I had a really disappointing experience at Coco Nail Bar. I honestly don't usually write reviews and I normally don't care enough to, but this experience was bad enough that I feel like I need to say something. I went in for a dip powder French tip on my natural nails, and I specifically told the nail tech multiple times that I did NOT want my nails any shorter. I had finally grown them out to a length I loved (which is not easy for me), and that was really important to me. Despite that, she filed them down extremely short without asking or checking with me first. On top of that, she didn't even ask what base color I wanted for the French tip. She just chose a pink shade on her own that didn't match my skin tone at all. When I tried to speak up about it, she brushed me off and told me it would look better at the end--which it didn't. When the service was finished, my nails looked nothing like what I asked for. The length was completely gone, and the overall result was honestly very disappointing. What made the experience even worse was how I was treated when I tried to calmly explain what I didn't like. I was not rude--I was simply communicating because I have a big event coming up and wanted my nails to look good. Instead of listening, the staff immediately became defensive, talked over me, and treated me as if I was attacking them. They dismissed everything I said and made me feel like I was overreacting, rather than acknowledging that I was unhappy with the service. It honestly felt like they cared more about being "right" than fixing a clearly bad job. As a paying customer, that is completely unacceptable. Then they charged me $79 for a service that was not done as requested and that I was clearly unhappy with. I came in excited and left upset, frustrated, and disrespected. This was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you care about your nail length, your preferences, and being treated with basic respect, go somewhere else.

Really enjoyed it here! I called a few hours ahead to make sure they took walk-ins/last minute appointments. Luckily, I was able to snag a pedicure spot for that evening. Glad I did, because the chairs filled up quick after 5pm! The space itself is so clean and beautiful! Felt like I was in a luxury spa. The chairs were extremely comfortable and clean. They have an extensive menu showing all the pedicure spa options, as well as their other services, along with their prices. Highly recommend this spot for pedicures! Will try manicure/full sets one day.

I loved it here, but the service has declined for a while now. The last straw was yesterday- photos attached. I made an appointment for a group mani/pedi and they seemed surprised when we arrived. Sarah did my $63 gel pedicure (poorly). I noticed a few imperfections so Lisa (who usually does a great job) fixed a few things because Sarah had left. When she inspected things closely, she chuckled and shook her head, but I could not tell anything was really wrong with the polish at that time. They told me to wait for someone else to do my mani. I waited at least 30 minutes for a mani and spoke up when I noticed they helped another walk in before me. They offered to do my mani past their closing time, but I declined because I didn't want them to rush and do a poor job. 24 hours later, I noticed my polish starting peeling. I tried to push it down and clearly felt sticky gel polish underneath. The polish is quickly separating and peeling back. I called and spoke to a man who apologized and offered to fix it, but they couldn't take me that evening since it was too close to their closing time. Unfortunately, I have a flight in the morning before they open so I can't go in tomorrow. I asked for a credit since they couldn't take me that evening, but he said no and asked why I didnt notice sooner. I explained I just noticed it peeling and he kept asking how I didn't notice and call sooner. Several times lately, when I (or other people I know) make an appointment with specific people and they don't honor it. When I arrive the tech isn't working or they say that person is booked and wont be able to take me. The only option is for someone else to do it. Some techs are great, but I am very dissapointed with the service and how they handled this situation. I will look for another salon :(

Came here for the first time with a friend and we made an appointment. I had asked for a full acrylic set for a friends wedding I'm going to do I wanted a simple but sure design. I showed Ryan the picture and honestly he was very through and detailed. He was friendly and I love how my nails look. The only downside is that it is pricey compared to some places but you do get well done nails here so for the quality I think that it could be worth it. It was $80 for the set so if you're looking for quality, this place may be it interior was also very cute!

This is after I added neosporin. Hopefully they won't get infected.

Went for a manicure with Michelle. She literally cut chunks off my cuticles until I told her to stop. Do not recommend. Next day the polish is already cracked and lifting on multiple nails. I now have to go to another salon and get them fixed.

I've been here twice now and both times were amazing! My first time was for a redo for my wedding nails because a different place didn't do what i wanted. I received great customer service and it was clear that the employees really care about their customers. The second time i went was for a fill and my nail tech made great suggestions for holiday nails! I am pretty rough on my nails because of my job and these last 3 weeks! I've never been the type of person to have my nails done, but I'm obsessed with this place! I will definitely be a regular!! read more

This mail bar was very nice and seemed pretty clean from what I could tell! I had Abby and she did a great job. The only reason I'm not giving it the full 5 stars is because she used some type of scrubber on my feet so some skin came off. Other than that I would absolutely come back! Maybe recommend to whoever does my toes not to scrub to me, but I recommend it! read more

I got regular mani and pedi, and it was poor quality. I could see the nail polish layers and didn't clean my cuticles well. Pedi was okayish. Will not be returning there. Also, the salon tables looked dirty. read more

Been going here since September and have been a very loyal customer and have brought friends and family along side with me but after today the way i was treated by holly i unfortunately will NOT be back. I made an appointment for Dip but holly wanted to do acrylic so i went along with it. Before starting the acrylic i told holly one of the nails was to the side she assured me she would fix it after the acrylic i still didn't like it and expressed that and how the nails was to skinny (as i have fat fingers) She said "if you don't like them i will take them off for you but i don't want to do them again" I asked her to just make them thicker and add gel polish. Overall I used to love going here but will not continue to after how i was treated even though i was a repeat customer. read more

I've been to and searched across a lot of nail salons to get this specific design and I'm so glad I found CoCo Nail Bar!! I requested an appointment through Yelp and it was very easy to book an appointment. I had Holly do my nails and she really took her time to create the design I really wanted. I couldn't be happier with the result. Everyone was very nice and attentive, making sure the details were clean and nicely done. I usually get anxious going to nail salons but I felt very comfortable at CoCo. read more

Was looking for a new place to get my nails done and came across this gem because of the reviews and OMG I'm never going anywhere else. They are friendly, clean and they did this cute little nails for me. Jasmine did mine and she did an amazing job. I didn't have an appointment but they quickly took me and treated me so nice, it felt like I was having a conversation with a long life friend. Appointment times mean nothing. You will wait for a minimum of 30 minutes with a scheduled appointment. The prices change. They now charge to remove gel polish for a gel fill. Very shady business practices. Now if you are getting designs you will be ushered past clients with cheaper services. read more

I am not sure what shifted since I started coming here back in late 2022. Service was always amazing, great prices and nice nail techs. But my last manicure was sloppy and rushed and the techs are rude and impatient. It also seems like the prices are changed on a whim. It's a surprise every time I go to check out. I was a loyal customer until now but I'll have to switch to a different salon :(. Can't think of any pros, lots of cons. read more

A beautiful, modern salon. I got a gel mani/pedi and it held up for almost 3 weeks! My nail tech was also able to recreate the exact design I wanted (bring a photo if you want a specific look). Very happy with my experience. read more

The vibe is a bit weird in this place..The people in the salon are not friendly at all (except the young person at the register- they go around and ask people if they need something to drink etc..) and the techs don't listen to my concerns. I asked for a soak off to protect my nails from being ripped off and the nail tech, Ryan, used a nail tip to rip off the old acrylic and when I asked him to not do that, he said "no it's fine it's not going to damage your nail" and then he charged me for the soak off.. I then got a neutral color and 4 designs (2 on each hand) totaling to $105. A week and a half later, the acrylic began to lift and I have to glue it down. I tried to give them a second chance and went again today. I left unsatisfied again. The prices of the services do not seem to be set and seem to vary from day to day... I asked for a design on 2 fingers (1 on each hand) and a fill and it was estimated to be $140 which is ridiculous!!!! I've never paid that much for nails !! So I changed my mind and did a cat eye design for both hands -- ended up being $95 and the cat eye just looked like a regular glitter polish. When I asked to get it re-done tomorrow by a different person they said it would be at least $20 for a color change. I don't trust this place to do anything but a simple polish.... read more

My regular nail tech is Fiona, someoneI have gone to several times already, and who I think is a *terrific* person and a "great* nail technician. The following review is only about Ryan, the manager there. I had a miserable experience at this salon today. Ryan, the manager, did my nails. My regular technician, whom I have always loved, is out because she's having a baby. So I was under the mistaken assumption that the manager of the salon would do an excellent job. He not only did a crappy job, but he charged me $2 more than she does. And after I left, I realized he never mentioned the discount that you're supposed to receive when you pay in cash. To start, and from beginning to end, he never smiled. One time. He had a "serious" attitude problem. I can see why he would, with tons of people constantly pouring in the door and paying them tons of money... You may rest assured it's the most expensive salon around Centerville and Manassas and probably Chantilly. Throughout my manicure, he answered the phone, set appointments, directed the other nail techs about how to handle several situations, spoke Vietnamese to everyone there incessantly, and in general acted like I didn't exist. He had me soak my hands in cold water. When he clipped my cuticles, he didn't clip them. He would cut them halfway and then yank them off the rest of the way. On every single finger. He was chatting up a young attractive woman when I went back to wash my hands. When I returned, I had to wait five more minutes while he finished flirting with her. He was so sullen and close-mouthed the whole entire time he was working on me, I wanted to just get out of there when he finished, because I did not want to deal with him for another minute. ONE HOUR after the end of my appointment, my nail polish was still tacky to the touch. That has never happened to me before, and I have been getting my nails done for decades. He was mixing and matching different base coat, color, and top coat, so I imagine the products didn't work together. How could he not know that? The icing on the cake was when I was leaving, the cute young thing had sat down in his chair, and he was laughing and joking and making her laugh. So apparently, he only really likes to work on people who are young and adorable. I had considered calling him and telling him that my nails were a mess an hour later and to get the color redone, but honestly? He was such a nasty little jerk towards me, I'll just eat the $22 I paid, and I'm still thinking about whether or not I will ever go back there again. All the women who work in there are as nice as can be. And I've seen some great nails come out of that salon. It's just him. And he orders all those sweet nail technicians around that salon like they are his slaves. I don't know how he even keeps his job, and I don't know why those nail techs tolerate his behavior. Lesson learned. read more

Writing this right after getting home because I believe in the power of reviews. I called the salon last minute and they were able to fit me in. The location is huge, several nail techs were staffed and it was a TUESDAY. There was no one who walked in that had to wait around. I got a gel pedi and acrylic full set with gel polish and design. The mani can be pricey depending on what you're getting done but honestly, worth every penny. The level of detail put in to get my inspo pic exact even when I said it didn't have to be. Pedi was so relaxing, they have great massage chairs, and the staff are kind and professional. So happy to have been recommended this place. read more

Really tried to give this place a chance but ultimately after 2-3 visits with different techs, my gel manicures would lift within 3-4 days. Not worth the money and time, in my opinion. Normal manicure with clear polish was fine and easy enough not to mess up. read more

The salon is beautiful. Everyone was really night. I had Lisa for a gel pedicure and dip nails. She also waxed my eye brows. The only issue I have.. I got them done yesterday... they have the hair lines fractures already. I'm not sure if it's because they don't use the gel topcoat and then under the lamp like my other place I used to go our what? I will give them another shot just because everyone was so nice and she was meticulous. read more

Don't bother going here Ryan and his wife don't have a really nice personality and are rude. When he can't even do some simple designs for me the 2x I went in, his wife called me out having OCD after I told her I am picky with my nails... smh lol in turn got NO TIP! And now he won't see u without an appt.. but for basic work and I heard from some other females the same basically n the work he did for them was terrible.. mmm..smh I have pics on Google of how bad my nails were after she did them.. Don't waste ur money go somewhere else I found a new place called Inspire nails in Chantilly that Nail techs are nicer and give you a 10% discount on all services. :) read more

Wanted to check this place out for great reviews. Called this morning to make an appt for 530 today. I only had 3 nails that still had gel on it and they were telling me it had to be wrapped and wait for 10 min. It's 548 now and I asked how much longer and the girl said 5-10 min..... so basically no one regarded my appt time. I left without an apology or anything. Poor customer service. Will NOT be going back. read more

At first I liked this place and the customer service was good. Now that it got busy kinda slacking on slowly. Before they did take tip on the credit card and not anymore which is fine but should put a sign out cash only for tips. I'll go back but we'll see. read more

I wrote on the electronic form they sent a day before my appointment that I was pregnant. Disclaimer, that if you speak with your OB GYN and even most spas, they are willing to give hydrafacials to pregnant women because it is not harmful to the baby. Just Google it if you don't believe me. However, it is at the discretion of the salon as to whether they will do the facial or not. For this particular salon, the owner did not tell me she had an issue with performing the facial until I arrived! And as I'm about to walk into the room, she says "I will do another facial on you but not the hydra facial because you are pregnant." Listen, if you don't want to perform the facial because of liability or whatever your reasons are that makes sense, but please be professional and call me ahead of time. Don't try to give me a different facial I don't want and make me drive 20 minutes in the middle of a week day to then deliver the news so you can at least get some money out of me. I thought that was unprofessional. Especially since I had filled out an electronic form stating I was pregnant the day before coming in. The women working there seemed really nice and the establishment was clean but you can't waste customers time like this. It is a colossal disappointment and very unprofessional.

Not only does Melodie do a great job cutting, coloring and styling my hair, she has the most pleasant personality and demeanor that makes me feel like I'm catching up with a dear friend. I cannot recommend her or this salon enough. They are sweet and actually very fast too. It's nice that I don't have to spend hours at the salon. I always know I have a great hairdresser when I fully trust their recommendations and know that they'll do a good job. The pic I've attached is actually taken two days past my appt. I haven't washed it yet and it still looks great. This is my balayage being redone from a year ago and it only took 2 hours.

Nancy and Michelle made me feel like a regular, were incredibly accommodating when my sister and I changed up what we wanted to do, and were extremely kind and honest. I chose to get a milky-pink neutral for my wedding nails and thought I'd go with OPI's Bubble Bath, but Nancy tried it on my nails and we both agreed that the color didn't suit my skin tone. She immediately went and found something similar, and they look WONDERFUL. I had a broken nail and she was able to fix it nicely. This is the first time I've thought I could become the kind of girl who goes and gets her nails done regularly -- but only here!

First and last time here. I came in for a 12:30 appointment and they took me at 1:10, the guy who did my toes did a horrible job the main part of the pedicure he did it in 13 mins exactly the rest of the time was spent doing a massage. He didn't clean my toes good or file them correctly it looks horrible and he kept checking his watch to rush me out. I do not recommend at all. It was seriously my hard worked money in the trash. A response to the OWNER. I was 6 mins late to be exact, and I waited for over 30 mins after and I asked the lady who was doing my nails and she said pointed to another and said she was gonna do it then they just gave me a guy randomly. And he didn't spend 30 mins doing my toes he spend 13 mins cleaning and the other 10 putting polish and rubbing my legs.oh and by the way how is there NO MANGER ON SITE? I have been coming there for about 2 years now- This last time totally felt like Mina was not in the mood to do nails- despite asking her like 3 times what I wanted she did what she wanted, I sense it was a waste of my time and hers( bc she was in a hurry)to explain over again what I wanted done. I don't consider myself a difficult person that will request this and that,- and when I do request something, I have no problem paying for it! I wasn't expecting anything for free- but walking away and feeling as if a " favor" was done- I wont accept. I could take my business somewhere else. They wont miss out on anything but. My nail technician took her time and paid attention to every detail, making sure my nails looked absolutely perfect. I tried this place on a whim because my other place was book and WOW! Holly was amazing! She was quick but thorough checking each nail over and over. I asked her to do a bow and she suggested red Crome powder over it and it exceeded my expectations! Not only was I in and out with fabulous nails but they also had a punch card and a coupon and gave me a freebie lotion!
