He absolutely loves going each week--what started as hands-on STEM activities like robotics and science projects has grown into so much more. We've seen his confidence, problem-solving skills, and creativity flourish in ways that truly impress us. What stands out most is how intentional and thoughtful the staff is with each child's development. They meet kids where they are, encourage curiosity, and make learning genuinely fun. It's rare to find a place that blends education, excitement, and personal growth this well. We also want to specifically recognize the incredible effort that went into the Northrop Grumman Space Park Tour. It was an unforgettable experience for our family and clearly the result of a tremendous amount of coordination, planning, and care. Bringing Nathan to Northrop was deeply meaningful--my mother, who recently passed away, dedicated 43 years of her career there, and my father also spent over 20 years with the company. My kids have returned over the years to join Code Ninjas for coding, Minecraft camp, mobile app creation camp and the annual El Segundo great puzzle hunts. The summer camps are great! It's a balance of brain exercises and fun. My boys have said each year that these are the best camps all summer. Being snarky pre-teens, my boys are pretty hard to impress on a daily basis - take it from me, this is high praise. I expected my boys to have rated coding above chess, biology, chemistry and sewing camp. I make them do those camps to learn and prevent the summer slide. But, guess what, my boys rated Code Ninjas above surfing (!), karate, tennis, beach play, and soccer summer camps. They are avid soccer players and have friends in those team sports. I just assumed my boys would rank those camps the highest. Year over year, my kids say Code Ninjas hosts the best camps and they beg to return. Code Ninjas offers a range of courses and camps. They accept a broad age range - younger than I imagined. Youngest kids can start with Scratch-based activities. The after school program, I hear, is rigorous and more academically oriented. Facilities are well lit, colorful and filled with new technology. There are areas with good games for brain breaks. Teachers are attentive and caring. Owner is involved in the day-to-day operations. The owner's dad takes all the pictures as a proud dad and social media king. :) It's a nice family owned business. I like that Code Ninjas hosts events to inspire and challenge kids: - speaker events from entrepreneurs - show and tell events with high school robotics teams - community building events like the great annual El Segundo Puzzle Hunt -- it's fantastic (and tricky) screen-free fun for the whole family all around town - service events like making meal kits with Rise Against Hunger with the local Rotary Club - STEM events like visiting the local water treatment facility Coding is pretty hot right now. my kids have been going to Code Ninja for over 5 years, multiple locations. They have the best Robotics courses. My kids felt the Minecraft camp was really helpful for them to advance their gaming. my oldest son loved the 3D printer camp. He took it twice and we now own our own 3D Printer. the staff is very friendly and helpful. if your kid loves gaming, coding, robotics or CAD design Code Ninja camps are a must. read more

From a Grandmother's point of vie. Code ninja is ok your child is not African America. My 6 yr old grandson has been attending this program for a couple of weeks 3 hrs a day. Every day I pick my grandson up after class. I ask the staff how was my grandson's day. I was told just fine except one day he was upset because he didnt attend class the day they made small play computer. This morning after dropping my grandson off at class the manager of the program called me and said the class is not a good fit for my grandson. This last weekend supposedly a child told his mom that my grandson hit him with a marker and tried to sit on him. I ask my grandson he said the boy didn't cry and he thought they were playing. The manager said when the parent saw my grandson this morning she was very upset and was in fear for her son's safety. Also the manager said my grandson tried to destroy another kids computer that the kid made. she also said possibly my grandson is an only child and he needs more space and wants everything. The manager wanted me to come and get my grandson. When I arrived at the class. I told them what the manager said they were completely oblivious to everything I ask them why they didn't tell us. That my grandson tried to destroy someone's computer. if my grandson did what the manager said where was the staff. They apologized. The manager talked about our family dynamics and took the word of another person to remove my black grandson from the class. Where's the supervision?. This was racist. No one ever talked to me or my grandsons mom the staff also lied and said they talked to my grandson's mom on Friday. No they did not. If you're African American not married to a white or Asian person with biracial kids or white or Asian. Don't enroll your child. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about the day camp at Code Ninjas El Segundo! It's my 9yo's favorite camp each summer. the staffers are so hands on, positive, encouraging and patient. The days are thoughtfully organized and keep my ADHD kiddos attention-its also not just sitting in front of a screen. there's outdoor body break time to move around plus non screen brain challenges like rubiks cube, legos, 3D printing, etc. I recommend it to all my friends! read more

We love Code Ninjas! My 7 year old has attended several day camps and both my 5 and 7 year olds just started the after school program. I love that they are learning how to create in an age-appropriate and engaging way that acknowledges evolving technology. The employees are great and the owner is very present and takes pride in his company and it shows! We completed this year's puzzle hunt as a family and it was a blast. Really fun to figure out the puzzles together and travel around town to find the answers. It was a reward in itself but then we attended the after party, which had more puzzles, more fun, and every kid went home with a legitimate big prize/gift. To say my son loves this place is an understatement - we steadily increased our weekend spend here and it's been nothing short of amazing! My son is 6 years old and in the jr program. He loves games, I mean loves and spends his time between stem based activities and coding. He enjoys problem solving and designing games/activities for others to solve. My daughter, Hadley, recently started Code Ninja classes and just loves it! She enjoys video games and seems very into logical sequences so it has turned out to be a perfect fit for her. Although she is learning, it feels like fun so she is super excited to go and still energized when I come to pick her up. Among the things I like about Code Ninjas, these are a few of the highlights: - Drop off arrangement - Gives me time back in the day to run some errands etc, and helps build her independence [parents are not allowed in the Dojo!] - Easy online booking system - offers flexibility for how you use your hours, or you can plan ahead if you want a tighter schedule. - Mix of screen time and STEM play - isn't all computer-based - Curriculum to follow to chart progress - great to map how she is learning and progressing through the core competencies. Code Ninjas has great workshops. Our child did the YouTube one and the 3D Printing. Also, we went on one of their field trips to the West Basin Municipal Water District. Very educational. Remember, one thing you are getting through CN is your kid interacting with a community of kids whose parents are invested in their children becoming skilled in coding and technology. Code Ninja can be great for kids, I think 5 to 6 is a great age to start on computers. Originally I wasn't sure what they were learning, but now we get booklets letting us know what they are doing. The kids have a great time. My one issue was they did arts and crafts. For my son, he didn't really do much of it but my daughter used to really focus on that and I felt it was a steep price to do arts and crafts. But if you talk to your kids and have them focus on the computer side, they start to type and play more coding games with the sensei and its a lot more directed. Also their communication is great and if you ask them to try to redirect your kids, they will also help. read more

Code Ninjas is a wonderful enrichment program for kids. Both our sons have enjoyed their trial class so much that we signed up for a week of camp. We also really loved all the special programs that they make available to help the kids learn about coding and technology. Our older son recently attended a tour of an actual video game company where he learned in detail about various jobs and specializations in the industry. we just had an amazing birthday experience at Code Ninja. we are regular monthly members (which alone has been a great experience for our 7 year old), but the Birthday offering is great. My 10 year old daughter has been attending the center since it first opened in the fall of 2021 and she loves going as the curriculum makes learning fun! The dojo is new, very clean and is run very well by the owner and the director and the Senseis (teachers) are fun, smart and engaging. On top of learning how to code (which is something I can not help my daughter with), my daughter also does the Stem room where she gets to do fun stem based activities. The center has a great online system where you can book your desired classes as well as track your child's progress as they strive to get to the next belt (level). As the world evolves to more and more technology, I'm thrilled to have Code Ninjas around to help build a foundation for my daughter in a very fun and interactive way - definitely highly recommend it! read more
