I wish there was an option for 0/5 stars. Do yourself a favor and just drive right by this place and don't bother stopping in. It has no redeemable qualities whatsoever. The service was horrible, we sat there being passed by at least 6 different servers for the first 15 mins with no acknowledgment, no drinks and not even handed menus at the very least. When we finally got to order it took at least 30 mins to get to us. The mozzarella sticks are straight out of a freezer bag, you can tell, and the spinach wrap was soggy. Not even that, I asked for no avocado because I'm allergic and what did I find at the very bottom of it? Exactly that. So clearly they don't care about allergies! We were never checked on, any time we needed something (like a drink) we had to flag someone down. Even to pay the bill we had to go through 3 people to track down whoever was supposed to be our server. The servers were unpleasant as well, they were too busy talking to eachother to even know what's going on. I will never step foot inside of this place again, coming here in the first place was a huge mistake. Like I said, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. I bet the Denny's down the street would serve you better than this place ever could. read more

Jackie's is a great option for a casual hangout! We visited for a birthday dinner and there was an 80s band playing. They have a good amount of tables so even though there were a lot of people there it didn't feel packed. Our server was great! He was a bartender inside and worked our group of about 16 people at the same time. We never lacked for drinks or food at all. Our area had at least 3 TVs so I was able to catch every sporting event that was going on while hanging out, it was a great time. I tried the steak fingers and some crawfish, both were great! The steak fingers had nice crisp to them and the crawfish was boiled well and had good flavor. Every drink I tried was delicious, I tried a margarita and could have kept sipping those but opted to go with draft beer instead. There are so many menu options I definitely want to come back to try more food and drinks. They have an area with a pool table and darts, it looked nice but I didn't hang out there. Bathrooms were pretty clean and readily available, no lines even when the place was packed. They also have plenty of parking. read more

I have been coming to Jackie's for over 10 years and had to be my favorite spot in the area! Throughout time the food has been consistently great with the perfect atmosphere for catching live music or a hanging out with friends. Service has never been a problem and know many of the staff by name from our great experiences. We typically sit on the patio which was recently expanded due to the popularity! Live music inside and out most of the time with some shows requiring a cover inside. Summertime is great to enjoy crawfish and watch many of the multiple tvs with sports on. Stopped in to Jackie's for a quick bite. We opted to sit outside, nice breeze, Astros game was on this afternoon. It is smoking allowed for any non-smokers. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app...not my favorite. Didn't get that cheese pull, and they didn't taste very hot tbh. We ordered the medium thin crust pizza...it was amazing! Had lunch here two weeks ago and back today with a friend to try their Black and Blue burger with onion ring strings. The burgers were fabulous both times and quickly becoming my fav burger of all time. Huge tasty fresh meat paddy. The onion strings are so flavorful they can be eaten without ketchup or the fantastic sauce that is on the burger which they bring you more of with your order. The service was fantastic both times. We came for brunch, then came back for dinner the next day! For brunch, hubby got three breakfast tacos - one of each: bacon, sausage, chorizo. He enjoyed them! I love a hot honey chicken, so I got that sandwich for brunch and it was so messy and so yummy. We also got a carafe (or two) of Mimosa! When we came back for dinner, we sat on the outside patio. There was a guitarist which was really nice ambience! Hubby had the club sandwich, which is usually more of my thing. He really enjoyed it and have me one quarter of it since it was pretty big! This time we ordered as an appetizer the Ahi tuna, came cut like a steak, with avocado and ponzu sauce. The tuna felt fresh, and well seasoned, went perfect with the creaminess of the avocado, and the citrusy flavors of the sauce. We also ordered the Brickhouse baked oysters, this was a large plate of Oysters with jalapeños, bacon and Parmesan. We took our dog there on a Saturday afternoon and our server came immediately with ice water for him. A few minutes later, another server came with bacon for him & he was in heaven! We had a reservation at 6:30. The manager Matt McMillan cancelled our reservation because we didn't t answer a call 30 minutes prior. We couldn't answer due to getting ready but he went ahead and gave our table away to some of his friends. You can tell they were friends since they kept calling him by his name. He said it was a misunderstanding but we waited over an hour for a table but there were other reservations there who had our same reservation time that had their tables. Not trying to say they were racist but we were the only ones with a Hispanic last name that had their reservation ms canceled. Matt kept making excuses for it but nothing made sense. Me and my aunt were looking for a new spot to try around the area and we heard about this place . The live crawfish here are HUGE and the specials are great!! . Now the only thing i recommend when coming here is paying a little extra for spicy garlic if you like your mud bugs wet! They are a little light on the spicy/seasoning side but you really can't complain when you are paying under $30 for some big mud bugs!! My wife and I really like Jackie's! It is one of our go to spots on the weekends when we are down staying on our boat. The great food, live music, awesome dog friendly patio make it a win for us. The service is a bit hit and miss depending upon who is working, especially on the patio. Sometimes we have waited over 20 minutes for someone to come take our drink order. Food usually comes out quickly once you get someone to take your order. Some of the wait staff is better than others at refilling drinks, etc., but overall a great experience. Their Royal Red Shrimp is the best! We recommend adding the orange and garlic butter in addition. Make sure you also ask for less spicy if you are not into spicy shrimp. There "mild" is closer to medium, if you catch my drift. Music on the patio is generally very good and not too loud to have a decent conversation at your table. Get there early on Friday and Saturday nights as the patio fills up fast. Their weekend brunch is awesome as well. read more

I have always loved Jackie's crawfish! The cook and seasoning has always been just right. They're always a perfect size. And most importantly, NO straight tails! I mean... don't you hate it when you pay good money for crawfish and you get a bunch of straight tails? Well, it's been 3 years since I've had crawfish from Jackie's and guess what!! Not a dang thing has changed...except.... wait for it... They've added tossed sauce!!! WHAT?!?!!! Yes, y'all!!! We got the garlic tossed sauce and let me tell you! Little bits of garlic sauce paired with a perfectly seasoned boil and you now have crawfish that is SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!! This combo is a MUST try!!! One thing to note about Jackie's, and I wish they'd fix this, is their bathrooms. They're small and not well placed. They serve a lot of crawfish here and their sinks get clogged up. The bathrooms are kept clean, they just need to do some build-out or add portable sink stations outside and I think this would help with bathroom traffic. Otherwise, the service is pretty good. This place was decent, it reminded me of some of the little hole in the wall Cajun restaurants scattered deep in Louisiana. Crawfish was out of season while we were there so I can't speak for those but the "Cajun food" here is not authentic as expected. We also had a taco basket with bang bang shrimp and chorizo. My husband is falling all over himself about how delicious the chorizo taco was! The bang bang shrimp wasn't what we though it would be. Normally with bang bang shrimp, the shrimp is tossed in the sauce. I didn't even see sauce on the taco. We ordered a side Cesar salad, the lettuce was drowned in dressing so my kid didn't want it. We shared a fried plate appetizer and those were really good. We got the pickles, mushrooms, jalapeños, and some wings. Those were all normal. All of the drinks we ordered were fantastic! The service was lacking. Our waitress was sweet but not attentive and very forgetful. The table of (30) behind us was done and standing talking for over an hour and the table East busted until we were leaving. Overall, it was a good experience and we may be back. read more

Came for the 4lbs for $25 and I could not recommend this place enough! Boyfriend and I like to get ours spicy and we feel it is the perfect amount of spice/ flavor. Crawfish here is a decent size and the deal comes with corn and potatoes. On occasion we do add sausage ! The service here is fast paced but also friendly. To my understanding you seat yourself and someone will come to you almost immediately. There is also a wide variety of seating (indoor, outdoor, bar) . We also enjoy the live music . While the crawfish is good and flavorful my lack of a star comes from the insane amount of claws at the bottom of our bowl... both times that I've gone we've pulled atleast two- three handfuls of crawfish claws out of our 4lbs special... read more

I came here a couple weekends ago after browsing a few pics and Yelp reviews. A few things stood out for me, the menu, the $10 mimosa and the ambiance of the outdoor patio for eating. It also had live music! When I arrived I grabbed one of the outdoor covered tables. It was a Sunday morning and it was time for brunch! I was greeted promptly and served water along with a bottle of champagne and juice for the $10 mimosa we ordered. I ordered my food and enjoyed the life music while my food was being prepared. I had ordered the Old School (Two eggs, with your choice of pan sausage or bacon and a homemade cheddar biscuit or toast). I chose pan sausage and a homemade cheddar biscuit to go with mine. Grits also came with it. I'm not a fan of grits, so I won't speak on their grits. However the rest of my breakfast was amazing. My eggs were cook perfectly like I ordered them. My pan sausage was tasty, smaller than I expected however. The cheddar biscuit was delicious. Even the included fruit was fresh and sweet! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My date had ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was moist and perfectly fried and tasted good. The waffles was great in flavor. My date and I enjoyed our eating experience at Jackie's Brickhouse. I definitely would recommend them for brunch and enjoy the included live music as well. The food was great and the server was on top of it. The only problem I had was that our party was charged outrageous prices for food. I understand the 20% gratuity but what we dealt with was hard to understand. I had ordered a $9 kids meal and a water for a child but when presented with the check it was $15. Adding the $9 plus 20% did not equal $15. Turns out our waitress charged a sprite which was $2 which again still should not add to $15. We had ordered a salad for $16 and was charged $20, and we had ordered a water with the meal... I understand that the gratuity was added but to be charged more for things we did not order is insane. I talked with the manager to understand what the deal was and our server was there as well, I explained that we were charged unfairly and she repeated that it was the gratuity. Although the food was delicious I will not be returning to this establishment as I don't like to be overcharged for my meal. read more
