In my experience of tasting bubble tea which hasn't been extensive, CoCo has always been my number 1 choice. Since my friends are Asian or Asian culture lovers I have been in the circle of which bubble tea place is the best hands down. Many names have popped up and CoCos has always been one option. Overall when I drink a bubble tea from CoCos I am not disappointed at all. The hot taro milk tea is so gas way and should be bought by every person at least once to taste. Coco is one of my favorite bubble tea chains. I always order a large three guys. This new location is clean and spacious. The only downside is that outside food is not allowed and they don't have any real food items on the menu. So for a lunch break it's not inviting to stop in here, it's more of a grab and go place. read more

Coco can do no wrong in my eyes, their tapioca is cooked to the perfect chewy consistency and you can customize your drink to any way your heart desires. This bayside location just got a whole new renovation and it's looks so much brighter and modern now. I love the tables and chairs they provide so you can enjoy your tea over some light chit chat with friends or a mini study session. This location is perfect for students as it is right next to an elementary school and a middle school. Also again because it's bayside the prices of the drinks are higher compared to flushing main Street... I guess you can't get the best of both worlds after all. Drinks are good but the employee are rude and unfriendly. That's why they don't deserve the last 3 stars. The person who takes your order would not greet you hello, bye and tell you the total of the your order. Oh don't expect a thank you for your patronage. You'd have look at the screen and see your $$total to pay. The only thing you hear is "anything else" to order your next drink, anything else, anything else, etc and then finally the cashier points at the screen to pay your total. Don't ask questions about the different type of drinks on the menu board because they get annoyed. They expect you to know it otherwise don't order it. Another thing is they crank up the music so loudly that they cannot hear your order. I love bubble tea but I'm absolutely DISGUSTED with the staff/cashier that work here. I have never wanted to leave a negative yelp review before until yesterday. On multiple occasions over the last month, the staff have given my friends and I a hard time redeeming coupons/deals that CoCo themselves promote. They act as if paying respectful customers were an inconvenience. I can let all that go but I cannot let go what happened to us yesterday. Came in early Sunday afternoon and ordered drinks. Cashier begins to roll her eyes and mutter under her breath right in front of us.The best part was when they started complaining under their breath in Chinese complaining about how annoying we were. Perhaps they didn't think we heard or maybe even understood Chinese. This was completely unprovoked, we didn't complain or have any issues ordering our drinks. Atrocious way to treat your customers. I was disappointed with my visit here. I was in the area and in the mood for some boba. Visually, the design of the shop is very sleek and aesthetically pleasing however everything else was seriously lacking. We ordered taro, jasmine and caramel milk bubble tea. Service was quick so no complaints there. I'll start off with the taste, I wasn't impressed with any of the flavors. The taro was gritty, the jasmine tasted as if it was steeped too long. No complaints on the caramel though. However, the guy preparing our drinks only put an adequate amount of ice in one of the drinks, the taro had some ice and the jasmine had none! Warm bubble tea is not good! My sister went back inside to address the issue. When she told them that they forgot to put ice in, the man just stared at her. No apologies or suggestions on how to fix it. She then proceeded to ask if he could add ice, he then said that he won't be able to re-seal it, so she said that he could simply cut it open and add ice. It was at this point that he SHOULD have offered to re-make it and he should have apologized for the inconvenience. But he didn't. Also the tapioca pearls tasted odd, as if they were old? I've made my own tapioca pearls at home many times (meaning with tapioca flour and hand molding them) so we know what fresh tapioca pearls should taste like - I was not impressed, and we will not be going back. read more

Coco is just another bubble tea place. I personally like kungfu better but this is probably the best you can get in the Bayside area for now. The milk teas range from 3 to 4 dollars. All toppings are 50 cents each (tapioca, grass jelly, coconut jelly, pudding). Getting a large size normally requires you to pay 1 dollar extra. The drinks are great and the prices are reasonable but the service absolutely sucks. One of the workers there has a really bad attitude towards customers. Before renovating, the benches were aligned in rows. You could push the booth back, while the customers behind you would be pushed with it. This worker sat in a booth during his break, and unfortunately, I was at the opposite end of the bench. So while he pushed back, I was pressed up against the table. I politely asked him to move it a little, and he refused and returned his attention back to his laptop where he was watching some Chinese drama. Then, I asked his coworkers to ask him to move. They obviously didn't try too hard to get him to listen, because he still didn't move. I am really upset about this and I find it really aggravating that he still glares at me when I come back to get my weekly milk tea. read more

I appreciate the fact that they are willing to customize the drinks for me- I usually get the grapefruit green tea and ask for more grapefruit juice than green tea or I just ask for grapefruit juice without the green tea and they always say yes.
