Best coffee anywhere! We had to drive from Volcano to to the Kona Airport early and this was the first restaurant that was open along the way. The food was great! I had the skillet while my wife had a bagel, my son in law a croissant sandwich and my daughter had a bagel. The skillet wasn't served in a skillet but you don't eat the skillet. The eggs and peppers were perfectly prepared. I had a croissant and the strawberry jam was outstanding. But it was the coffee that I really like. It is a coffee that is grown and roasted locally. This place was extremely disappointing. They were incredibly unorganized and inefficient. After inquiring about our meal after a 30 minute wait, they asked if we still wanted the food or a refund - as options are limited, we opted to wait. At that time, the waitress called across to the kitchen to start our food. We spent over 45 minutes waiting for our orders and they were made incorrectly - our oatmeal's were missing the correct fruit and the skillet was missing the potatoes. Just had breakfast. My omelet turned into a scramble floating in water. I don't understand what that water is all about. Also they offered sausage patty as the meat. The scramble has barely cooked (mushy) link sausage. It offered muffin or toast on menu however I received neither. Not a good first impression. Probably won't return. read more

Eh this place like every other eatery in this town gets business cause there like zero options so people eat here out of desperation and or lack of choices. Literally they pull stuff out of the freezer that you can get at Costco and whip up yourself ie: like the smoothie I had from the front fridge. The food is inconsistent depending on the cook and it's usually consistently not that great. I wish this town would open up a restaurant/cafe with some real passion in their food/service. Wonderful food and people. The coffee is always fresh. If you order any of the burritos, you better be hungry. They are delicious, and of "ample size." I'm now addicted to the Breakfast BLT on the croissant. An additional hint to the quality of the food and the service is that the locals hang out there. And a big plus: virtually any item in the menu can be prepared vegetarian or vegan. They aim to please. An essential point: YELP has the location wrong. This place would be easily passed by if you weren't aware if it, sandwiched between an auto parts store and a Post Office. Luckily a local told us of its awesomeness. We came for lunch but they serve breakfast all day. The breakfast burrito is to die for. Didn't get a chance to try the coffee but it smelled great as well. Stopped for a quick snack and had some amazing curry chicken soup. Had a cup of smooth coffee as well. Everyone was friendly, the cook came out to chat. Worth stopping in, right on hwy 11. Soup was recommended by a local and there were many local residents in the restaurant. Usually a good sign when the locals lime eating there. Definitely worth a stop. My wife and I had breakfast, I had a breakfast burrito which was very large. Eggs, cheese, onions, salsa and more. The meal was quick and easy and the food was delicious. They are an oasis in the volcano desert, worthy of interrupting the gotta-get-to-da-volcano drive-by! Honestly, even Starbucks doesn't put COFFEE ICE CUBES in their iced coffee! Sooooo glad we had to stop for gas and noticed their storefront behind the gas pump area. It's in a mini-strip beside a new grocery store in the only convenience area in that part of the Big Island. They have flavored coffee too as well as other food items. We live on the island and will now always include this sinful pleasure on our trips to the south end. read more

Stopping in on the way to Kona, which I wish we waited an other hour than grabbing coffee here. We had to wait a couple mins for the girl behind the counter to come out from the back. Only to have her seem annoyed to take our order. Ordered two ice vanilla lattes with added shots. They only had one 16 oz cup left, the only option she gave us was to order one 20 oz and was charged for the large cup, rather than two 16 oz that we wanted. Coffee tasted sub par, and were given a room temperature ice vanilla latte with no vanilla no added shot for 9.50+$ each. read more

Kenny and Jenny just bought this place about a month ago and they've made a lot of positive changes. Their sandwiches are delicious, I recently had the grilled cheese and tomato- choice of cheese, choice of bread and most everything appears to be natural or local. My wife had a rosemary chicken sandwich was delicious as well very friendly very flexible in making changes to your order your request. My grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a slice of tomato they grilled the ham first which was a nice touch and then grilled sandwich it was delicious! You would never expect such good food could exist in a little strip center behind the gas station but it does, if you're traveling through its well worth it. read more

AMAZING. I have no idea why they're located in Ocean-View, they'd make a KILLING in town. With that being said, I'm so glad my little family can come in and grab breakfast while we're on the go! The food is delicious, the service is amazing and the prices are INCREDIBLE! Love this place! Been here twice and the service is excellent, friendly staff and always smiling. I ordered bacon, potatoes, avocado and egg. The bacon melts in your mouth, talk about heaven!
