quite greasy. I'm thinking I'm better off getting something else besides a burger at this location. While the food is tasty, as I mentioned, it is often unnecessarily greasy. Perhaps that's what makes it taste good!? Anyway for me, mixed reviews on Sammie's, but I certainly support their efforts and will continue to support our small businesses. Perhaps focus a bit more on the quality. read more

4.25 stars. The name is fitting as this place screams burger joint. Burgers are good quality. Great bun, thin patty that is wider than the bun, which I love. Now a caveat....this is not my type of burger but I respect the quality. I prefer thousand island type spread and fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion. Burgers here are more savory. They have "MOAB" sauce that is really good. Basically a garlic aioli with a little spice to it and caramelized onions very tasty. So if you prefer a really savory burger this is the place for you.
