Its wonderfully tacky, has a party atmosphere and is great for enjoying drinks and delivers what you'd expect from bar food meets seafood restaurant. Time your visit for the happy hour to save big. I can't really pin-point what I don't like other than it's just always somewhat bland and sort of unimaginative. Service was OK, had to wait about 5 min before anyone even took my order but the food was great & you cant get a better atmosphere then being right on the beach. It was VERY crowded for a Thursday! I had the Mahi Mahi wrap jerk style & subbed the corn crawfish chowder for 1.50 more. All was great! Others got the Fish n Chips & shrimp (bangbang & fried) all was delish! This place is pretty nice. Very casual. I had personally never eaten here before, we just went for the night life, which is always a good time! We went for lunch and I enjoyed the chipotle chicken wrap. Nothing special, but was good. The bangin' shrimp is where it is at, though! Fries were awesome and I loved their chipotle ranch! This was a great place to stop and get lunch while driving the A1A! Parking lot is small and a pain but it's like that everywhere on the beachside places. If you enjoy being around young people, this is the place for you. We have lived in Cocoa Beach for 4 years now and Coconuts used to be one of our favorite places to go. Lately we have been experiencing issues with multiple things and it seems to lie in the fact that the management obviously does not care about it's workers or customers. In the many times we have been here (at least 20 times prior to the difficulties), we have never had the same server twice which tells me it is probably not a great place to work. If they treat the servers the way they treat customers with issues, I understand why. The latest issue we had was that they refused to take a valid $2 coupon - the coupon clearly states that it has to be shown to the server to be honored (not printed). My father in law asked to speak to the manager who rudely refused to accept it - very insulting considering that our bill was over $66. If you do not want to take coupons, then don't offer them - it is really as simple as that. Then last week, we arrived at 9PM only to be told that their kitchen was too busy and we could only order food off of the late night menu (not very good, little selection - supposed to start at 10PM) as the "kitchen could not handle the crowd"!! For a business that has been there for this many years, you would think they could adequately staff their kitchen. One night, we arrived at 10:15PM to be told rudely that the kitchen was closed - we saw the kitchen staff leaving as we were arriving. Again, if you want to close at 10 that is fine - but make that your hours and don't pretend to be open later. If we just wanted drinks, there are plenty of better places to get them. One day, we waited to speak to the manager for literally over an hour - we asked many different people to ask him to come out of his office (we were just trying to pick up a prepaid gift card) and in the end he never did. He finally sent it out with someone else - he did not even have the courtesy to come out and apologize for making us wait so long. I do not understand what happened to this place but it is evident they do not care about their customers - I guess they know because since they are on the beach they will always have a steady stream of customers and don't care if they lose some. As Cocoa Beach residents that try very hard to support our local businesses, it is disapointing to say the least. This place is awesome! First off, they serve PAPER STRAWS!! Yes! Save the turtles! Second, they have options for everyone, including a vegan burger and veggie wrap for non-meat eaters. Came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Very lively place, great service (Joe) and casual beachy atmosphere. The blackened shrimp tacos were terrific and the margarita was the best I've had in Cocoa Beach. It's a little noisy, but that just adds to the beach scene. Will definitely be back! read more
