    Cajun Feast

Was craving crawfish/ seafood boil and this place was recommended by a coworker. My husband & I decided to give it a try. Was happily surprised!! Crawfish/ seafood boil plate was delicious!! I am always looking for spicy good seafood boils, and this hit the spot. Their menu has a variety of dishes. Sat down and was served quickly. Love the ambience. They have outside seating with music, as well as inside seating with big TV's.

The feast is $60 but totally worth it and could be shared but I love seafood.

I got the feast and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The flavors were on point and spicy. Service was great and ambiance was good.

Had an amazing ribeye steak sammie at jackie's today. With fried jalapenos and smoked gouda on it, it was cooked how i asked also. Rare to mid rare so its still tender!

Had lunch here two weeks ago and back today with a friend to try their Black and Blue burger with onion ring strings. The burgers were fabulous both times and quickly becoming my fav burger of all time. Huge tasty fresh meat paddy. The onion strings are so flavorful they can be eaten without ketchup or the fantastic sauce that is on the burger which they bring you more of with your order. The service was fantastic both times. Shout out to Becca and Manual! Had a blast watching some college ball and sucking up all the glorious AC! Highly recommend Jackie's!!! If you have not been here, why not?

We came for brunch, then came back for dinner the next day! For brunch, hubby got three breakfast tacos - one of each: bacon, sausage, chorizo. He enjoyed them! I love a hot honey chicken, so I got that sandwich for brunch and it was so messy and so yummy. We also got a carafe (or two) of Mimosa! When we came back for dinner, we sat on the outside patio. There was a guitarist which was really nice ambience! Hubby had the club sandwich, which is usually more of my thing. He really enjoyed it and have me one quarter of it since it was pretty big! I had the shrimp spinach salad, but with blackened chicken instead of shrimp. It was really good, fresh, and satisfying.

This is my second time in Jackie's, this time I took my mom. We had a blast, there was live music, was a Wednesday! Ice cold beers, and great attention from servers. This time we ordered as an appetizer the Ahi tuna, came cut like a steak, with avocado and ponzu sauce. The tuna felt fresh, and well seasoned, went perfect with the creaminess of the avocado, and the citrusy flavors of the sauce. We also ordered the Brickhouse baked oysters, this was a large plate of Oysters with jalapeños, bacon and Parmesan. The flavor of the oyster with the bacon is perfection, kitchen is not cheap with the Parmesan, and jalapeños make everything better. Don't skip this special.

We took our dog there on a Saturday afternoon and our server came immediately with ice water for him. A few minutes later, another server came with bacon for him & he was in heaven! The menu has a good assortment of appetizers, sandwiches and salads. Nice size portions and food was very tasty.

My parents ordered the Cajun Feast and gave it a 4 star It's enough for 3 big eaters, if you want to sample different things. Good music, good events, good vibes

Special 2lbs of crawfish and some shrimp includes the potatoes and corn. Added eggs and butter and spicy seasoning

Me and my aunt were looking for a new spot to try around the area and we heard about this place . The live crawfish here are HUGE and the specials are great!! . Now the only thing i recommend when coming here is paying a little extra for spicy garlic if you like your mud bugs wet! They are a little light on the spicy/seasoning side but you really can't complain when you are paying under $30 for some big mud bugs!! They also have an inside and outside area which are both big and clean. Our waitress was nice and the service here was good! I will be coming back.

Jackie's Brickhouse has delicious food and attentive service. The staff is very friendly. The weekend brunch is outstanding. I ordered the chicken waffle taco and it was delicious, my husband ordered the breakfast skillet it was amazing. We will be back for some crawfish and brunch!

Our dog enjoys hanging with us on the patio! Jackie's is Addie approved!

Ask the Community - Jackie’s Bar & Grill

Would this be a suitable place for a group of High School Seniors to come and eat and enjoy the live music or is it an 18 and over place?

I would say it depends because it seems it's an older group that hangs out there but everyone is friendly. People do drink and have a good time but I personally wouldn't want my HS Senior to do this. Not that it's a bad place but just my opinion.

    Is this place dog friendly?

Yes! I saw many dogs outside on the patio

Are the crawfish fresh or frozen? Are they cooked Cajun style with the spices?

Yes they are fresh and yes Cajun style :)

It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar. Dim lights, really modern decor, comfy suede chairs and best of all, some really great cocktails. If you are ever in Downtown Houston, I highly recommend you coming here. I promise you will have the best time. We did not stay for dancing.

Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.

The entrance is so fun and charming. I love how 50s hula music is playing while you enter the bar. The hula girl wallpaper in the bathroom also plays well into the theme. One of my friends was six months pregnant at the time and found the mocktail selection to be really good. We were quite full from dinner but didn't mind the snack offerings. I explained I'm gluten intolerant, and the bartender went through the snack pairings I could have. My drink (Speaky Tiki Old Fashioned) came with the rice, and it was so, so good. We actually plan on coming back this weekend, and I'm salivating at the thought of the crispy rice. Don't skip out on this place! It's one of the best speakeasies I've been to.

The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. The upstairs is couples only, but the bouncer told me that if you'd slip him $20 then you can go upstairs and try your luck. The pictures they show you are brightened. This place is nearly pitch black. And I'm not saying this to blow up anyone's spot, it probably is a great spot for couples but it just wasn't my scene, especially when I vouched that it was a good place for me and my guy friend to chill. Also, the bartender wouldn't give me and my friend the time of day. I was really excited to see how this place made drinks and they wouldn't even service me and my friend...she just was checking her social media.
