Wish I read these reviews before buying my groupon a mistake I will never make again. The place is very dingy, full of old furniture in very tiny room. Not to mention very small and covered by sheets everywhere making it strange and uncomfortable. I had the displeasure of having a dog scratch up my legs and jump all over me. I had to call out for someone to retrieve it. It was not a service animal but someone's untrained pet. A middle age man did my lashes who I had to remind to use hand sanitizer before touching me. Just disgusting. My lashes are hanging off on my left eye and I have HUGE space in between making my lashes look unnatural. My tech who I am now certain is not certified or licensed told me to pay more and he will fix it. Smh! This establishment needs to be investigated by OSHA due to the pet dander and unsanitary conditions. read more

Happened upon this cute little nail place in Manhattan. The ladies are so friendly and awesome. Really happy with my first dip nail experience. Will definitely return. Note: it's not a spacious huge nail salon that you may be used to. But they do amazing nail art and nail work. I highly recommend them! read more

So I was desperate on a Thursday and I resorted to Groupon since I had a credit. I needed to get my nails done since I had a wedding on Friday and wouldnt have time. I purchased the Groupon for this place and figured it can't be too terrible and they had availability. I wanted gel since I will be oversea for two weeks. So upon walking in I noticed a small dog running around and old furniture trimmed in gold. Needless to say vastly different from traditional salons. I was seated on one if the gold trimmed sofas and that is where my nails were done. It was a bit uncomfortable since the sofa was not level with the table. I selected my color and away we went, first off I have to say I hate it when the polish doesn't cover the entire nail(to the nail bed and sides of the nails) I pointed this out but I don't think she understood. I also pointed out that there were fibers from the nail polish removal and filing. The end result bumpy polished nails that didn't meet the nail bed or sides. Drew blood when cutting my cuticles. Didn't clean the dirt from under my nails. No buffing, no lotion. The polish they used was so old, it didn't spread smoothly on my nails, so I asked them to take it off, then left with my bloody finger. Never go here. read more

This place is amazing! I visited so many nails shops in NYC before and I can guarantee that this place is the cheapest nail art shop but still give u the best result. I really love the concept that they give a room just for one person for doing nails. The room looked beautiful and the staffs were amazingly nice to me! No working phone number for starters., No one answers the buzzer, I climbed five flights of stairs during business hours to encounter a sign that said the door doesn't work. With another phone number, that phone number also doesn't work. This place basically doesn't exist. But there's no way to call ahead to schedule because there's no working phone number. I would not suggest assuming they're open during their listed hours because clearly they're not and they don't care to be contacted at all. Horrible!! First, unclean. I walked in and no one was at the front desk except a little dog which proceeded to jump on my legs. Don't get me wrong, cute dog but what if I was allergic? Then, I'm led to the mani room and right outside of the door was a wee wee pad soaked with urine. I've never seen an animal in a salon, never mind pee...unbelievable unsanitary...I almost walked out then and there. It appeared that was their normal...the manager was carrying my coat for me and almost grazed the gross pad which I called her attention to. That very wet pee pad was outside the door the entire time of my mani. Moving on, I bought a groupon for a gel mani to try the place and had a specific color in mind (note, they had it but not much else). When we got to the 2nd coat of the gel color, I see streaks all over my nails. The manager tried to tell me it might have to do with my nails and the heat. What?? I get gel manis all the time and have never ever had an issue like this...I said, it's definitely your polish. They had to start over with a diff color (old machine and they only have one - your entire hand has to be in it). When I walked in, they said it would be $10 to soak my current gel off...definitely on the expensive side (typically $7) but I agreed. Because of the streaks, I had to get the new gel polish soaked off my nails again with acetone and get my nails scraped again which cannot be good to do to nails 2x in a row. I had plenty of time to get to my next appt across town until they had to start over. The situation was clearly stressful - they were rushed and I was ordering a car before she could finish moisturizing my hands. And, after my new non-streaked, sloppily rushed nails in a color I didn't want was done, the manager had the audacity to say that the new color was nicer than the one I initially picked...I responded by saying I preferred the one I came in for. Due to all things, I asked that I not be charged the $10 soak fee. The manager insisted I pay and never even offered an apology. I said that something should be done based on my negative experience. Nothing - just rude insistent responses...oh, and then she laughed as I was leaving. I don't think she'll be laughing when the sanitation department finds out there are animals and unhygienic conditions in her "salon." read more
