We came here for Brunch on a Saturday and it was so great! First of all, this place is super cute! There's plenty of opportunities to take really cute photos, and it's very open with lots of seating! They also have an outdoor seating area as well, which is so great! We ordered the Huevos Rancheros, Carne Asada & Eggs, and the Churro Donut Holes from the brunch menu, along with bottomless mimosas (which were $25 per person). We went here to try this new place for the first time... and the last time. My husband had a $42 rib eye that was tender but fatty. (We took the rest home for the dogs.) It came with a strange combination of red potatoes and spicy queso. I had the mahi mahi tacos that tasted like they were covered in funnel cake batter and not pineapple habanero glaze. I had a $15 cocktail that was good but not worth the price. The live music was great! I left with a stomachache. I've eaten here twice now. The first time sat outside with my three-year-old grandson and a newborn granddaughter and their parents. It's a great vibe and my grandson played with cornhole and some blocks which were outside. We love that we could keep an eye on him , while enjoying the food. Our food was great. The Cubano sandwich is huge. The tortilla soup was great. We had the churros with chocolate sauce for dessert which my grandson loved. The second time came with my husband, and we sat inside in the bar area. Once again, the food was good. I had the shrimp and elote tacos. My husband had a half a turkey Cuban and a cup of tortilla soup. Prices are comparable to other places of this nature. The food was average, my husband's quesadilla was greasy, my salad was lack luster , the lettuce tasted old. Service was lacking, we felt rushed by our server yet my husband had to go in a get a refill of his drink. The outside area is nice looking, but the noise level is too high for a conversation. We sat outside as the weather was nice! Great ambiance. Our server was Brie! She was knowledgeable, honest and directed us to the Carne asada fries.....they have a great flavor with a hint of sweet from the pickled jalapeños. Of course you can substitute. It was a pleasant surprise. I got the fajita chicken nachos (3 people can eat this amount) and my husband got the carne asada plate, meat was cooked to perfection! We had a really disappointing experience at Coconut Grove in Kemah. My wife ordered a margarita and a sandwich--neither was good. I ordered the redfish with rice and vegetables, and it was honestly one of the worst dishes I've had in a while. It came smothered in Alvarado sauce and pico de gallo, but somehow still managed to be completely bland. The fish was overcooked and dry, and it tasted like they forgot to use any seasoning at all. My party of three were told that Mondays (the day we'd chosen) was happy hour all day! Great! My friend ordered some sort of blackberry drink that I had a sip of ...delicious. However, two of us ordered the house margarita. When they showed up, it was obvious they were nothing but water...they were "clear." I took a sip. No alcohol no nothing. It was like melted ice in a glass. I called the waitress and told her that the margaritas weren't margaritas and her response was: "Well they pre-batch them." i said, 'well, then they need to make fresh ones." Her response, "I'll call my manager." The manager removed the drinks and came back with one fresh made margarita, but my friend had to wait a while to get his. In the meantime, I ordered Seafood Enchiladas. Turns out, it was just cheese enchiladas with some crab and shrimp sprinkled on top. NOT seafood enchiladas. (Strawberry ice cream is NOT vanilla ice cream with strawberries on top), but I didn't complain. When I got the bill, instead of charging $6 per margarita, the happy hour price, they put $9 per margarita. I called the manager, "You said, it was happy hour prices all day on Mondays." They did change the bill, but it was way more hassle than what it was worth. read more

We ordered the chips and queso as an appetizer, and fajitas for 2 (Thai BBQ style) as meal. Pros: Food portions were large, and ended up taking essentially a whole other meal home. Chicken fajitas were super tender and moist; very nice. The Thai BBQ fajitas came with a very tasty peanut sauce. Service was excellent; both servers and managers very attentive throughout entire meal service. Appreciated that each person on fajitas for two meal got their own beans and rice. Choice of sauces that came with fajitas was very nice: peanut sauce, butter sauce, and some kind of gravy? (Au jus'ish?) Cons: Chips were so-so; reminded me of re-cooked Tostitos and many broken, small pieces like we had the bottom of the bag. Beef in beef fajitas were too rare for me; a bit too chewy. When we were able to finally flag the waitress down awhile later, she didn't see the crab either. She brought out hot crab eventually to add to the cold nachos. This should have been remade correctly, as we would have liked to have enjoyed a hot meal. We had also ordered the shrimp and bacon quesadillas, those were good. My wife and I like to tryout new restaurants, and this one had been open for a few months. My wife pulled this restaurant up online, exited about all about their menu itens and the happy hour and she was excited for us to try it out. ( Friday is our date night) so we arrive We ask to dine outside and was told to find a seat, after a waitress brings us a couple of menus, my wife asked for their " happy hour menu" the girl comes back says they don't have one at that restaurant and leaves. My wife opens her phone and what do you know they have a happy hour every weekday until 6pm. I asked another waitress and was told a manager ripped up all the happy hour menus just the day before, but they would give us their happy hours prices. * that was a lie, only got one drink on the happy hour prices and non of the appetizers * We ordered our food and of course mine was wrong, they took it back. When the food arrives the presentation was not stellar. The food was NOT great, not at all. I like these smaller restaurants because usually they use FRESH ingredients, mine tastes as if it was a microwave dinner, the meat (beef?) was over cooked at some point and dry to the point of being rubbery. If not for the hot sauce I asked for would have had no taste at all. My wife's shrimp tacos were just ok, again not much in the taste department. Wait staff not very attentive. The outside area had a lot of promise, and if managed correctly could be a focal point for Hapoy hour gatherings of friends.... you know if fresh and friendly...there was one waitress who was all these things but sadly not ours This is one restaurant we probably will never frequent again. read more

We were told to sit anywhere on the patio by the owner and we were brought menus and queso and salsa (no explanation) and then we were not approached again for 15 min. When we finally were, we asked what was up with the queso and salsa as they are not free and she asked us who brought them. No apology for everyone walking around us with no help since we got there.
