I used to come here weekly & was obsessed with the coffees. As well as the ice cream. I've come twice in the last two weeks & the lattes seem to be way off compared to how they were prior. I truly enjoyed this place! I'm sad it took me forever to make my way over, but better late than never! The location is awesome for anyone in the Katy area. There's a lot of parking. Very spacious and comfortable inside with ample seating. It's a great hangout spot, date spot, and study spot (free wifi!) The menu is loaded with goodness and a variety of coffee drinks which is my favorite. The prices are also good! I've been here multiple times over the years, and I'd say their items are good but pricey. They used to show the liquid nitrogen process a few years ago, but it's now done in the back. I had their honey lavender ice cream and green tea latte this time, and they were both really good. I would definitely recommend you try them! The latte came with a cute design, and the cup was a good size. And the cashier was friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had to deduct a star because their wifi was not working for many sites. It only connected to a select few sites like google and Facebook. I came here to get work done, but I ended up having to use my own hotspot. I addressed this problem with the owner, and he said he this commonly happens with apple products. I would recommend coming here for their food and beverages but don't go here for studying due to the connection issues. read more

I notice this looks like a cool place to pull out my ipad or computer and just camp out here...or maybe i could call up some friends to hang out with...there is a relaxing , trendy , cool feeling about this place that tickles my insides!!! Then i notice to my right smoke coming out of the right side of this desert palace. I thought they were frying something juicy . Nope , its a desert place !!! It was actually a fancy liquid nitrogen ice cream machine...i had to record this cool device and post it on yelp!!! I decided to walk around the store and absorb the scenery . I also took some pictures of course!!! This place is very spacious and had plenty of seating capacity!!! The decor had some ikea/pier 1 / inspiration to make it a very trendy place... Great job!!! So after reading the menu for 10 minutes. I decided to take the plunge and try there green tea affagato ice cream !!! The cost was not cheap, after taxes it was $7.50 .. Cocohodo is probably one of the best spots for hanging out or grabbing dessert in Katy. While the cafe is settled within a small unexciting plaza off of Mason Rd, the interior of the cafe is cute and welcoming. There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is good for chatting with friends or studying. Their famous walnut and red bean pastries are served warm and individually wrapped. I'm not normally a big fan of red bean but I really like these. If you wanna have one but don't wanna commit to buying a whole set, they will happily offer you some to sample! Their ice cream is what I really keep coming back for. The ice cream is made using liquid nitrogen, and is made fresh per order. My favorite flavor is the Earl Grey, which can hold up against the Earl Grey ice creams I've had at Fat Cat and Cloud 10 within the loop. Green tea and Nutella are delicious as well. The ice cream is a little pricey, at a fixed price of $5 for a bowl of 2 scoops. Cocohodo's is also serves crepes and real coffee, something we don't have in the Katy area. Whether you're from the Katy area or not, Cocohodo on Mason is definitely worth visiting! read more

This dessert shop is everything a dessert shop should be. It has a diverse selection, extremely nice staff, and lovely decor and ambience. Very aesthetically pleasing! It offers complimentary water and Wi-Fi. It also sells a variety of packaged tea, jam, and granola from a vendor. They sell Cocohodo pastries, ice cream, shaved ice, savory and sweet crepes, coffee, espresso, smoothies, and non-alcoholic mojitos. Ice cream flavors include: chocolate, chocolate mint, green tea, mixed berry sorbet, mango & pineapple sorbet, affogato, Nutella, sweet cream, strawberry, peanut butter, earl grey tea, and strawberry cheesecake (today's special). It would've been nice to try samples, but it's understandable since they're made at the time of the order with liquid nitrogen. Prices range from about $5-7, which is kinda pricey for ice cream without toppings, in my opinion. My friend had the chocolate mint ice cream. It tasted like thin mints! I had the affogato, which was their sweet ice cream mixed with a shot of espresso. Although they used a medium roast, it was somewhat darker than I would've liked. I was also given the choice to use Nutella with espresso to have a mocha flavor instead. The manager was very attentive and discussed the menu with us since it was our first time there. He also gave us a complimentary sample of the Cocohodo pastry (red bean and walnut pastry in the shape of a ball) and peanut butter ice cream. What great service and attitude to enhance the customers' experience and bring them back! They only had 8 pastries left an hour before closing and I bought them all :p Although it's a far drive for me, I will definitely be back to try more from the menu. read more

Ordered the chocolate ice cream (sorry forgot to take picture as my kiddos scooped it out quickly) and banana foster crepe. Crepe is so yum, love the little crispy top! Drinks: I've tried the sea salt latte and iced blended green tea latte, both were pretty decent but a little too sweet for me. Dessert: The cocohodo pastries are my favorite, especially when they're piping hot and fresh! I can't help but buy some each time I visit to give to friends and family. Another of my favorites is the earl grey ice cream. For $5, it's pretty pricy but it's super flavorful (very authentic taste of earl grey) and made using nitrogen, which is pretty neat. I've also gotten the fruit and green tea shaved ice/patbingsu, and I'd have to say I liked the green tea more because the fruit one wasn't anything I couldn't make at home. The red bean on top though is what make the shaved ices special; it's the same red bean filling used in the cocohodo pastries - so soft and good! Cocohodo has a lot of choices that are bound to satisfy any tastebud. While the prices are kind of steep, it's a good place to hang out with friends over dessert or tea. OMG, Cocohodo, where have you been all my life!! Amazing coffee here! Their affogato is ridiculously good! The sweet cream ice cream complemented, but didn't overpower, the beautifully aromatic expresso. This will be my favorite go-to drink from now on! They also have other great items on their menu, such as their walnut pastries, savory crepes, and made onsite ice cream using liquid nitrogen. If you've never tried their walnut pastries, I have to be honest, you may or may not like it. You have to love and appreciate the subtle taste of red bean paste with the crunch of walnuts. They also have sweet and savory crepes. But, we decided to try their savory crepes, and they were pretty good! What I also enjoyed was their ice cream making process. I ordered their earl grey ice cream and watched them concoct one of the best tasting ice creams I've had. If you like earl grey tea, this ice cream will not disappoint, as the aroma of the tea came through in every single bite! My mouth was so happy, it was doing somersaults that day! This coffee shop is really welcoming inside - both trendy and quaint at the same time. I really like their use of chalkboards to advertise specials. For example, Mon-Thurs from 3-5pm, they have their happy hour where you can get 20% on all of their menu items, or, during the last hour before closing, get 30% off their walnut pastries (if you find you love them after trying them out). The only thing that people may be turned off by is the construction happening next to the coffee shop, and how it's kind of hidden behind nondescript buildings. So I walked in thinking it was a chain from the location in Dallas but after asking, the cashier told me it wasn't related. Almost every shaved ice dessert place I've been to in Houston typically gives an ice cream scoop at the top. I'll be honest and say this wasn't what I thought walking in and I am dissatisfied but that's because of my own decisions. I asked if the mangoes were fresh and she had answered that they're fresh frozen mangoes and I still went ahead to order it. I will say that their ice was THE softest shaved ice I've ever had which made my experience a little better. I tried one of their pastries. ..pretty much the only dessert other than jam topped ice cream (?) they offer. The texture was...not good. I couldn't swallow the first bite. Even the packaged chocolate chip cookies weren't apealing, they looked like McDonald's. The ice cream is billed as Milk icecream...I didn't try it. I have a sad feeling that they will either learn to widen their offerings, or go out of business. One American couple came in, and looked around, perused the menu and left disappointd. The one customer I saw was a young Korean teenager....picking up a friend getting off work. The coffee is very good..and they offer many teas. I guess Starbucks Coffee started with less... Good luck. That said, if I could rate with half stars, I would have downgraded my overall rating to 3.5 stars. Well... it was somewhat dry, the "tortilla" was way too thick for a crepe and folded into the shape of a burrito, and the chicken was bland. Originally we wanted to do the Pearland double feature, Killen's BBQ and Burger, however, wifey found out about this new Korean Restaurant in Katy, and I decided to turn it into an exploration to Little Korea, a shopping stripe with many Korean and Asian owned businesses. Tasty Ko was ok only, can't compete with any of H Mart Food vendors at all, but we still enjoy it because we just like spending time and discovering things together. We were going to try the Korean Fried Chicken next door Hoodadak, but instead we went to a friend Charlie's dessert and coffee shop called Cocohodo. The shop offers a wide variety of desserts, snacks, ice creams, coffee and tea to choose from, pretty sure everyone's gonna find something they like. Charlie comp us an amazing Affogato to try. We both love it very much. Affogato is probably one of my top favorite desserts. A lot of places say they make affogato, but they royally screw it up and basically serve you an espresso shot with melted goo of ice cream in it. Cocohodo's Affogato has Ice Cream that retains it's form for a good period of time, and the strong espresso shot complements perfectly with the minimal flavored ice cream. He also have us tried their Nutella Ice Cream that is made with pure Nutella, Milk, and Cream. Flavor is full and rich and not overly sweet. Charlie also gave me a sample of his Chocolate Ice Cream that is equally rich and strong taste of Coco. Crepe with Nutella, Banana, and Strawberry is. well made too with just the right amount of sweetness. We highly recommend Cocohodo as a coffee and tea shop with fantastic desserts.
