Not a whole lot to say about Apple Barrel. I didn't have high expectations, but still I was disappointed. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon...the eggs were dry and tasteless. I tried doctoring them up with salt and pepper but to no avail. The bacon was fine. Service was average...the waitress wasn't very prompt or personable but no major problems. Overall I was underwhelmed and won't be back.

We stopped her on our way home from daily vacation. The chicken fried chicken bowl was just what I needed. It was delicious and filling.

This place has terrible service. The waitress was rude, and my food came out raw. Do not eat here.

The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare and the truffle fries had a nice texture with a little sauce on top. The risotto was nice and creamy. The Argentinian steak was tender and not too heavy. The fish sandwich was gigantic. The Brussels sprouts were soft and crispy with no bitterness. There was not one dish that was not satisfactory. The only thing I wish they did was maybe do something extra special for my birthday... like maybe a birthday dessert or something! However, service was fine. The waiter had to ask 3 times what we wanted because he didn't write it down or anything but that's ok. Not a big deal.

The steak on the wontons was super tender. I had the Alpine Chicken Sandwich and I did enjoy the flavors however it was a bit dry. One in our party ordered the seafood risotto and wasn't too happy with it. The patio looked inviting. Would be nice to sit outside for some apps. I'd give them another try for sure and order something else. The restaurant was very large and didn't seem over loud with all of the people there.

They have a pretty big menu with a variety of items and everything i have posted and eaten was very good. The bartender/server guy said it was a scratch kitchen and it seems like that with the quality. The only issue i had the few times i have been here is the lack of support staff. You can expect the bartender to do the work of 6 people and someone not get annoyed. So if they have not fixed that yet expect to have a longer wait than you would expect for service getting drinks and food ordered up. Once you do get your items like i said it is good stuff. The interior of the place is pretty cool with tons of movie posters on a second story area.

The restaurant was quickly filled by trivia contestants. We sat at a table, to see the folks giving out questions. The booths make viewing difficult. Next time we'll try a booth, as they look more comfortable. Service started out sparse. That poor woman was already slim, and the volume of people, with just one waitress, guaranteed she'd be slimmer by end of night. They got it together and provided some help for her for serving. The staff was good, friendly and enjoyable. I expect that someone was missing that day, as it seemed unusual for the lone waitress. She was even kind enough to apologize to us and ask for patience. That was something I appreciated. The did give us everything we ordered and it was all good, both food and drinks. Not too memorable, but good. The location has immensely high ceilings with movie posters on them. A giant fan keeps the air moving. It was a good and useful appearance. One I appreciated. Parking was easy. Being attached to Alamo Drafthouse, one could find that difficult, but fortunately. The lot is huge, facing north and wrapping around the east side. Trivia was fun. While we didn't do as well as the rest of the mob, we had fun! That, diligent service, reasonable eats and drinks, and easy parking made it an event we will likely attend again. Bonus that one can visit this before or after a movie without leaving the building. I recommend it.

The good vibes started right away when we were instantly greeted with an "Aloha" from one of the servers, who ended up being ours for the night! He was so upbeat, attentive, and kind. We truly hope to have him again next time we visit. For drinks, my husband ordered the Lonebirch Cabernet and loved it. Such a great bottle of wine. I ordered the Bibimbap, which is my go-to every time we come here, and it was absolutely delicious as always. I love all the vegetables it comes with, and once it's all stirred together with the rice, every bite is packed with flavor. Perfection. My husband tried something new, the Steak + Frites and completely devoured it. He said the steak was delicious and the fries were perfectly crispy. You could tell everything was fresh. Another big shoutout to our waiter for taking such great care of us. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately the caesar salad was a miss, the dressing was weird and tasted a lot more like ranch than anything else. The popcorn chicken on top was just eh. I realize this may not be the place to order a salad... but even for a sports bar it wad just not great. My boyfriend got a burger and seemed to enjoy that a lot more! We probably wouldn't be back. My family and I love going to the movies, and we have opted for the season pass at times because of how often we come here. The ambiance is very comfortable, lush, and reminds me of old school movie theaters. Each set of seats has a table (and a purse hook, which I love) to give you a true dining experience while watching your favorite films. The Alamo consistently does movie series, and will show reruns or specials, one of my favorites being the Max Fleischer series featuring Betty Boop shorts. I love the opportunity to see older movies in theaters, and the Alamo does an amazing job of making the experience all-encompassing. I have been to one of their special brunch showings of White Christmas, for which they had a fun themed menu. It was truly the most fun and festive movie showing, and I would highly recommend getting the Alamo app to see what is showing in the future. Some movies are better on the big screen, and the Alamo consistently delivers. The menu is also great and I have always enjoyed everything I eat from here. I always try a burger and a new mixed drink, but their loaded fries are A+ and I would advise ordering them! The staff is incredibly kind, and very speedy. In the rare instance that my order has been forgotten, they have been very prompt in correcting the mistake. As someone who is tired of attending movies just to hear chatting and snickering, which I have had to deal with at other Omaha theaters, the Alamo has a strict no-phone, no-talk, no arriving late policy, which I personally feel makes the experience even better. They truly value the customer experience, and I will continue to come here time and time again.
