What at treat we found here, I don't even know how I've missed this place for so long. It's authentic Mexican food with a menu that covers a wide variety of traditional dishes especially seafood along with beef,soups etc. There is plenty room to park, we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was quick to answer our questions and make suggestions. It's a lively festive atmosphere here with live entertainment. The food was amazing be careful with the queso sauce it bites back the Pico de gallo was mild. I had Salmon fillet with a red pepper creme sauce which I requested to on side. Absolutely delicious steamed Veggies and white rice all cooked perfectly the rice was amazing flavorful. The wife had Aguachiles Shrimp with malencon sauce their were 3 sauce options for this dish.We finished it off with Churros and Ice Creme which look fabulous but the ice creme was mostly melted when they put 6 hot churros in it. Just ok I prefer Ice Creme cold. I asked for an Old Fashion but apparently they don't served those, went with straight whiskey while wife had a Paloma. We are so lucky to have found this place! The torre de mariscos was HUGE and tasted great! My husband got the mojarra frita and the flavor was good! The food was good but the service was better. We stopped in this town briefly and ate here yesterday. Food was good, server was nice. I ordered my daughter from the kids menu the pescado empanizado which came with fries for $6.99. When they brought out the plate, it had a salad and a portion of rice which was not listed on the kids menu. I asked our server 3 different times if she was sure this was the kids plate, she assured us it was. I thought WOW! she wound up not eating the whole thing obviously. When it came time for the check, I still had that plate size in the back of my head. Sure enough, the charge on the ticket said $18.99. I called our server over and pointed it out to her. She said she'd be right back. She took FOREVER. She came back saying she was sorry but that they couldn't adjust the price since we had basically "accepted" the plate. I said, this is why we asked you THREE different times if this was the correct plate. She insisted they wouldn't do the price adjustment and that she could take the 15% gratuity off because she'd have to basically pay for the difference on that plate. I told her that wasn't right either... she then showed me on her device how it is very confusing on how to put in the order for that specific plate and I saw that myself. I told her it wasn't fair if they aren't making the choices clear for her. I said I could speak to her supervisor to make things right for her and myself but she seemed scared and just insisted she'd take care of it. We left it like that for her sake and left her a cash tip. Your company needs to not take advantage of your customers/servers. Also I've never heard of a 15% gratuity on a party of 5. The food is amazing. My absolute favorite is the Marlin tacos and the aguachile en molcajete! I don't know if any other place that serves Marlin. Also their mangonada margaritas are very good. We had the pulpo dish the other day and it was super good as the pulpo was cool correctly, therefore it was super tender (No rubbery) and well seasoned. Idk if I want to leave a three star. First the place was open during Easter Sunday which was a plus. Thank you for that. The staff was great , pretty well pack but had tables for a large group. We tried the sushi cali roll only because my kid wanted it and it was terrible. I ordered the cocktail de camarones and I was disappointed truly. We were very disappointed in the Fajitas, it was very chewy. The side baked potato was different but it was filled with so much sour cream. As we walked in I asked the hostess if we seat ourselves and she just kind of looked at me then I realized she didn't speak English which was no big deal my wife's speaks Spanish. Now for food, my husband ordered the el Malecon molcajete & I ordered the stuffed pineapple with shrimp, scallops, octopus, fish. I enjoyed my food except it could use more seasoning, it was pretty bland. Now here's the DISGUSTING PART of my husbands food, as he was mixing the food in the molcajete and made his taco out the meats , he took a bite and inside was a BALLED UP NAPKIN!!!!!! we couldn't believe it, and the waitress did not seem concerned or apologetic at all!!!! we hear those type of nasty things at fast food establishments but at a I think newly opened restaurant is outrageous and ridiculous!
