The service was great (thanks Kenzie) We had the tower of onion rings they where great also order the Buffalo Shrimp which where big and fresh tasting. Your meal comes with a monster bowl of salad and awesome yeast rolls the cinnamon butter was out of this world. I ordered a Ribeye steak it was cooked to perfection and I would have given this review a 5 star but the only draw back that I tasted was the steak had no seasoning put on it which resulted in a less than perfect tasting piece of meat. We enjoyed Cody's a lot. After a long day we stopped in for an early dinner/late lunch and happily got to enjoy the 2for1 margaritas and early dinner specials. The prime rib was cooked to medium, flavorful and tender. The steak pieces over onions and mushrooms was yummy and also cooked to medium as requested. The salad was excellent and the yeast rolls with cinnamon butter were also excellent and probably our favorite part. The sweet potato and black beans and yellow rice sides were also very good. All of the folks there are really nice and Christina did an excellent job as our server. Next time we are in Sebring we will certainly stop in again and hopefully enjoy everything as much as we did this time. We finished at around 5 and the place was already filling up for the 2for1 fajitas which is a fantastic deal! read more

First time visiting Sebring....not many restaurant choices, so a friend recommended Cody's. It's decorated cute like other roadhouse restaurants, ( Logan's, Texas Roadhouse,) and they have the peanuts in the buckets as well. The menu looked great: lots of options, but not too healthy. I ordered the 1/2 chicken but they came back after I ordered and said they were out. I asked what other healthy choices there were and they said they had a grilled chicken breast.(Apparently it was too healthy to feature in the menu.). Grilled chicken was good but simple, one friend ordered a filet and they brought her a shriveled up one with bacon wrap, not what she ordered so it was sent back. The rest of our party was almost done by the time her new steak came out, and she said it wasn't good either. Two friends had the ribs and they said they were ok, they didn't like the rub on them. Another friend had fried garlic shrimp & she said they were just ok too. Server was overly friendly, we wanted to make a drinking game out of how many times she called us "darlin'." read more

We had the sweetest waitress wish I could remember her name but she was fantastic and was on point.. god was great I usually always get a steak and they have never sent out me a bad one. But last night I was not very hungry so I opted for steak quesadilla. And I'm a creature of habit. I find something and I stick with. But now I found something new that I love. Interesting place & nice concept. The cinnamon butter (served with their yeast rolls) was fantastic. But, the steaks were served at room temperature, and the waiter wanted to argue in an explanation of how their steaks are served. (I KNOW how steaks are to be served - just in case you were wondering.) The more disappointing thing about our visit was their refusal to substitute various items to be included with the entree's. It was quite aggravating to 'not' be able to get what you want. Why would anyone want to PAY to be treated like an inmate or some moron who doesn't know what to order - only to be then served a mediocre steak that is cold? Try it if you must. And, I may even give them one more chance. But, it probably won't be anytime soon. read more

My husband and I with another couple went to this Cody's tonight for dinner. My husband ordered the sirloin steak that was the Thursday night special. When it arrived it was so tough that he struggled to take the first cut. Unlike him he asked the waitress to please have it replaced. The waitress informed us that the manager in duty, Amy would be bringing the new piece back. 15 mins passed, meanwhile everyone at the table had already finished their meals when his steak was returned. I couldn't believe it when he went to cut into it it was no better than the first one. You would have thought the manager would have asked him to cut into it to ensure that it was better since he was already an unpleased customer. He asked for a to go box and put it in it. I'm sure only to sit in our refrigerator until I discard it. We are generally pleased but we both feel the situation was not rectified nor did Amy seem concerned. Left very unhappy. read more

This is probably the worst steakhouse i have ever eaten at and I've had some bad experiences. i ordered one of the most expensive items on the menu (10oz filet mignon) and it was brought to the table with wrong toppings and not cooked properly so i sent it back. i waited for almost 20 minutes for them to return my steak. During that time server never came over to check on table or give an update. When the other person with me had finished eating i decided that i was not going to wait any longer. After paying the bill minus the filet Mignon i was handed my steak in a box. if i could give this establishment 0 stars i would. I will never return here, to summarize the service is a joke and their cooks don't know how to properly cook a high dollar steak. read more

My 2 kids and I came in for an early dinner, so not too busy. My teen had the hot boneless wings, they looked like chicken nuggets and had no sauce on them, he said they tasted terrible and did not finish them. I had the pulled pork sandwich, pork was so rubbery and had no flavor, I could not eat the sandwich. I told the waitress and they offered me something else. A manager did come and talk to me, that was good. I picked the fried fish sandwich, appeared freshly prepared, but the fish itself was not very fresh, tasted fishy. I ate half, that was all. My younger child liked her corn dog. I thought, "Well, how can you mess up a corn dog?!" Service was wonderful, but I won't go back because the food was so bad. read more

The service by Shelby was very good. The Manager was never seen. The AC was not working well. It was very hot inside. Service and decor were the best things about this place. Also coconut shrimps were good which was a surprise for a steak house. We also had 3 steaks. One prime rib was undercooked and other 2 steaks were very average. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Cody's yet. I've eaten here many more times than my check-ins indicate. During tourist season you have to get here early or be prepared to wait. But in summer it's a breeze. Cody's has a great Early Bird special menu that goes from 4pm-6pm. On Tuesdays, it's two for one drinks and children eat for free. What a combination; families with children and retirees with drinks lined up on the table. Last night I had the prime rib with a baked potato. With certain entrees you receive the bottomless salad bowl and yeast rolls with cinnamon butter. The salad is always fresh and the dressing seems to be a creamy Italian. The rolls with the cinnamon butter are sinful and I don't often eat them. But, they ARE delicious. I asked for medium rare prime rib and my piece was perfect. It's a very flavorful prime rib and not too salty. The baked potato was a well baked potato but not noteworthy. Service was cheerful and conscientious. read more

Went there yesterday (Sunday) around 12-1pm waited 15 min. to be seated, not bad. Had a great waitress Beth, who couldn't be more accommodating and happy to wait on our table. But, most of all I had a ribeye steak cooked to perfection!!!! I have been up and down US 27 at different restaurants had their steak and this was the best by far. We visited Cody's last night with my mom and sister. This was their first visit and they thought it was great. Although my sister did remark that it was hard to talk to each other because of the acoustics. There must have been about 10 birthdays there last night so constant singing was going on. My mom had the potato skins and she thought they were delicious. My sister and I had the salmon and she loved it.... it always seems to come out pretty good, and I love the sauce that they put with it. My husband had the ribeye and he said it was pretty good, though a little tough. The salad was enjoyed by all. All in all, a pretty good time. read more
