One area that stood out to me was the night supervisor's management style. Every interaction has felt very rigid and impersonal, with little warmth or customer service. It comes across as overly controlling rather than supportive, and I can imagine that type of environment contributes to the constant turnover. I genuinely enjoy the food, but I think this store would benefit from stronger leadership, better employee development, and a greater focus on creating a positive experience for both customers and staff.

It goes so well with rice. whatever you do, definitely get it. The duck blood "soup" also came with other items like spam, tripe and intestines and veggies. It was numbing and spicy, but definitely not too crazy. Also the hot and sour soup was amazing. The Ambiance is really laid back. There are a few seats inside, and i feel like its more like a take to go type of place. But in the front, you'll see the poke section. but in the back you can definitely hear the wok going off when cooking chinese food. I also got a passion fruit green tea drink and it was perfectly made. If you're craving authentic chinese food, come here. Its not cheap, but 10x better than Panda Express.

I first tried this restaurant when it opened, and the experience wasn't great. I figured they were still working out the kinks, so I decided to give them some time before coming back. Unfortunately, my second visit was even worse. The customer service was honestly the biggest disappointment. The employees seemed were impatient, rude and unprofessional. I'm not sure if they're mostly teenagers or just poorly trained, but they definitely need better customer service training. A friendly attitude and basic courtesy go a long way, especially when customers are spending their money. As for the food, I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken, the Honolulu Chicken, and a slider on the side. The slider was actually the best thing I ordered. It was flavorful and well made. However, both chicken entrees tasted almost identical. They were extremely salty, the portions were much smaller than expected for the price, and neither dish stood out in flavor. The macaroni salad was also disappointing. It was watery and runny, which is not something I've experienced at other Hawaiian restaurants. Overall, I spent over $25 and left feeling like it wasn't worth it. Between the poor customer service, small portions, and disappointing food quality, I won't be returning. There's another Hawaiian esquié restaurant nearby that consistently provides better food, better service, and a much better value. I'll be sticking with them from now on.

As I scanned the different restaurants I found that Ying's fried rice looked like what my brain was craving! The flavor was exactly what I wanted! Hubs got Chicken fried rice and he ate almost the whole container lol, we both are the type that can make two meals off of a fried rice. The portions were large, and piping hot, the oblong black containers with the clear lid. My brother ordered Garlic Shrimp, and he truly enjoyed it, the next day he told me it was the best Chinese food he'd had since moving here about 3 years ago! We will definitely order again, and when we do I will try to remember to take photos!

I recently tried Coco Shrimp for the first time, and overall, it was a good experience. The cashier was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu, which made ordering easy. We decided to go with the sampler, and the food came out quickly. The shrimp itself didn't have a ton of flavor, but it was still enjoyable. I tried the coco shrimp, lemon herb shrimp, and butter garlic shrimp--of the three, the butter garlic was my favorite. The salad was fresh, and I really liked the poppyseed dressing. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal was actually the local blueberry soda--it was delicious! I appreciate the restaurant's concept, which allows for fast service, and the overall experience was positive. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here, it's a solid choice if I'm in the mood for shrimp. read more

Delicious! My husband and I kept driving by the Watauga location when it was being built. We drove by it and saw that it was finally open! We decided to go inside and give it a try. Wow! Everything was absolutely delicious! The garlic and butter seasoned rice just melts in your mouth. The shrimp is delicious! We brought our out-of-town guests to Coco Shrimp. They loved it too! Since we drive by there often, we'll be eating there frequently! I highly recommend Coco Shrimp to anyone who loves shrimp! If you aren't a shrimp person, then you can get the rice and salad! We enjoyed the music, the crowd and the night at Mariscos El Malecon and will definitely be returning.
